03/05/2026: This is a difficult review to write; it took me over a week because we found many positive aspects, but also just as many we didn't like. Let me start by saying that we ate outside, so this review is limited to that. The location is spectacular, beyond words. The staff is helpful and friendly, perhaps a little overzealous, and in certain situations it shows and feels that way. Garden tables are large but wobbly given the terrain they're set on. The chairs are uncomfortable, despite the cushions provided. The dishes are neither good nor bad; well-presented, but the substance is certainly not a strong point. Given the location, the Michelin logo at the entrance, and the price, it would be nice if the waiter poured the wine, not the customer. Lastly, the price. You pay for the location, which is truly unique, but the quality of the food needs updating, as does the service. When it came time to pay the usual question (all good), my wife's answer (no, and you should have noticed) elicited no reaction, just an outstretched hand to politely hand over the POS. We definitely won't be returning. There are restaurants in Varese where the food is definitely better.

28/03/2026: The gardens and the villa are a wonderful place. There's also a wonderful restaurant serving delicious food with a full respect for local produce. It's luxurious but not overly pompous, with a very friendly atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for this type of restaurant. There's a wide selection of wines, which are matched by the wine list. The villa's collection is very interesting. The art intertwines with the villa's rich interior, where you can see everyday rooms full of the splendor and charm of bygone years. You can spend a pleasant day enjoying the wonderful views in the charming garden.

17/04/2026: Everything was very good, both the pizzas and the hamburger cooked to perfection, wonderful and elegant atmosphere, perfect mix of style. Perfect place for dinner.

15/02/2026: Disappointing. Risotto with porcini mushrooms on a bed of parmesan wafer. Stale wafer and some other type of cheese. Volatiled mushrooms.

27/12/2025: Rich and tasty aperitif, great variety of products, the service was fast considering there were 50 of us.

25/12/2025: Really good place near the center, the food was delicious and was a good amount for an aperitif. Among all, the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend it.

12/05/2026: Sunday birthday lunch that lasted well beyond the scheduled time, and the staff was fabulous. Excellent food and a truly lovely location. Always a sure thing.

30/04/2026: For carnivores... grilled or grilled meat cooked over the large fireplace in the dining room... mushrooms in season... chef-made desserts. Excellent restaurant also for vegetarian meals. Friendly and informal atmosphere. Fair prices. Craft beer. Well-stocked wine bar.

08/05/2026: If you want to eat disgusting food, this place is for you... chef on the phone, cold and inedible dishes... zero taste and waiters who look at you as if you have to run because they have to invoice... RIDICULOUS

28/04/2026: Excellent pizza and impeccable service. The only downside is the large dining room, which means there's a lot of noise from customers talking, which echoes throughout the room, and everyone raises their voices because they can't hear, creating a bit of chaos. This isn't the owner's fault, of course.

31/03/2026: A very beautiful location, quiet and romantic. The meat dish was delicious, and the meat melted in your mouth. I can't say the same for the fish dish: a small piece (two bites) of boiled sea bass on a cream of bitter fava beans. Maybe I got the wrong dish.

01/03/2026: I recently went to Playa for dinner and had a great time. The lakeside location is truly beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a pleasant evening. The food is excellent, with carefully prepared, high-quality dishes. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. It's also an ideal location for events thanks to its location and space. Highly recommended! 😍✨

23/04/2026: Large fields not far from changing rooms and bars, parking is quite easy to find!

21/04/2026: It's a nice pool, but you can't swim. There's a long line to get in, so get there early or around noon. The whole facility has a really nice sound!

15/03/2026: Sunday family lunch This place was recommended to me, and I have to say I'm extremely satisfied. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet, and the service is perfect; attentive to the customer's needs (they brought us the pizza already divided for the two diners who wanted to split it), fast, and with a friendly, unobtrusive approach. The pizzas are top-notch, and the oxtail stew is also remarkable. Congratulations, and we'll definitely be back.

01/03/2026: We celebrated my son's 18th birthday at a beautiful place on the lake, excellent service, and friendly staff, especially Asia, a very kind woman who was available to meet our every need. Excellent food 😊 I recommend it!
