13/06/2025: Restaurant: Dal Ponte – Villanova Canavese An evening that tastes of the sea, in the silent heart of the Canavese Valleys. The restaurant is small, but welcoming like a house of happy memories. Tablecloths that remind us of the sea, waves drawn with grace, and an atmosphere that whispers “slow down, here you can savor”. Our journey begins with a Plateau Royal: a triumph of the sea in celebration, fleshy oysters that taste of wind and depth, sea lemons as bright as rare pearls, scallops that melt like whispers, red shrimp with an intense and proud flavor, salmon and tuna tartare, raw delicacies that caress the palate like liquid poetry. Then, like an unexpected twist, the prawns with gorgonzola arrive – a bold, creamy, inebriating harmony: an embrace between sea and land, that remains in the memory like a well-written song. The heart of the dinner is a sea bass with a sincere flavor, cooked to perfection, soft and fragrant, placed on a crunchy potato crust, which envelops the dish in a warm caress. And finally, the dessert: a chocolate sphere that opens like a secret, revealing softness and intensity, and a Salento cream pasticciotto – not too sweet, just the right amount: an authentic cuddle, between tradition and lightness. To accompany it all, a bottle recommended by the splendid Mrs. Miriam: a Sicilian Kikè, fragrant, enveloping, that danced with the dishes as if it already knew everything. High quality, more than honest price - a rare combination, that makes the heart smile. The staff is kind, authentic, present. And Mrs. Miriam, with grace and intelligence, was a precious compass among the flavors. And then there is Mr. Pino - chef, owner, discreet and true soul of this place. His cuisine speaks for itself: it tells of attention, experience, respect for the raw material and a sincere desire to make those who sit at the table feel good. In short, a beautiful discovery. A place from which you leave full... also of beauty. We will return. With pleasure, and with appetite.

12/07/2025: Just seeing the owner would be enough to understand that this is a place you should never go to... what's more, the food is bad and little, and the prices are disproportionate (the Fork discount is useless since they give you another menu). A place that I hope closes and reopens under different management given the location.

08/06/2025: I'll start by saying that I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I think it's right to share our experience. We found ourselves having dinner at this place by chance, as tourists. The place is nice, the atmosphere is welcoming and well-kept. The quality of the food is undoubtedly excellent: the hamburgers are made with particular and refined ingredients, and the price for these dishes seemed fair to me. The drinks are a different story (even if it's written on the menu): in particular, paying €12 for a commercial 50cl bottle of beer (Ayinger Weissein) seemed frankly excessive to me. I come from Modena, which is certainly not a cheap city, but I had never had a beer at that price! The real sore point, however, was the lack of clarity on the part of the staff, especially regarding the fact that all the hamburgers were spicy! This information wasn't reported on the menu, and in my opinion it's a fundamental detail to communicate, because many people don't like spicy food or can even have more or less annoying stomach reactions! Even though we absolutely did not like spicy food, we still decided to eat the hamburgers, but it was disappointing to discover this characteristic from the first bite. Another negative aspect was the behavior of the owner. When we asked to make a slight change in the composition of the hamburger for two 10-year-old children (who obviously do not like spicy food and other particular ingredients), we were answered in a dry and decisive way: "no, the hamburgers cannot be modified", without any concrete explanations as to why. No willingness to find a solution other than ordering appetizers, no flexibility. An attitude that, in my opinion, is absolutely not correct and adequate towards customers, especially in a medium-high range restaurant. When we pointed out, always politely, our disappointment, the owner, in difficulty, let slip that "maybe it's not a place for children". However, she had us sit with two children in tow anyway. Overall, a dinner with lights and shadows: excellent food, but service and attention to the customer need to be reviewed. P.S. his response confirms my review and his presumption and rudeness.

08/06/2025: They took me there. The food is quality. The rest is not worth it. When will it stop torpedoing the people of Turin. Maybe it will come back down to earth. As for culinary experiences, I go to other starred restaurants. I don't go to Balik. €28 per person for 3 pan pizzas (because that's what they are) 2 bottles of water and one of wine. I think it will be short-lived.

09/06/2025: This was the best pasta I have had in my entire life. We have been searching for something authentic and not touristy in Turin and this has been by far the best find. We let the gentleman choose the typical pasta to try and were not disappointed. Highly highly recommend!

07/06/2025: One of those places that should exist in every city! A place for tourists?! No, exactly the opposite! Local food by local people :). All excellent quality chosen directly at the counter, fast and courteous service.

01/05/2025: While looking for a place for an aperitif, this sign popped up almost by chance. A fortuitous and fortunate case, given the quality of the products served and the courtesy of the managers. The owner's passion is reflected both in the selection of wines and in the platter of cured meats and cheeses as an accompaniment. If we end up in Turin again, we already know where to return!

24/05/2025: Attracted by the reviews, we called and asked if they had 2 places. When they confirmed, we said that we would be there in half an hour and that we had a wonderbox. The girl on the phone asked us for the code and we left. Two minutes later she called us back saying that her colleague had told her that you couldn't book the wonderbox on the same day you used it and to call back next Saturday. Strange..... in the reviews I had just read about others who showed up there directly with the wonderbox and were accepted. Too bad, obviously for them... not for us... now we are in another place where they didn't make a fuss and.... We are eating very well
