11/08/2026: We were here for a wedding. The location is simply enchanting and the food excellent. The wedding planning was a bit lacking: we were outside (in 38 degrees Celsius and during the hottest part of the day) for the ceremony, welcome drink, and appetizers. Even inside, the air conditioning was too low and we were gasping for air.

09/08/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! The restaurant is magnificent, with an elegant and very pleasant atmosphere. The staff is lovely, generous, smiling, and incredibly attentive. You immediately feel welcome, and the experience is as enjoyable as the setting. 22/12/2025: A very beautiful and characteristic historic location—a castle, in short—located in a rural and remote area, not easy to reach via winding, unlit provincial roads. It's in the Salice Salentino countryside, bordering the province of Brindisi, surrounded by vast, diversely cultivated rural land. I was there only because I was invited to a wedding reception with about 200 guests. Unfortunately, the venue suffers from the unique infrastructure of a castle, so the large number of guests didn't allow for optimal management, in my opinion, and I wasn't satisfied. The central space for dancing was also insufficient. The food served was excellent, as was the overall service provided by the staff. Aside from the initial buffet of meat and seafood appetizers, I didn't appreciate the fact that for the final buffet of fruit, desserts, and cake, the guests had to leave their tables at 9 pm, grab their coats, and stay outside in the garden to catch the cold for the cake cutting, before moving on to other areas. This was my only experience at this venue.

15/12/2025: Speechless, the energy this place exudes is magical, enchanting, and meticulously cared for down to the smallest details. The welcome makes you feel special, and the cuisine is gastronomically satisfying. I hope to return. The driveway leading to the castle alone is breathtaking, with hectares of vineyards.

06/08/2026: It's now a regular spot for breakfast, and I don't eat breakfast at the bar all year round, but here in Follonica we always enjoy it because of the delicious food and the quality of the service... I feel at home there every day of the year, even out of season.

06/08/2026: Exceptional coffee shop! The staff is truly friendly, always smiling and welcoming. I had excellent coffee for breakfast and even took home a delicious apricot jam pastry for my boyfriend. The atmosphere is pleasant, and you can sense the care they take towards their customers. Plus, it's always packed with people stopping by for aperitivo in the evenings: a great sign that it's definitely worth a visit!

05/04/2026: Bar Caprice was like an oasis in the desert for us as we walked towards Baia dei Turchi in Otranto: hot, thirsty, and exhausted. Delicious pastries, excellent coffee, cold water, and air conditioning—everything was perfect! The blonde barista is an angel. You can also top up your Vodafone SIM card. Best wishes 😁

08/04/2026: During a quiet moment, we ordered a beer on the terrace. The waiter took the order, then a second waiter returned with a blunt question: 'What do you want? This is a restaurant. You can have a beer, but you pay for service'... those service charges ended up being 17 euros!!! I advise others to look for a restaurant where they are actually hospitable. There are plenty in Lecce, but not this one.

08/07/2026: We returned to Puglia after 6/7 years, even if we changed area we wanted to return to this restaurant and I must say that it did not disappoint us this time either, fresh and good fish, if we return to Puglia we will definitely stop at Scaccia pensieri

08/06/2026: I celebrated my graduation at Scacciapensieri (since I lived in Lecce and Monteroni is very close by and parking is easier). The service was impeccable...for about twenty guests, it was commendable. Their thin-crust pizzas and various appetizers were excellent...Great value. Try it and you'll be back.

The maître d', who knows how to welcome guests in the right way and helps them choose a dish, making variations to satisfy the customer, was truly appreciated. Good food, lovely relaxing evening. 16/08/2026: We tried this restaurant based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately there were some flaws. The dishes were some good, others decidedly not... one in particular was the fried food, which was too oily and not at all crispy. The first courses were decent, and the appetizers were really good. The service was a bit confusing. The atmosphere was exceptional, especially on the terrace... this place deserves a revisit.

25/08/2025: I'd like to sincerely thank the owners and all the staff at Agriturismo Santa Chiara. They were always kind and helpful, ready to help us or check in. They offered us a beautiful room overlooking the pool. The included breakfast was delicious, with a nice mix of sweet and savory. Sometimes the lady cooks for guests, and I must say she's truly excellent. I absolutely recommend staying there for dinner, as it was a delicious and warm experience. The agriturismo is large and welcoming, perfect for taking photos or reading a book while relaxing in the sun by the pool. I found a bit of my hometown in them, as they are family-like, kind, and welcoming—just what I was looking for in southern Italy. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place.
