08/03/2026: There are two set menus: €50 and €80. We chose the €80 menu and were surprised when the bill came because they charged €4 per person, €4 for water, €3 for coffee, and €6 for limoncello, even though it seemed like they were offering it. The food was good, but not everything on the menu. A shame.

27/02/2026: Such a disappointing experience. The food was utterly tasteless, overly greasy, and just plain disgusting. It was one of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten. To make matters worse, the staff were rude and unprofessional. We couldn’t tolerate the poor quality of the food anymore, so we left halfway through our dinner. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone seeking a decent dining experience.

20/09/2025: Everything is very good!!! From the bread to the pizza....Exceptional biscuits, the Sfogline are the best!!!!.....Highly recommended!!!!! Family run...they are super kind and helpful. Try them!!!!!

30/08/2025: Five stars for the sfincione! Really good. I didn't trust it at first glance, but instead... it was well-cooked and had balanced flavors. The tomato sauce with onion and anchovy was excellent. Good! The iris was also excellent! Very reasonable prices! Home delivery service too.

25/12/2025: The food was very good. Sadly the service was disappointing. Very cold and not interested in revenue and the guests. Very strangely strickt hierarchy, where the "normal" server was not allowed to bring me a glas of sparkking wine for my apertif. I had to wait for the Manager/Supervisor to come to my table. But the first problem was, I like my sparkling wine while I check the menu, because mostly I get a white wine for the first course. At the end till the supervisor came to my table, I already finished checking the menu. I ordered directly a white wine and my food. The wine was brought by the supervisor, as I tasted it, it was to sweet for me. He said "yeah sometimes chardonnay is quite fruity". Proving to me, they have expensive wines but no sommelier knowledge for proper recommendation: sweetness and fruityness in wines have no correlation. After I finished that wihite wine, my glass stayed empty quite a while. The restaurant was not full, there was enough staff, my table was in the middle of the restaurant, they passed my table all the time, sometime even stood in front of my table. Only after picking up my finished main course, I could ask for anogher glass of wine. A rosé this time. Normaly, I get a glass of red wine to finish. I never came to this glass, as again, after finishing my drink, I got completly ignored. I went to many restaurants worldwide, also with michelin stars. Never I got such cold behavior from the service staff. Please talk to your guests, ask if they want something else. You loose revenue not doing that. You could have sold 2 to 3 more glasses to me. As said, kitchen did a great job.

22/10/2025: Great place to try Sicilian street food sandwiches and an aperitif, nice atmosphere, fast service. The so-called meat platter for 2 people is unbeatable and very tasty!!! There is a lot of hustle and bustle on the street, but it's very nice, I can't imagine Italy without hustle and bustle!

03/01/2026: We were looking for vegetarian options, which this restaurant doesn't offer many. We simply didn't find what we wanted. As we were leaving, the waiter mockingly asked, "What, is it too expensive for you?" An unnecessary, rude comment. I definitely don't recommend it. Edit. At the entrance, they asked me if I had a reservation. I replied no. At this point, it was enough to inform them that unfortunately there were no tables available. They showed us where to sit. After reading the menu, we thanked the waitress and said we were looking for something else. :)

01/12/2025: We came here right after a long flight from Sydney, starving and exhausted. We stumbled on this pizza place since it was the closest to our hotel, and we’re so glad we did. The warm ambiance, kind staff, and amazing pizza made the visit unforgettable. We’ll certainly return!

07/10/2025: Here is where it's at! All the locals and travelers alike come here. Fun, great energy, good music, beautiful setting, great beer and drink selections. The owner makes you feel at home. This is a must to do when you come to Gratteri. The locals make you feel like family.

22/09/2025: We ordered pizzas for take away and they tasted very nice! They are very aware of gluten allergies and cross contamination so would definitely recommend this place! Breasaola with tomato bruschetta style was so good 😋🤩

14/02/2026: On our road trip through Sicily we spent a day in Palermo and wanted an authentic dinner spot in the evening. We found La Staffa and it was honestly perfekt. We came in a great season with good weather, warm but not too hot like peak summer, and the city wasnt overloaded with tourists (even if we are tourists too). La Staffa feels like a real family restaurant. The food was super tasty and the team was very friendly. They chatted with us a bit but also gave us space to enjoy our dinner, which I really liked. The chef has worked abroad before and now is back home, you can feel the passion. And the limoncello... wow, really a dream. I would come back for sure.

07/02/2026: We arrived at our hotel quite late at night and were worried we wouldn’t find anywhere to eat. Luckily, this lovely restaurant nearby stayed open for us until almost 1 a.m. 🌙 and even prepared special pizzas for takeaway 🍕✨ We were so touched by their kindness and willingness to accommodate us so late in the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely welcoming 💛 Their positive energy and warmth immediately made us feel comfortable and cared for. The pizzas were absolutely incredible — truly some of the best we’ve ever had 🤩👌 We were so impressed that we later came back to dine at the restaurant, and once again everything was perfect. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the service were outstanding 🌟 No one has ever taken such good care of us before. They truly made our trip to Sicily unforgettable 🇮🇹❤️ We are so grateful for their warmth and hospitality — it was one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you so much for making our trip so special! 🙏✨
