01/12/2025: We went for lunch with the business menu. The location is close to the Bizzarone customs office, with plenty of parking nearby. The place is pleasant, quiet, and tidy. The customer service was always prompt and courteous. The food was good, but the portions were very small. A mixed fried fish cost €9, and included seven squid rings. I definitely won't be returning.

15/05/2026: Very unfriendly staff. Food was good but the portions were small. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The staff spoke as if they were sitting in their own living room at home. It's like the old days of 1980s gastronomy, when things like this were acceptable. But in 2023, it's simply outdated. Hence, 2 stars.

14/05/2026: Not recommended, even if you can't find any other food. The food is terrible; the spaghetti was definitely from two days ago. The grandmothers are very unfriendly and certainly belong to the former "elite" of Sicily. The place is full of intrusive flies that even fly onto your plate or into your wine glass in the evening. When we asked for a different glass of wine because it was dirty and had a fly on it, we were charged for it again. We hadn't looked at the reviews and are truly ashamed that such a place can still exist. It needs to be taken over by someone who actually knows something about cooking and service.

24/04/2026: I went in to ask if I could use the restroom (telling the owner I'd pay for the coffee and drink it later because I was having lunch at a small place that didn't have a restroom). She responded rudely, telling me that if I didn't drink it right away, she wouldn't let me use the restroom. Now, looking at the reviews, I thought I'd had a bad day, but it seems like that's how she really is—mean and unpleasant!) A piece of advice from one barista to another: either have a drink before starting or change your job. Kudos to you for your empathy and kindness, the place's strong points.

25/03/2026: Everything was negative, starting with the rude and sullen barista. Coffee wasn't served at the outside tables, and arrived cold. Finally, we asked if she could kindly refill our bike water bottles with tap water (a fairly common practice at all bars), and were told they don't serve tap water, so we had to buy a bottle. Now I'm asking if it's possible to refuse the water!

02/05/2026: I'm celiac and ordered two gluten-free piadinas for myself and two regular ones for my brother via Deliveroo. One of the gluten-free ones had grilled chicken (which should be gluten-free unless otherwise specified). When my order arrived, I received a package with the regular ones and one with the gluten-free ones written on it. I opened the package and found a post-it note next to the one with the chicken that said, "Please note that our chicken contains gluten." Given this, I avoided eating it to avoid getting sick, but I also wasted money. I recommend that management specify which of your ingredients contain gluten at the time of ordering and not via a note, otherwise customers get ripped off on delivery. I don't know if I'll order delivery again.

07/02/2026: STAND AWAY !!! I showed up at this hotel for check-in a little before 2am on a Sunday in July 2024. There I was met with a closed gate with no way to get in for check-in. I have my own car and it is almost impossible to park in the narrow street by the hotel, but I was able to temporarily park in the driveway of a neighbor of the hotel. The hotel is located within a fenced area with a large metal gate and it cannot be opened from the outside and it is therefore not possible to enter either by car or on foot. There is no poster or other information at the gate on how to contact the hotel. The hotel looks completely uninhabited and the neighbor with whom I parked said that there were nonsensical and problematic conditions there. I then called the hotel manager on the number listed on Booking.com and was told that check-in had to be done in the city center at another hotel and that that was the only option I had. To get to this hotel you have to drive through impassable narrow streets with masses of tourists and I told the host that this was out of the question and that he had to show up at the hotel so that I could check in normally. Important: There is no place in the hotel information that it says that check-in should be several kilometers away from the hotel. He refused to come to the hotel to check in there and I therefore had to just leave and find another hotel. This matter is in my opinion completely incomprehensible. I have been on vacation in Europe now for almost four weeks but have never come close to this behavior from a hotel host. STEER AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL !!

16/05/2026: Tourist trap. A disgrace. We ordered a salad for €13 and received bagged leaves with mozzarella and no dressing. The pizza was frozen with canned mushrooms... in short, we should have read the reviews beforehand... right near the market, they know they're busy. Shameful.

01/05/2026: I stopped by for a quiet coffee... Questionable welcome, dirty table, slow service... coffee that wasn't really coffee. I was hoping for better!

28/04/2026: One of the most disgusting Mc Donald's we've ever eaten. I went for lunch today with my girlfriend, we waited 25 minutes even though the restaurant was empty. Plus, the sandwiches were disgusting and tasted like cardboard. I ate at 3 PM and it's still in my stomach. I'll never go back.

12/04/2026: 1:46 PM, nothing has arrived yet... it's the second time... the first time. After a 20-minute wait, we noticed my sandwich was cold and I was alone waiting on the balcony... everything else was still missing...

29/09/2025: Something has gotten out of hand... probably the large influx of tourists with deep pockets ascending to Brunate by funicular or taxi has meant that even these types of huts, considered rustic and the preserve of a few hikers until 15-20 years ago, are now enjoying a golden age, boasting menus priced like those of a downtown restaurant. Prices that would be partially justified if the refuge were located at 2,000 meters with no access road, but I repeat, "anything goes"... good for them while it lasts... :-)

27/07/2025: Shabby but charming with an absolutely ~spectacular~ view, and ok breakfast as well. For me the smell (especially in the toilettes) and the rats in the walls are the reasons we won’t be coming back.

09/05/2026: The worst place I've been to in Italy. Service is 2 stars, arrogant waiters who keep yelling that tables are reserved even though there are no people waiting in line and there is no tablet on the table with the inscription "reserved" or anything like that like in all civilized locations. I think the people who work here deserve to be fired because they don't know about politeness and culture at work. I'm going to make an anti-advertisement to all my friends not to come here and waste their time 🤢🤡

04/05/2026: This hotel was a letdown despite its location. The room had a lot of mosquitoes and no preventive measures like screens or repellents. Breakfast availability was also very limited. Another issue was the unexpected late check-in fee. This was not mentioned during booking and only appeared in an email afterward. We arrived one hour late and were charged €30 per hour per room, which is excessive and quite shocking compared to other hotels. The only redeeming quality was the breathtaking lake view.

06/06/2026: Zero, you can't sin...soft, tasteless ice cream made from lake water...it melts as soon as you leave the place and it tastes the same...change jobs, it's indecent to sell a product like that

04/06/2026: The highlight of my visit was the napkin. The ice cream was so bland that even water had more flavor. Blindfolded, I wouldn't have been able to tell if I was eating strawberry, chocolate, or the cone. Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience.

12/04/2026: I don't understand the negative reviews. Everything was very good, despite the limited menu. The place was clean and we were served in less than 5 minutes.

17/05/2026: The food sucked, I asked for a bottle of water and it arrived 1 hour and 30 minutes after, long time also because the food took hours on hours to prepare, the waiters where slower than sid the sloth, and on top of that rude an unprofessional, I asked for a waiter to come over we fully looked at each other for 5 seconds and he turned around like he didn’t see me, the bathroom looks straight out of a gulag and the toilet mechanism is broken, the pizza was literally a frozen pizza heated up, and it could be probably thrown like a frisbee and it would fly, that’s how rigid it was, i spent 20 bucks for a carbonara that looked like it had curry in it, would recommend to bring people that you hate and want them to have a bad lunch.

17/05/2026: Food is awful. The ceviche is nothung good. Waited 29min before someone accepted to take my order. The welcoming lady is so mean. Stay away from this place!!!

23/05/2026: Amazing croissant, crispy flaky nicely filled try the cream, the chocolate because I had to try again. Place is set in front of an open place where Saturday had a local flee market.

18/05/2026: Simply terrible table service... poorly organised to the point of rudeness. Not recommended.
