From the very beginning, I appreciated his professionalism, integrity, commitment to quality, and passion for his work. Over the years, I've continued to appreciate the deliciousness and authenticity of his dishes. What can I say about Matambre? A welcoming place, extremely friendly service, and top-quality food. Congratulations, Francesco. I hope to return soon.

03/09/2025: I honestly don't understand the cold or negative reviews for this restaurant. Splendid location near the Castle in a historic and truly characteristic square. All the dishes were more than good. Portions were not excessive but honest. We really enjoyed it. THANK YOU. P.S.: with The Fork discount, it's a crime not to go!

29/08/2025: We ordered pasta with mussels and cherry tomatoes...the pasta wasn't fresh, the dish was completely unprepared, and the mussels were tiny!! We also ordered an octopus salad...tasteless! Lastly, a three-year-old girl was even charged for the service charge without having consumed anything! The location is beautiful. The waiter was very kind and polite, but the young woman, who barely spoke Italian, wasn't so much as asking for feedback when she picked up her plate. It seems like a commercial place that tries to repurpose traditional dishes without the necessary love and tradition. The prices are high. The menu doesn't list frozen ingredients...you have to ask to find out what's fresh and what's not.

19/12/2025: It took 40 min for a waiter to take our order, 1h 50 min for appetiser to arrive and 2h 20 min to get our pizzas...

19/12/2025: Absolutely outrageous, the waiting time was 2 full hours on a plain Friday evening. The didn't even take our order until we complained (first strike) then didn't bring our food until we complained the second time (second strike). Never ever again!!!

30/11/2025: I went there about 20 minutes ago with my partner to indulge our palates with some savory baked goods. Truly excellent products! We ordered two slices of Margherita pizza, some delicious potato panzerotti, and some wrapped sausages. Plus, two drinks, and the price is affordable for everyone. Truly special!! We loved it 😍

11/11/2025: A traditional, non-wood-fired oven, it offers takeout food, from bread and muffins to focaccia, pot pies, all kinds of friselle, and much more. The only thing that could be improved is the stuffed pulce, which are often too thin, like the whole-grain bread it contains, which, in my opinion, has a low percentage of grains compared to the wheat used.

09/09/2025: We wanted to try some truly authentic food, away from the tourist hotspots. Our expectations were far exceeded. Friendly staff, good and patient advice, and delicious pizzas. And of course, there are always some complainers. In any case, we enjoyed our meal and will be back.

07/09/2025: The restaurant and pizzeria is located in a charming little square in front of the 1595 Duomo. The manager and staff are very helpful and kind. The traditional first courses are very tasty and delicious. The quality and price are appreciated.

30/08/2025: A disastrous experience... We stopped to eat the local specialty (orecchiette con le cime di rapa) because the menu looked reasonable. A quick welcome, no smiles, served in barely 5 minutes, the quantity left something to be desired, the pasta was overcooked and covered in oil, and the waiter was not professional at all: he sighed and became annoyed when he realized we weren't going to order wine or dessert... We were ejected like dirt: no thank you or goodbye. Luckily for them, their restaurant is well located in the old town! We left disappointed and with the feeling of having been trapped in a tourist trap. Clearly a place to avoid if you want to discover authentic Puglian cuisine...

08/09/2025: We tried to order from this place twice, and both times they were out of stock. Only a few pieces of rotisserie, days old. The place is poorly maintained. The staff is disinterested and sloppy. A terrible experience.

18/08/2025: A small restaurant in the center of San Foca. You can order takeout or sit down, as we did. We had the Apulian bombette, with a side of fries and salad. The bombette were delicious, but it's a shame they didn't have much cheese inside. Their calzone is also very good, with a flavorful crust and a generous filling. Recommended!

I understand that the day included a special event, but perhaps it would have been helpful to communicate this more clearly, so that we could have made an informed decision whether or not to participate. Regarding the service, unfortunately, our experience was different from what you described: we encountered a certain disorganization and a lack of attention to requests, which was a negative impact. The food was good, and I acknowledged that, but the overall quality of the experience unfortunately did not live up to expectations. In any case, I wish you and your staff the best of luck. 23/08/2025: We happened to be at this stretch of beach in not-so-great swimming weather, and we were hungry. The staff was very friendly and helpful – they immediately spoke to the children in a friendly manner and even offered a high chair. The food was excellent (fish, meat, pasta, salad). The prices were a bit high due to the fresh ingredients. Nevertheless, the restaurant is highly recommended!

18/10/2025: Our pizzas were delicious and very juicy. Perfect mix of to tomato and cheese. Price was super fair around or even less than 10€ per pizza.

31/10/2025: We stopped by Sascianne for its reopening. We were welcomed by Giovanna and Claudio, two hosts worthy of the name. We ordered an appetizer and ravioli. We'd already won us over with the appetizer, but the lobster ravioli in shrimp ragù absolutely blew us away. Everything was exquisite and carefully prepared, but above all, light and flavorful. We finished with a Nutella panna cotta. In short, we'll definitely be returning to this little restaurant in a truly unique location.

06/10/2025: Terrible restaurant!!! We ordered a seafood appetizer with six courses, and after a bit of a wait, one course arrived every 10-15 minutes. Over the course of over an hour, we received five courses, only two of which matched the ones listed on the menu. We ordered white pasta for the kids, and they brought us half-cooked orecchiette.
