23/03/2026: Lecce's historic bar offers a wide variety of fresh sweet and savory treats, open all day. The pasticciotti are especially worth trying; they come in many varieties. The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous.

17/03/2026: The rustici are awful. I stopped in this morning craving a rustico and expecting a good portion, but instead, I was completely disappointed. Inside, a medallion of just mozzarella and a little tomato, each bite a chunk of soft rubber. But I say, béchamel sauce, they don't use it anymore!

12/05/2026: I've been meaning to write a few lines about Facula for a while, and finally I do. Besides being a first-rate rotisserie, they serve truly excellent Roman pinsa and calzones, which are hard to find this good in the area. But it's when you sit down and order pizza that the quality really rises. The pizzas (customizable) are fragrant, with a light, well-leavened, and well-cooked dough. It stays crispy without being dry, the crust is airy and fragrant, and you can tell they take great care in cooking and use a quality oven. Those working behind the scenes make the difference—well done! The toppings are top-notch and well-balanced, with fresh ingredients, well-made fior di latte mozzarella, and a perfect balance of flavors. Nothing overdone, plenty of substance. Both the classic and more elaborate options are tasty and carefully prepared. The atmosphere is familiar and relaxed, even though it's located on Corso Roma. Inside, there's a relaxed atmosphere, with courteous, efficient, and unhurried service—just how I like it. In short, a reliable, centrally located establishment with excellent value. No frills or over-the-top pretensions, just substance and well-made products. It's become a regular stop for me every time I'm in Gallipoli. If you're passing through, I highly recommend it; you'll leave happy.

25/08/2025: The place is run by rude people, especially Olimpia, who disregard public order rules. The place is located in a residential area, surrounded by private homes. The music (the place is open late, so we're talking about disturbances after 10 PM, sometimes until 1 AM) is often too loud, sometimes incredibly loud and unbearable. A few weeks ago, I alerted the police, after several attempts over the years to politely ask them to turn the volume down. And I will do so again, if necessary. This place is unbearable!
