31/10/2025: When we review a place, we don't just focus on the quality of their products, but above all on the overall service. As others have pointed out, the wait times aren't the fastest, but as is well known, haste isn't the best companion for those who do things well. We're clearly in a pastry shop that has made history here in Palermo and has been a model for many others. We were talking about the service: kindness, courtesy, and very polite manners. We had requested a dessert that was unfortunately out of stock at the time, and when we asked the waiter, he kindly recommended an alternative that fully satisfied us, paying particular attention to our specific needs. There's little to say about the desserts and the rest; just read the other reviews. In any case, 7 Veli, granitas, cheesecakes, and single portions in general: a big no-brainer. It's the best pastry shop in Palermo, maybe not, but it's definitely among the best. We haven't noticed any particular impediments for certain types of disabled people. If you're looking for parking in the area, forget it.

16/10/2025: We waited over 40 minutes for an order of simple fries, a fried food, a salad, and two pizzas—unfortunately, they were served cold. Service was virtually nonexistent. An overall disappointing experience: I would not recommend Mangia's to anyone looking for even a modicum of quality and attention to their guests.

28/09/2025: Not enough staff, waited 1 hour for pizza. No chance to order second beverage, two people serving 60 people and very slow. Pizza was good though.

07/10/2025: Panificio Rizzo is truly an exceptional discovery! As soon as you enter, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfectly baked and with an authentic, time-honored flavor. The desserts are also excellent: the brioches are soft and fragrant, and the focaccia is simply spectacular. You can tell they use quality ingredients and are passionate about what they do. The staff is friendly, the environment clean, and the attention to detail is top-notch. Every time I stop by, I can't leave empty-handed! Highly recommended for those who love authentic artisanal bread and authentic flavors.

10/08/2025: It's horrifying to walk into a place where food is sold and see flies fluttering and landing on the food without any of the staff doing anything. I think everyone, from the owners to the staff, should take a serious course in food hygiene. Everything else is secondary.

18/09/2025: I'm a regular, often coming for the spleen sandwich, but today the service was terrible: three employees at the counter, the place empty, I repeatedly asked to pay immediately so as not to miss my train, and I was completely ignored. The sandwich was served raw and with day-old bread. This is not normal treatment, especially towards someone who has trusted and paid for it for a long time. I'm posting this negative review because I felt cheated, I got upset, and I even risked missing my train. If the place wants to make up for it with an adequate refund (not just the cost of the sandwich), I'll be willing to remove this review.

16/11/2025: Basic gas station and mini market. Americans can expect to pay cash for gas. Both guys we interacted with were very nice and welcoming.

12/11/2025: For years, the lo pani ca meusa was considered the best in the city. Nowadays, I think they're living off the profits, selling it too expensive compared to when it was a popular focacceria. They should return to its original, Vasto-style origins.

16/10/2025: I came for a business trip. The staff made my life so much easier, especially the receptionists, Rosy and Alexia. The room is a bit dated, but the beds and pillows are comfortable. The pool area is very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast is varied (although the menu was the same every day) and delicious. I would recommend it for a trip to a quiet beach area, but its location and poor bus connections make it difficult to get to the center of Palermo.

02/11/2025: Weekend in Palermo. I'll start by saying that my assessment is based solely on the type of pizza itself. Walking by pure chance, we stumbled upon the famous pizzeria Da Michele, so we decided to try their famous cartwheel pizza. Cooked in a wood-fired oven, the pizzas are traditionally very thin but delicious, with a light dough and good-quality ingredients. Personally, I'm not a fan of extremely thin pizzas, but this one is pleasant to eat. The place is welcoming and has a fairly quiet atmosphere.

30/10/2025: It's relatively less authentic than the original location in Naples. The staff is quite polite, and the service is excellent. It seemed a bit more expensive than the Naples location, but overall, the prices are reasonable.

15/10/2025: We ate lunch there, and were very pleased with our meals. The waiter and owner were very attentive. We chose pizza and pasta with the fish of the day, red mullet. We highly recommend it. Nicolas and Florence

14/10/2025: The place is very nice. I ordered swordfish Palermo-style, but it came grilled. Quite good. Price is average.

21/10/2025: I asked for a sandwich without cheese (since I'm lactose intolerant), and they were very kind to make me one on the spot with tomatoes, anchovies, and olives. It was delicious! The desserts were also delicious! I tried an almond paste sandwich, and my friends tried ricotta calzoncini. Fantastic! Highly recommended!
