03/03/2026: We arrived almost at closing time, but even though there were only three of us, they welcomed us and made three excellent pizzas that we enjoyed without rushing.
The staff were all really friendly.

22/09/2025: On our drive to Nice from Sirmonione, we stopped for lunch at what we thought would be forgettable cafe. To our surprise the food was amazing. The chef came out to tell us about the food. Her enthusiasm for the food was clear and it is reflected in the quality and taste. A real gem of a cafe.

10/11/2025: Lovely place, a little old-fashioned! Incredible food! Definitely worth a try and a return visit! Prices are slightly above average (average second price €25), but the quality justifies the price!
07/11/2025: The food is truly excellent; there must be a very good chef. The place is quite small and therefore fills up quickly. It's best to book because the dishes are truly interesting.

22/03/2026: Cold place, it's cold inside and the layout, even the furnishings, isn't very welcoming. Two herbal teas and a small toasted sandwich topped with tuna sauce (nonexistent), cooked ham (low quality), and arugula. The teapot was the small one even though there were two of us, logically one cup came out small for each, and it only cost €3 each 😁.
20/03/2026: Excellent quality and good value for money. I like to have breakfast or brunch here every now and then.

09/04/2026: Excellent experience. Monforte is a good base for exploring the surrounding area. We stayed in the apartments (a much-appreciated upgrade), which were comfortable, new, very clean, and well-equipped. The restaurant was also excellent, and the staff were generally very friendly, but the waiter was the best. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer.
07/04/2026: A bar in a truly charming location on the central square. The staff is friendly and efficient.
For once, I found a bar with a good selection of cookies for those with food allergies/intolerances. TOP!

06/04/2026: Today at 2:30 PM, Easter Monday, my wife and I stopped by for lunch; the owner was incredibly kind and welcomed us again, despite the late hour. After ordering tajarin with ragù and orecchiette with ragù and speck, while we waited for it to be prepared, we were kindly gifted a splendid raw beef tart with fontina cream, truly amazing and incredibly fresh.
Exceptional first courses and superb desserts (bunet).
The quality and kindness of the owners are impeccable.

The dishes, part of a rather expensive set menu, were mediocre: poorly balanced flavors and small portions.
The quality-price ratio was decidedly below average for similar establishments.

04/04/2026: We went there for lunch. Excellent food, wide selection of wines, including by the glass. The atmosphere is refined, and there's also outdoor seating. Before asking to sit outside, make sure we've set up umbrellas if it's a nice day. Excellent value. Highly recommended.
02/03/2026: A charming, elegant trattoria with a small dining room and stunning location. Service is a bit patchy (visited on a weekday evening with friends; the waiter was a foreigner and inexperienced...).
The dishes are good and well-presented, but the vegetarian selection is limited. Excellent wine selection with moderately high markups. Still, highly recommended, especially for couples and small groups.
Prices are average for elegant trattorias in the Langhe.

30/12/2025: We stopped by chance for a lunch break. The place was packed, and the girls serving us were quick to set a table for us in two minutes, and after 10 minutes, we had our first courses in front of us. The service was really attentive and fast.
What impressed us most, however, were the dishes: exceptional homemade pasta with a fabulous pesto, the flan with gorgonzola fondue was also good, but the desserts were truly extraordinary.
If you're passing by, stop by; it's worth it!
