We dined at this restaurant during our trip to the Langhe. We were very satisfied, and if we ever pass through Monforte again, we'll definitely be back! Truly excellent food and very friendly staff. Fair prices.

We stumbled upon it by chance for a last-minute lunch; they quickly seated us and served us in record time! We ate wonderfully, with two appetizers and two first courses each! The service was impeccable, and credit goes also to Andrea, the waiter who served us: friendly, professional, and very kind!

Excellent experience. Monforte is a good base for exploring the surrounding area. We stayed in the apartments (a much-appreciated upgrade), which were comfortable, new, very clean, and well-equipped. The restaurant was also excellent, and the staff were generally very friendly, but the waiter was the best. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer.

A bar in a truly charming location on the central square. The staff is friendly and efficient. For once, I found a bar with a good selection of cookies for those with food allergies/intolerances. TOP!

You have many options of which town to stay in while visiting Piedmonte. Having lived in Sonoma, CA for 4 years in the late 80's, I was drawn to the size, quaintness, and location of Monforte d'Alba. Hotel Grappolo d'Oro is an ideal place to stay, in every way. The location in the center is ideal, the staff are friendly and interested in assisting you in any way possible, and the rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. They have an excellent bar, producing top-notch caffè in the morning and offering good beer and wine options in the evening. Highly recommended!
