15/06/2026: The place is clean and well-kept, but small. The guy seemed annoyed that we were there, as if he were doing us a favor. The food was poor quality; we weren't asked anything, and he couldn't answer any questions about the ingredients. The place doesn't have a bathroom, and for a place with seating, that's unacceptable. I absolutely don't recommend it.
01/06/2026: The guys serving are kind and smiling. The place is small and a bit shabby. The food is good but could be better. The rice seemed a bit stale.

09/07/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time. The service was impeccable, with an incredibly kind waiter who was always smiling, attentive, and caring. This really made our meal even more enjoyable.
The food was delicious: we savored every bite, from start to finish, with flavorful and generous dishes. All this in the beautiful setting of a charming and welcoming square, which made the experience even more memorable.
A huge thank you to the entire team for the warm welcome. If you're ever in Lecce, I recommend this restaurant without hesitation!

04/07/2026: First time at Trattoria San Carlino, in the heart of the historic center. We tried the seafood menu, followed by desserts. I found all the dishes to be excellently prepared, with visibly fresh, high-quality ingredients. A truly pleasant experience. The owners and staff were extremely kind and courteous. If I ever return to Lecce, I'll definitely stop here again.
01/07/2026: The servers were very attentive (they even gave me a cushion because I'm short), friendly, and quick.
The vegetarian pizza was excellent, as was the rustic one.
The ice cream was creamy and the watermelon was perfectly sweet.
You can eat on the terrace or inside.
Reasonable prices.

27/12/2025: Pleasant little lunch restaurant located in the historic part of Lecce. The food was ok (but nothing too fancy), but I am pleased to mention here the hospitality and excellent service of one of waitress (did not catch her name), she was adorable!
15/10/2025: Nice staff and service, but the food was a big disappointment. We sat inside next to the food prep area and were shocked to see that our pastas (both orichiette and lasagne) were pre-made and were microwaved for 6 minutes each before being served to us! Inexcusable in Italy, especially for the price. The pomodoro sauce was plain and acidic, and the orichiette was chewy (given it wasn’t fresh). Skip this for the much better options nearby.

The owners are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and friendly, creating a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend the avocado toast—it was absolutely amazing and one of the best I've had!

19/10/2025: A wonderful location surrounded by greenery, just a stone's throw from Gallipoli, a rustic establishment offering simple yet refined dishes. The quality of the food is excellent, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. The antipasto was rich and delicious, and the first courses were excellent. We opted for the meat course, which was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were very satisfied.
13/09/2025: We were thrilled with the cuisine, service, and location at Calamate.
We stayed in Gallipoli for 12 days, and we ate there four times. It was undoubtedly the best dinners of the entire trip.
The appetizer selection—the burratina, the homemade orecchiette, and the bombette (which we tried breaded and baked here)—were all exceptional, as were the grilled red tuna and the pasta with scampi. The ingredients are excellent, and the price, in my opinion, perfectly in line with what's on offer.
If you're in Gallipoli, it's worth a visit!
