20/09/2024: Tomamos un bocadillo de helado y un sándwich Caprese. Aunque el queso burrata era bueno, los tomates eran insípidos y el pan rancio. Para colmo, el restaurante cargó a mi tarjeta de crédito 71 euros por el helado y el bocadillo a pesar de que la factura que firmé era por 17 euros.

22/07/2024: This hotel is an understated, authentic and rustic gem. Its setting is spectacular and its amenities are excellent (pool, access to ocean and grottoes, tennis court etc). It is within walking distance to the charming Old Town of Castro and the stunning Marina is close by as are other interesting landmarks/towns. The staff, competently lead by Alexandra, are responsive and proactive in relation to any issues. Their recommendations for restaurants and day trips are outstanding ensuring an authentic and local experience. My only concern is for people with mobility issues as the hotel is set on a steep site with many stairs. Overall, a wonderful experience - and good value too!

04/01/2025: Attratto dalla vista mare e dal menu ci siamo seduti. Non mi era mai successo di non mangiare nulla al ristorante. tris di antipasti: il tonno era stato scottato secoli prima quindi è arrivata una tagliata semi cruda e gelata..durissima ovviamente ( la mia arte è andata al mio cane), crostini con gamberi zucchine e zafferano fatti con i mini gamberetti del supermercato. Ravioli di cernia ( non buoni alla base) che dovevano essere conditi con un pesto di pomodorini, rucola e granella di nocciole e invece c'era una salsa acidissima con sapore indefinibile. Servizio cortese, ma frettoloso. Non avendo mangiato nulla hanno avuto la gentilezza di non farci pagare i due calici di vino...magra consolazione. Peccato perché il locale e la posizione andrebbero onorati con una buona cucina

21/10/2024: We had lunch here. The food was ok but not great, portions were rather small. Service was good. The restaurant is located directly on the harbor bay, and of course you also pay for the view.

28/08/2024: I have to come back here after the piqued response from the property. Dear lady, I was born in Galatina and my family is from Sannicola, places like yours, with your 10 years of experience, I have been frequenting them for 44 years and I understand very well when a "durum wheat" bread is stale and when the service is terrible. Having said that, I'm sorry for being 50 cents wrong on the cover charge, €2 seems like madness to me for plastic cups and paper napkins. That said, her response in no way justifies having forgotten the order of a table, the lack of communication and the antipathy shown inside. We would have liked to eat in this place but it was impossible since almost an hour after ordering, when we went in to ask how we were doing, they didn't even know what we had ordered. We were the only table, 2 adults and a 7 year old child, but the owners preferred to carry on with the takeaways, which continued to arrive, clearly without the slightest communication. When we decided to leave, very calmly pointing out that at least they could say that there would be a long (very long) wait, the owner seemed rather arrogant and, and a gentleman from the kitchen staff even tried to raise his voice making excuses meaningless. Let's forget about the waiter: when we sat down he looked at us and left... we had to immediately understand what was going on. I am from Salento, I live in the north but I come back every year... I am ashamed for the possible tourists who have stumbled upon this "exercise". P.s. reading the reviews on the quality of the dishes I would say that it went well. 2 beers and 1 water €9. cover charge (2.5€ per person for old bread and paper napkins!!!!!) fortunately offered.

14/12/2024: Packed place. Average wait. Unfortunately the inside was full and we had to sit crowded together outside...SM in December. To order, we had to ask several times. Incredibly slow! The pizza and the second courses arrive almost half an hour apart. Mediocre and salty pizza. Good seconds but nothing special. Exaggerated prices, e.g. Milanese cutlet €16! As soon as you finish they immediately clear the table without giving you time to order dessert. Lack of communication between them since one assigns you the table, one clears the table, one takes the orders and one gives/brings you the bill. SN a little messed up in this whole service. One flaw: patrons consuming outside feel so entitled to smoke and you breathe in their cigarettes while eating. The patrons and managers who do not intervene despite our complaints are uneducated. Being outside in a place where you are crowded doesn't allow you to smoke... you move away from the tables. Bad thing!

16/11/2024: I gave one star because you couldn't give less, and they should also thank me. This evening we called at 7.50pm to book a table for 8.00pm, an employee replied stating that there are no active reservations and that he would not be able to give us information regarding the availability of tables if we had not gone in person to complain the table immediately. Even though we were ready to set off and arrive at the restaurant within 10 minutes, we wanted to check the availability of tables so as not to leave the house in vain. The employee, with a lot of arrogance and authority (a term intended with a negative connotation), complicates a situation that is actually very simple, since the only information we wanted to receive was the actual availability of the tables. We had been there before and had a very good time, which is why we would have liked to go back today. It's a shame for an approach with a lack of friendliness towards customers, even without a response a "good evening" from us is always wished.

02/12/2024: Coffee for €1.30 not even in Piazza Sant'Oronzo in Lecce. As good as the price is, it is absolutely not justified.

20/12/2024: Amazing place, really good food. I had two buffets in a month and in both cases everything was delicious. Super fast and efficient. Highly recommended!!!

13/10/2024: Piper is not a bar, it's a family. It often hosts DJ sets curated by the best Salento DJs, its cocktails are exceptional. I challenge you to find a better Long Island than theirs.

18/10/2024: Only 2 of the starters were available. The food was subpar. Frozen goods, but the portions were large. Service bored without motivation. And if it was the last restaurant, I wouldn't go!!!

15/10/2024: Service somewhat slow. Food below expectations. Menu completely to be revised You enter from a pizzeria-like entrance and you arrive in a sort of back room 20 euros a plate with 10 defrosted calamari is a slap in the face to the kitchen

24/08/2024: Found by chance, a place with an outdoor area. In the summer they don't have a pizzeria.. Very good local appetizer.. Gnocchi with shrimp, cheese and pepper too salty for me.. Good carbonara. Very kind waitress..

20/10/2024: Bellissimo posto, ottima atmosfera e ottimo servizio. Cibo molto buono, anche cucina tipica, bella presentazione. Non metto 5 stelle perché 8€ per un dolce mi sembrano un po'troppi, ma nel complesso posto consigliato!

19/09/2024: Locale carino in un contesto antico con l’arredamento adatto alla location , personale gentile e preparato. Cena buona, piatti presentati in maniera eccellente fatti con prodotti di qualità , unica nota un po’ sapidi per i miei gusti. Il secondo di carne un po’ misero, ma alla fine i dolci hanno confermato che la scelta del ristorante è stata azzeccata , consiglio la millefoglie,da provare assolutamente . Abbiamo pagato circa 45 euro a persona mi sarei aspetto qualcosina di meno, ma sicuramente ci ritornerò. Ottimo lavoro ragazzi 🤩
