23/08/2025: Yesterday, my husband and I went for a snack at this restaurant. We sat outside in a charming little square located within the walls of Akaja Castle. We enjoyed a platter of various cheeses and cured meats, along with bruschetta. The food was very good, thanks to the quality of the ingredients. We also enjoyed the service, as Rossella was very professional and kind. We'll be back again this evening.

05/08/2025: Not knowing where to go to eat, I came across this place that made panzerotti and I have to say they were really delicious! 😃 and once the one I had chosen was ready, a little angel who was working there brought it to me! 😀💛❤️

04/08/2025: The panzerotto was a disappointment; it wasn't very filling, and the dough wasn't great either. The service was very slow, even though there weren't many people. The girl taking orders wasn't particularly friendly.

19/05/2025: Very interesting experience. Place discovered by chance on Google Maps. Delicious food, we tried the BBQ wings and the Big Burger and Chicken Burger sandwiches. The medium-rare Angus beef melted in your mouth. Beautiful reality and young, Good guys

28/07/2025: Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The spaghetti with mussels was very salty and lacked any real seafood flavor; the spaghetti with clams was similarly salty and tasteless. The seafood salad tasted only of celery, with no balance in the flavors. The only decent dish was perhaps the cutlet, but it came with limp, anemic fries. Prices were normal, but definitely too high for the quality and flavor. The restaurant was basic, with chipped plates, as pictured. We won't be returning.

08/08/2025: We are French and demanding in terms of cuisine and service. We ordered tasting menus. This restaurant is a little gem for discovering local cuisine and regional products. Prepared with love and expertise, even if you are a connoisseur of local Italian cuisine, the dishes will surprise you and take you on a journey through Puglia. The maître d' will guide you, if you ask, to discover the best wines to pair with your dishes. The value for money is simply breathtaking! Congratulations to the team. Long live this beautiful establishment!

03/08/2025: The food is very good but the rest is average.

05/08/2025: Recommended by our hotel (which was amazing) But sadly food service and atmosphere were a let down. We had the 5 sapori starter - which was 7/10. Local flavours nicely prepared. Mains had Ciceri e tria and the millefoglie of Seabass. The sea bass was overcooked and ciceri was ok but overcooked. The worst bit was the wine. We ordered a reasonably expensive bottle, they arrived with a different bottle (retails at 50% of what we ordered) and they charged us the same. It felt a bit like a tourist trap and somewhat dishonest. Came away feeling like we had overpaid for a pretty mediocre meal.

29/07/2025: A disastrous experience from start to finish. Soulless cuisine, contemptuous service, and zero attention to the customer. You have to wonder if they’ve ever actually tasted the food they serve. The risotto was dumped onto the plate like in a cheap cafeteria. The fish? Boiled, flavorless, most likely reheated, and I seriously doubt it was fresh. And to top it all off: unpleasant, borderline rude staff who make no effort to understand the order. This restaurant is a disgrace — a perfect example of what hospitality should never be.

17/08/2025: Despite arriving very late and without a reservation (four people), we were greeted with kindness and courtesy. The place has an old-world feel, but it's a charming room with a magnificent tuff vault. Excellent food, the lavane ncannulate with ricotta forte were extraordinary. Excellent service. The quality/price ratio was very fair. The owner? Very friendly.

12/08/2025: We had dinner with starters, main courses, and side dishes. The food was very good, made with quality ingredients and cooked well. The service was a bit confusing; the grilled items arrived in installments. Pay attention to your receipt because, unhappily, we paid for a sagne con sugo as if it were the meatball version, so always check. Still, worth a try. Prices are average, and the staff are friendly.

12/08/2025: We ordered two pasta dishes but were told the pasta was out of stock. We ordered two portions of meatballs but were told only one was available. We ordered a portion of fried calamari and shrimp to share. Two dessert plates arrived with only calamari and we were told the shrimp were out of stock. I wouldn't recommend it.

10/08/2025: Sant’Antonio offers one of the best pizza experiences in Castro. The crust was perfectly baked, with a balance between crispy and soft, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, making it ideal for both small groups and families. Service was fast and friendly, and our order arrived in minutes. 💡 Tip: Try their signature margherita with buffalo mozzarella – it’s unforgettable.

20/07/2025: Il locale è suggestivo ma poco curato. Bagni non adeguati. Servizio, mi dispiace, educato ma molto molto disattento. Menù confusionario, in parte integrato da piatti del giorno spiegati poco. Ricarichi del vino molto onesti. Prezzi nella norma. Preparazione, purtroppo devo dirlo, non buona. Materie prime prevalentemente buone e fresche. Ho trovato una situazione un po’ decadente, ecco.

29/07/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance and were truly delighted with everything. The atmosphere is American-style, with an indoor playroom, a dining room, and a very pleasant outdoor terrace. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and they even brought us a water bowl for our dog. Both the appetizers and sandwiches were excellent, but our favorite was the cheesecake topping, truly American-style. We'll definitely be back.

28/07/2025: I feel robbed. An aperitif for three, two teas, and a small bottle of water cost €30. If I had eaten at the Pope's house, I would have spent less.

16/07/2025: Great spot for coffee, croissants and other food items like sandwiches and more. Coffee was great and service was on point. Also lots of outdoor seating and some indoor with AC.

09/07/2025: The best bar in all of Puglia. The owners are friendly and professional. Everything is great and fresh but it is the people who make this place so special. I am a tourist and everyone treated us like locals. More places like this. The best coffee, drinks and snacks. Luigi and Antonio are masters of their craft.
