23/05/2025: Lunch break today in Rho in the province of Milan, trattoria pizzeria il faro. The place is not very big but it is very clean and tidy with tablecloths on the tables, we took the fixed menu for 10 euros including risotto with shrimp and lemon and as a second course the octopus carpaccio with rocket and parmesan all very good and as a side dish tomato salad with onions. The staff very attentive and thoughtful, paid parking on the street.

27/04/2025: Abbiamo prenotato il pacchetto “degustazione e pranzo” tramite Bernabei,il pacchetto comprende la visita(molto bella) alla cantina e una degustazione di 3 vini,un piccolo tagliere di salumi per due ed un piatto di antipasto misto a persona,mi sarebbe piaciuto poter scegliere che tipo di “pacchetto” poter scegliere visto che poi il “pranzo” bon era un pranzo ma un aperitivo,era un regalo di compleanno per mio marito.
Lo dico come precisazione e non come critica,l antipasto e i salumi erano ottimi,il tonnato eccezionale,abbiamo acquistato anche alcune bottiglie,sarebbe opportuno essere solo piu’ chiari sulla definizione “pranzo”

Uno in accoglienza nel locale e prodigo di consigli per il menù che vuoi assaggiare, l'altro é il menù che vuoi assaggiare. Attento ai sapori e pronto ad uscire con pranzi e cene a tema che hanno nelle sue creazioni il punto di forza. Un modo bello dove la semplicità si coniuga con la voglia di farti scoprire nuovi sapori ereditati dalla tradizione. Andare ogni tanto fa bene al cuore (ed al palato).

18/09/2025: We went for dinner; the atmosphere is very nice, osteria-style (as the name suggests).
The food is good and simple. Their signature dish is grilled meat, even if you're forced to order a cut of at least 0.5kg. The service, in my opinion, needs to change, as there's no menu to see and choose the dishes, nor is there a price list; there's only the girl in the dining room listing a series of dishes, from appetizers to main courses, so in the end, you don't know what to choose because there's so much information (you go to an osteria to be carefree and have a nice evening, "switching off" your brain). The owner is very critical of the wine cellars he doesn't own, and this doesn't do a good job of promoting a region that, from an enological perspective, has a lot to offer.
In the end, since we didn't know the price of the individual dishes, the bill was very reasonable.
14/09/2025: I called to see if there was room for lunch, and was told to go, but once there (just 10 minutes after my call), I was turned away because they said the place was full, even though there were free tables and I was alone. A waste of time.
