I'd be curious to know if the people who left positive comments actually came here.
An experience I would never repeat:
The hygiene was terrible; I've never seen such a dirty place, especially considering the (horrible) open kitchen.
Flies on the meat counter, live cockroaches under the tables, the refrigerator where the meat is displayed was filthy with caked blood.
The quality of the meat was terrible; it had a nauseating odor, and it was so soaked in wine that it stank.
I don't expect you to justify the poor hygiene; I don't think it's just a day's worth of dirt.
And to top it off, we paid a lot for the poor quality of the food.
I don't recommend it!!
08/08/2026: A truly awful and completely disappointing experience. During dinner, we found a live cockroach under our table and were forced to kill it ourselves. This is unacceptable for any restaurant serving food.
The environment also didn't seem clean or well-maintained, and even more worryingly, the refrigerator where the meat is displayed was dirty and unsanitary.
The experience was further worsened by the meat: it was of truly poor quality, tough, and practically inedible. Considering the high price, we expected much better quality.
The quality-price ratio was terrible. Unfortunately, it was a negative experience in several respects, and we absolutely cannot recommend this place.

06/08/2026: We had a very good first course, but the pasta was superb. The best of our stay in Puglia, compliments to the chef!

Personally, I found an excellent chicken, well-spiced (but not overpowering), well-fried fries, generous and not at all heavy, and a very pleasant lager beer on tap.
What more could you ask for after a long day at work?
PS...given the beautiful and comprehensive menu, if I had one, I'd go back with the whole family.
30/05/2026: The chicken was very good. With plenty of fries and sauce. Belgian beer on tap too. Great prices. Try it! You won't regret it!

27/12/2025: The burgers and meat are of the highest quality, truly excellent: perfectly cooked, intense flavors, and top-quality ingredients.
But the most striking thing is that you wouldn't expect such a beautiful place: meticulous attention to detail, welcoming, and with a truly pleasant atmosphere.
The owners are incredibly kind, helpful, and make you feel right at home, something rare these days.
A place where you eat well, feel good, and want to return.

13/07/2026: Superb place in the historic center of Martano, a Salento village just a stone's throw from Otranto, a must-see. The place is the sacristy of a small adjacent church. The choice of name alone is worthy of applause.
The staff is friendly and generous with recommendations. Excellent products. A wide selection of both food and drinks. Both the pinzas and bruschetta are special. I recommend it 100%. We'll be back. Congratulations.

11/07/2026: Even though I now live in Manchester, Casale Monferrato is my old city, and I can confidently say this is the absolute best bar in town!
The quality of the wine is top-notch, and when it comes to the price-to-quality ratio, there is simply no better place to be.
The owner and the staff are some of the friendliest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet. Plus, their aperitivo is unmatched; they keep bringing out delicious, typical Italian food, from pizza and cotoletta alla Milanese to incredible focaccia (including the one with stracchino). A must-visit every single time I'm back!

12/07/2026: The menu is practically endless, offering just about everything, plus the level of customization on the sandwiches is incredible, and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. The draft beers are exceptional, and the selection of craft bottled beers is quite varied, including some unique brands.
Manuel welcomes you like family—a truly spectacular person, just like everything else Qualo has to offer!
