12/10/2025: We wanted to try the pizza, especially the gluten-free version, which is hard to find with a homemade crust. We were completely satisfied with the gluten-free and traditional dough. The place is small, yet cozy, with only a few seats. There's no table service; everything is picked up at the counter. The menu lists a huge number of possible pizzas, perhaps around forty.

22/08/2025: A late stop on our return trip. As a family with two children, we received a very warm welcome, and the pizzas were delicious and the sandwiches generous. A great place.

15/11/2025: I ordered a pizza without mozzarella due to my lactose intolerance, but was served a pizza with mozzarella anyway, justifying the mistake by saying that, in their opinion, a pizza with only two ingredients "wouldn't turn out well." Despite my specific request for health reasons, the staff—particularly a waitress named Erika—arrogantly insisted, trying to explain to me how the pizza "should be made," instead of apologizing for the mistake. Furthermore, the fries were reheated, and the overall service was poor, with zero courtesy: no one even said a simple "sorry," and no discount was offered for the poor service. I would, however, like to highlight the courtesy of a curly-haired waiter who worked at the bar but went out of his way to accommodate our request, and of the curly-haired waitress with glasses who took our first order anyway. Conclusion: I highly recommend this place.

27/09/2025: Bad experience, poor cleanliness, and very rude. The disturbing thing is that they flag negative reviews on TripAdvisor and have them removed, which is why they only have positive reviews. Avoid them.

08/09/2025: SUPER FRESH seafood. We bought prawns and langoustines to cook at home, the whole house smelled amazing while we were cooking and the taste is to die for. It was our last night at Lecce, or else I would’ve gotten more seafood from here. The owner is also very kind. I forgot my phone and he took out his phone to Google translate our conversation. Highly recommend!’

24/08/2025: We had planned to have lunch there, admittedly not nearby and a bit of a walk, but we turned around, went into the fish market, and a strong smell of moderately fresh fish hit us. We didn't delve into the experience any further. Maybe it was a bad day, the reviews beforehand were pretty good.

01/02/2026: The fall of a legend. Saturday night dinner, we ordered a cuoppo and two pizzas. Let's start with the cuoppo, which had frozen mozzarella balls, some of which were empty, and the eggplant meatballs tasted only of garlic. But the real shock was the pizza... Rubbery, heavy, and hard to digest, the complete opposite of what authentic Checco Pizza used to be. I'd give it 3 stars, but I'll give it 2 because of the huge disappointment.

27/10/2025: A small village restaurant, we arrived there completely by chance and it was a very pleasant surprise. We ate a homemade burger made with pizza dough; it was really generous and original. The staff is really friendly; they made the effort to speak a little French.

15/10/2025: After a week in Puglia, this was by far my least favourite meal. I had a pizza which was too salty and generally not very tasty. If you’re looking for pizza in the village then Da Uccio is far superior.

26/01/2026: Nice but basic place. The place has a sea view, but the outdoor building, where some tables are located, isn't a restaurant. The food is just about adequate. The appetizers are a bit too modernized with yogurt sauce and mayonnaise (and we don't know the customers' personal tastes), various jams, etc., which alter the true flavor of the fish. The positive aspect is the fish, which is good! The first course left a little to be desired: not enough salt, and the pasta was undercooked. The portion of fries was small and lacking in salt. The classic pittule were undercooked. The dessert, however, was good. Overall, it's adequate, but the prices should be in line with what you get. In any case, beautiful view and friendly staff. The dishes need revisiting.

23/01/2026: The scent of the sea can be felt in every delicious dish. The staff is friendly and welcoming. After dinner, we strolled along the nearby cliffs to experience the magic of the Gallipoli coast.
