25/07/2025: Durante la cata de vinos nos detuvimos en este ristorante en Barbaresco para almorzar. IT es un hermoso restaurante con una gran vista del campo. Hay una terraza para comer cuando hace buen tiempo. El servicio fue genial. La comida era buena y a precios razonables.

24/08/2025: On Wednesday I showed up and ordered five ice creams, two sandwiches, and still water, all to go. The ice creams were made before the sandwiches, so they melted. The girl suggested I put them in the fridge (she should have remade them because the mistake was hers). Then the sandwiches were forgotten, and still water was forgotten. Embarrassing, especially since it wasn't the rush period. They should work seriously. I understand an oversight, but forgetting half an order seems excessive to me.

18/08/2025: It was hot, 35°C outside and 33°C inside. The wine served was chilled from the fridge, but don't the bottles on display suffer? We had to pick up the appetizers, including the cold cuts, by hand. It's not an oversight; it happened to other customers too.

28/06/2025: Enttäuschendes Erlebnis im Ca’del Re – nie wieder! Unser Besuch im Ca’del Re war leider ein Reinfall auf ganzer Linie. Trotz vorheriger Reservierung wurde uns der gewünschte Tisch einfach nicht zugewiesen – keinerlei Entschuldigung, keine Lösung, einfach Ignoranz. Besonders ärgerlich war die vollkommen unflexible Haltung des Servicepersonals: Wir waren zu viert und wollten gerne zwei Menüs teilen, was in vielen guten Restaurants absolut üblich ist. Nicht so hier. Uns wurde unmissverständlich mitgeteilt, dass jeder ein komplettes Menü bestellen müsse – kein Entgegenkommen, kein Verständnis, nur starre Regeln, die offenbar vor allem dazu dienen, möglichst viel Geld aus den Gästen zu pressen. Das Ganze wirkte wie reine Touristenabzocke. Wer nicht bereit ist, sich auf Gäste einzulassen und stattdessen nur Umsatz maximieren will, hat unser Geld und unsere Zeit nicht verdient. Fazit: Das Ca’del Re lebt vielleicht von seiner Lage, aber sicher nicht von Gastfreundschaft oder Servicekultur. Wir kommen ganz sicher nicht wieder – und raten jedem, der Wert auf ein angenehmes kulinarisches Erlebnis legt, dringend ab.

03/06/2025: Sono stata con la famiglia in questo posto splendido per festeggiare il mio compleanno: scelto totalmente a scatola chiusa, è stata una vera rivelazione! Abbiamo pranzato in giardino, sotto un grande ciliegio, il personale è stato da subito cordiale e pronto per ogni esigenza ( abbiamo una bimba piccola). Menù sia tradizionale che più sperimentale: provati entrambi, impeccabili su tutta la linea! Prezzo nella media della zona ed equo per la qualità del cibo e del servizio.

04/09/2025: Excellent pastry shop, excellent ice cream shop, excellent coffee shop, good aperitifs, excellent atmosphere. The only drawback is that there is no wheelchair access, so even wheelchair access is difficult.

01/09/2025: Passing by on bikes and in the rain, we were able to warm up and eat (a very reasonable €12 menu). A warm welcome and good service.

11/08/2025: I just bought your burger (York) for takeout for the first time. I have to say I'm very disappointed with the exorbitant price and the very small, dry bun. When I got home, the burger weighed 103g, even though you advertise the bun as containing 150g of meat (and don't say it lost 50g during cooking, because if I pay 13 euros for a bun, you have to guarantee me 150g of meat, as indicated on the menu). It was my first and last time. Terrible experience!

17/08/2025: After waiting half an hour they brought us the order apologizing... but the sandwich bread was so dry that we had to change it... I don't recommend it at all

15/07/2025: We stopped by for an aperitivo; the service was quick, and the drinks were well-made. The average price was €6, and the appetizer was quite generous, and the ingredients were fresh.

10/06/2025: On Sunday we went by motorbike to this place after booking a table for 4 people. The place is enchanting, it seems to be in the high mountains with lots of meadows and a small lake. The restaurant, on the other hand, disappointed us a lot... believe me, I frequent many mountain refuges and I'm not afraid of anything, but this "refuge" is very rarely cleaned. The toilet was full of spiders and cobwebs, the toilet didn't have the upper seat and was leaking water and the door couldn't be closed, no paper towels. The food was disappointing both in quality and above all in quantity. The price was expensive for what you are offered (a veal with tuna sauce, two gnocchi, a ravioli and half a chicken with potatoes, 4 coffees €60) if you want to fill your belly you have to spend at least €50/60 per person. These are restaurant prices... not a dive near the lake. A piece of advice if you want to make the most of the wonderful place where you are, change your approach with customers and keep yourself a little more down to earth because if you continue like this these days no one will come to eat at your place and they will all bring a packed lunch, which is certainly the best choice to appreciate the place even more. Follow the example of mountain refuges with a simpler but more abundant menu and you will see that it will change for the better.

27/07/2025: Friendly staff and fair prices, but the pizza isn't up to par. The dough is average until it cools. From then on, it becomes much tougher and chewier. The ingredients are of terrible quality, as both my girlfriend and I had problems the next day. As for pizza by the slice, you can definitely find better options. The size of the pizzas and the tomato sauce, however, are commendable, as are the much more reputable pizzerias in the Mondovì area.
