26/10/2025: We came across this bakery-cafe early on a Sunday morning near where we stayed in Palermo. The most delicious (and warm out of the oven) cornetti, accompanied by flavorful coffee and the most welcoming host/atmosphere. There was a beautiful assortment of fresh-baked items - and we can't wait to return the next time we're in Palermo.

28/11/2025: When choosing a restaurant, please note a specific design element: there is a very large and realistic spider figure above the entrance. Those who feel uncomfortable at the sight of arachnids may want to take this into account. Personally, I have decided to choose another place.

30/10/2025: The pizza was good, as it is everywhere in Italy. The carbonara was terrible, and the lasagna was also not recommended.

06/01/2026: We discovered the place thanks to The Fork and ate there during the week 🌼 The place is small, but pleasant due to its cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. Super-fast service and extremely courteous service from the owner and wait staff. The pizza is really good, and you can taste that all the ingredients are carefully chosen to create an excellent blend of flavors. Generous portions. The desserts are also delicious because they're carefully selected (not homemade, but still Sicilian from an excellent pastry shop). My only complaint is that without The Fork's discount, I think the bill would have been higher than average, at least for my budget. So, the prices are "fair" with The Fork, but high without the discount. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes 🤗🌼

26/07/2025: During a business trip to Palermo, we had breakfast and lunch there practically every day, right across the street from Bar Malaga—and we were always satisfied! The breakfast is excellent: fresh croissants, generously filled pastries, and consistently creamy, well-made coffee. A perfect way to start the day with the right energy. For lunch, the bar offers a wide selection of savory items, including hot and well-prepared deli items, and first courses like pasta, always flavorful and served with friendliness. The quality is consistent, the portions generous, and the prices absolutely fair. The staff is friendly, fast, and helpful, even during peak hours. In short, Bar Malaga was a delightful discovery that stayed with us throughout our work. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a convenient, good, and reliable place for both breakfast and lunch.

28/12/2025: It's a small restaurant. But the food is top notch just like their Dragotto olive oil. Highly recommend if you are in Palermo city center or nearby. We had the amberjack and beef fillet both were amazing.

10/03/2026: The restaurant has two rooms, and as tourists, we were the only ones seated in the area facing the street. The pasta was fine, but I wouldn't return for it. The service was excellent. We didn't try the fish dishes.

12/02/2026: A really nice restaurant, very clean, and the service is quick and helpful. There was one minor drawback, though: we would have liked a wine cooler to go with the bottle of white wine. The pizzas were delicious and generously topped. Afterwards, the owner even joined us for a pleasant chat. We highly recommend La Piazzetta.
