16/03/2026: Fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised. We tried four pizzas and they were all delicious. Honestly, with the quality and price of the food, I'm surprised anyone could leave a negative review. Fast service and everything was great. I'll be back.

17/12/2025: Deliberately left rustic and rustic, it's actually a quality restaurant. We were immediately offered toasted bread with delicious local olive oil, and the home-cooked dishes were equally delicious. Recommended.

31/10/2025: I've decided to give this pizzeria, located in the heart of Tricase on Via Roma, four stars because overall it was a good experience, with some very positive aspects and a few small details that could be improved. I'll start with the strong point: the location. It deserves five stars alone because it's truly excellent—it's right in the center of town, easy to reach, and perfect for an evening with friends or a stroll after dinner. The only downside is that parking is limited and not reserved, so you may have to wander around a bit to find a spot, especially on busy days. The location is modern and welcoming, tastefully furnished with attention to detail. However, the interior space is rather limited: the tables are very close together (in my case, I was about 80 cm from another table), which can take away some privacy and comfort. It's a shame, because the place has great potential and you can sense the care that went into it. As for the food, the pizzas were good, well-cooked, and made with quality ingredients. The only small inconvenience was a mistake in my order: I'd asked for a pizza with speck and scamorza, but it came with prosciutto and another cheese (which wasn't scamorza, though I don't remember exactly which). It wasn't a big deal—the pizza was still tasty—but with a little more attention, it would have been perfect. The service was kind and helpful, if a little unprepared at the time. They were just starting to use a new app to take orders, and the waitress had a few difficulties at first, but she worked hard, kept smiling, and apologized several times very politely. In the end, she managed to handle everything, and her commitment and goodwill were evident. One detail I appreciated was that, at the end of the meal, there were four desserts on the house. To be honest, they looked more like packaged donuts, but it was still a nice gesture on the part of the restaurant, and they definitely deserve thanks for their attentive service. In conclusion, it was a lovely evening, in a modern, well-kept restaurant with excellent pizza. There were a few small imperfections, but nothing that detracted from the experience. You could sense the desire to do well and improve.

06/12/2025: If you're looking for a clean place where you can enjoy something truly EXCELLENT, FRESH, from sweet to savory... well, you absolutely have to go to the bar outside the city! The staff are truly kind and welcoming... as soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a cheerful "GOOD MORNING" that's truly a pleasure. Everything you try is truly delicious, not to mention the various pastries. The place is SUPER CLEAN, you could even eat off the floor! Trust me, you won't regret it.

I understand that the day included a special event, but perhaps it would have been helpful to communicate this more clearly, so that we could have made an informed decision whether or not to participate. Regarding the service, unfortunately, our experience was different from what you described: we encountered a certain disorganization and a lack of attention to requests, which was a negative impact. The food was good, and I acknowledged that, but the overall quality of the experience unfortunately did not live up to expectations. In any case, I wish you and your staff the best of luck. 23/08/2025: We happened to be at this stretch of beach on a less than ideal swimming day and were hungry. The service was very friendly and helpful – they immediately addressed the children kindly and offered a highchair without hesitation. The food was excellent (fish, meat, pasta, salad). Due to the fresh ingredients, it was a bit pricey. Nevertheless, we highly recommend this restaurant!

03/09/2025: Delicious pizza: light, tasty, and well-topped. The pizza chef who bakes the pizzas in his traditional Ape car is incredibly friendly! We also tried the excellent fried pizza with delicious and delicious fillings and the brand new patatruk! Very fair prices and definitely lower than the average restaurant! We'll definitely be back! 19/10/2025: A wonderful location surrounded by greenery, just a stone's throw from Gallipoli, a rustic establishment offering simple yet refined dishes. The quality of the food is excellent, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. The antipasto was rich and delicious, and the first courses were excellent. We opted for the meat course, which was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were very satisfied.

13/09/2025: We were thrilled with the cuisine, service, and location at Calamate. We stayed in Gallipoli for 12 days, and we ate there four times. It was undoubtedly the best dinners of the entire trip. The appetizer selection—the burratina, the homemade orecchiette, and the bombette (which we tried breaded and baked here)—were all exceptional, as were the grilled red tuna and the pasta with scampi. The ingredients are excellent, and the price, in my opinion, perfectly in line with what's on offer. If you're in Gallipoli, it's worth a visit!
