05/05/2024: Ci siamo seduti intorno alle 14:00, nessuno ci avverte delle modalità con cui si svolge il pranzo, soltanto un cameriere di circa 18 anni a seguito di domanda risponde timidamente: “Credo ci sia menù fisso a se non sbaglio 30€”; veniamo raggiunti da un cameriere di maggiore esperienza il quale in maniera confusa ci indica le modalità che di seguito elenco 12 Antipasti (1 pezzo a persona che onestamente erano molto buoni e in quantità dignitosa) 2 Primi (Chiediamo al cameriere da cosa fossero composti questi primi e ci risponde in dialetto “Buoni sono ve li potete mangiare”, scopriamo in seguito che si trattava di pasta carciofi e ricotta nel primo caso e nel secondo pasta con i broccoli, faccio presente che non posso mangiarla ed inizia un teatrino degno di Aldo Giovanni e Giacomo in cui i camerieri si rimbalzavano la notizia della mia impossibilità nel mangiare broccoli) ci servono 2 vassoi da condividere che contenevano a dir loro 4 porzioni cadauno, si è trattato di 3 forchettate esigue per uno (circa 40gr di pasta ad ognuno). 1 Secondo composto da: una manciata della peggiore insalata in busta acquistabile per giunta vecchia e scondita, 1 pezzettino di salsiccia a persona, 1 involtino di numero e per concludere mezza fetta di lonza di maiale della consistenza di una suola di scarpa. Veniamo omaggiati di 4 cannolicchi che per giunta ci arrivano senza zucchero a velo che verrà aggiunto in un secondo momento da un cameriere leggermente più attento. P.s. Alla seconda richiesta di qualche fettina di pane (per giunta vecchio e spugnoso) si sente in sottofondo da parte di una signorina ipotizzo figlia dei proprietari in dialetto: “Ancuara pane ci sta puittannu” (ancora pane gli stai portando) esperienza terribile, mai più, statene lontani chilometri. Sottolineo anche che lo scontrino se si paga in contanti è a richiesta del cliente non viene rilasciato di default.

01/05/2024: Siamo stati in gita scolastica giorno 1 maggio e nonostante ci fosse stato il pienone e noi fossimo un gruppo di 45 persone non è mai mancata la presenza in sala né la cortesia. Il cibo strepitoso! ci si sazia solo con l'antipasto tutto a base di carciofi ma vi assicuro che i primi o i secondi e addirittura i cannoli sono da assaporare. Il personale è addirittura andato incontro alle esigenze di due persone celiache nonostante non le avessimo segnalate durante la prenotazione Sarà il primo posto in cui farò tappa al prossimo viaggio in Sicilia Grazie per la strepitosa esperienza

12/08/2024: I have to say that our stay at Susafa was very underwhelming. Before arriving at Susafa, we stayed at Dimora delle Balze in Noto and the total experience was delightful. Susafa failed by not addressing issues immediately regarding a failed A/C system (which they said would be addressed before the next evening), failed in the underwhelming dinner, in the dirty lounge chairs, in the lack of hot water in the shower, in promising multiple follow-ups either regarding temperature check-in overnight for the failed A/C as well as cleaning supplies. We ended up leaving multiple days early and to not at least comp the night that we slept in the room without A/C shows a lack of integrity. Comping our subpar dinner in not a gesture or note. We are grateful for the initial welcome staff which were warm but beyond that, what a disappointing operation. We share this not to be spiteful but to be informative to others who, like us, may plan their time in Sicily with this as a focal point. Buona fortuna.
