Personally, I have a weakness for the fried foods, and especially the fried mozzarella: simply extraordinary, one of those things you always order and that never disappoints. The atmosphere is exactly what it should be: rustic, authentic, no-frills. And that's precisely its strength. In a world full of contrived and "perfect" places, La Perla remains authentic. You feel at home, meet friends, and experience a family atmosphere that's increasingly rare these days. It's the classic Sunday spot in Lecce, where you know you'll have a great time, where time seems to slow down and everything is simple and authentic. The service is fast, informal, yet always friendly, helping to maintain that perfect balance between tradition and hospitality. 07/05/2026: Simply cozy! Uncomplicated service, interesting interior, delicious pastries, and reasonable prices.

06/04/2026: We waited 30 minutes without being served, even though table service is supposed to be good (I asked). What's more, the servers forget the table order and serve just anyone. Absolutely terrible.

06/05/2026: Highly recommend! So impressed tasty food great service. We ordered the special of the day pasta with cubed fresh monkfish cooked in a flavorful light yellow tomato sauce which compliments it perfectly, hubby had the perfectly grilled octopus in a broad bean purée & chicory.

18/08/2025: It was 6:00 on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted an aperitif. Maybe it was too early or too late, but the fact is that there were no appetizers. They brought us a small plate with six meatballs and a rustica sliced into quarters... too little for a proper aperitif, so I insisted on something else. But what if there was nothing in the display case? So a tall rustico and a roll were all this bar had to offer. On the other hand, the rustici were good.

02/05/2026: We went in to make a reservation, they told us there was no room, then they told us to wait because there was a table at the Amari. We said we were outside in the park, and every now and then we went to check on the table, and they still told us to wait. After more than half an hour, we went in and found it free. They told us that the table we had reserved belonged to another group of 8. Moral of the story, they rudely kicked us out with 6 hungry children, when they could have warned us at the beginning that there was no option for dinner there. There is no organization, much less communication between colleagues. A shame because the location is gorgeous, but the staff is rude. A total disappointment because let's remember that attentive staff, among many other things, is the key to a good restaurant. We were truly disappointed, especially for the children.

11/04/2026: Professionalism and precision. At Dolc'è, the pastries, leavened products, and pasticciotti are all exquisite. I ordered a pastiera and it was superb! Finally, made according to the authentic Neapolitan recipe with cooked wheat and just the right amount of candied fruit and herbs. Everyone loved it, satisfying different palates. I recommend everyone seek out this pastry shop, even just for a coffee. The careful selection of ingredients and the overall quality are decidedly higher than those of more well-known restaurant names.

02/05/2026: Terrible experience. The staff is rude, uninterested, and responds with condescending and superficial responses. I do not recommend. Absolutely avoid. Reading other reviews, it's evidently a common behavior.

30/04/2026: Dinner for a communion. They seated 50 people in the internal dining room, saying the veranda was occupied, but instead 90% of the veranda was free. They didn't serve a welcome drink. And be careful, if you ask for a quote, ask for the cake toast.

29/09/2025: We dropped in for takeaway pizzas but ended up enjoying the pizzas fresh out of the oven in the garden out front. Nice fresh ingredients on a thin crust perfectly cooked in the wood firef oven. Well priced.

20/10/2025: This small pastry shop in Gallipoli's historic center deserves a special mention for its excellent products at extremely competitive prices. You'll find both traditional products and standard pastries; we tried the pasticciotti and found them delicious!
