01/07/2026: Very attentive service and truly excellent food. We especially recommend the lobster linguini, truly delicious. Quality ingredients, well-prepared dishes, and a friendly, professional staff. A restaurant we recommend without hesitation!

27/06/2026: A truly disappointing experience. The staff is incredibly unfriendly. I ordered a grilled tuna steak with my friend, and by the time I went to the restroom, the plate had vanished. I still had more than half of it left. They didn't bring me another plate, or even return my original order. The service at the register is appalling; they just throw an inflated price at you without even giving you a receipt. Avoid this place, friends.

27/12/2025: Pleasant little lunch restaurant located in the historic part of Lecce. The food was ok (but nothing too fancy), but I am pleased to mention here the hospitality and excellent service of one of waitress (did not catch her name), she was adorable!

15/10/2025: Nice staff and service, but the food was a big disappointment. We sat inside next to the food prep area and were shocked to see that our pastas (both orichiette and lasagne) were pre-made and were microwaved for 6 minutes each before being served to us! Inexcusable in Italy, especially for the price. The pomodoro sauce was plain and acidic, and the orichiette was chewy (given it wasn’t fresh). Skip this for the much better options nearby.

11/07/2026: A wonderful experience. The people who work here are wonderful. Keep pursuing the beautiful (the wonderful farmhouse with its pool), the good (the kindness of the people who work here and the food prepared), and the right amount of an idea: authenticity and simplicity... no artifice.

24/06/2026: We went to dinner with the family and had a wonderful evening. I particularly appreciated the attention given to us by the owner, the head waiter Imma, and the chef.

15/06/2026: Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was incredibly delicious, with outstanding flavor and quality. Every dish was fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. The owners are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and friendly, creating a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend the avocado toast—it was absolutely amazing and one of the best I've had!

21/09/2025: We visited this pizzeria at the invitation of two friends, traveling over 120 km there and back, expecting a wonderful evening of karaoke and delicious pizza. Instead, we found ourselves with an experience we'd soon forget. As soon as we entered, we were overwhelmed by a deafening noise: the music was so loud we couldn't even exchange a few words with the person next to us—an uncontrolled, annoying, and poorly managed chaos that made any kind of conversation or relaxation impossible. When we ordered, half the pizzas on the menu were unavailable due to a lack of ingredients. No one had notified us, and we found ourselves having to change our orders on the spot. The pizzas then arrived incorrect, incomplete, or completely different from what we'd asked for, as if they'd been made randomly. And to make matters worse, when it came time to pay, the POS didn't work. No one had informed us upon arrival, and we found ourselves in a bind because no one at our table had cash. An unacceptable inconvenience, especially in 2025. A disaster from start to finish. The place was chaotic, the service disorganized, and there was a complete lack of respect for the customers. Not only will we not return, but we're also sorry we drove all that way for such a disappointing evening.

19/10/2025: A wonderful location surrounded by greenery, just a stone's throw from Gallipoli, a rustic establishment offering simple yet refined dishes. The quality of the food is excellent, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. The antipasto was rich and delicious, and the first courses were excellent. We opted for the meat course, which was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were very satisfied.

13/09/2025: We were thrilled with the cuisine, service, and location at Calamate. We stayed in Gallipoli for 12 days, and we ate there four times. It was undoubtedly the best dinners of the entire trip. The appetizer selection—the burratina, the homemade orecchiette, and the bombette (which we tried breaded and baked here)—were all exceptional, as were the grilled red tuna and the pasta with scampi. The ingredients are excellent, and the price, in my opinion, perfectly in line with what's on offer. If you're in Gallipoli, it's worth a visit!

02/07/2026: The food was delicious. We enjoyed pasta with ragu and ravioli with burato cheese. Put the parmagian cheese on the pasta. Without this cheese it is like a wedding without the kiss. I recommend eating in the square if weather permits.

25/07/2026: The staff was unfriendly and unprofessional, dishes were forgotten, the prices were overpriced for the food, and some of the dishes didn't taste good. The toast served with the carpaccio was completely burnt, and the pasta sauces were too creamy and greasy.

11/07/2026: A welcoming and well-kept restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Excellent food, especially the seafood specialties, both raw and cooked. The owner is extremely kind and attentive to his customers.

31/05/2026: For those who love good food, this is a retro venue with first-rate service, staffed by simple people, where the platter with schiacciata is accompanied by a good glass of wine and more, accompanying those who stop in a place where there is also the opportunity to take a dip in the adjacent marina stream.

03/05/2026: Another historic place that has remained in the same location for over 45 years, with more or less the same decor. Excellent schiacciata, cured meats, and cheeses. Simple first and second courses. An ideal place for a quality snack or lunch. Bar, tobacconist, and a small grocery store complete the picture. Convenient parking.

22/04/2026: A modern, family-run restaurant with a large garden where you can watch the trains from the nearby station pass by. They offer a wide selection of pizzas, pinsas, and first and second courses (both meat and seafood). I recommend the specialty pizzas named after train stations from all over Italy. Perfect for a quiet family evening. I really appreciate the paper menus, which have become a rarity these days.
