14/07/2025: Recently renovated, but little or nothing has changed. We ordered pizzas, some burned, others undercooked, and some without the requested ingredients (gorgonzola). The two pizzas were taken away, gorgonzola was added, and they reheated them to melt it. However, for the "bianca" pizza (which we ordered), we decided to keep the sauce on top (let's just say it wasn't a good evening for the staff. Several times, dishes we didn't request were brought to our table). The desserts were just above average, only the presentation was good. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, a real shame.

13/07/2025: I went to Plinio for lunch. We ate very well. Everything was delicious, the service was perfect, and the place was well-maintained. I recommend it.

And etc. Etc. 6 years ago I wrote an excellent review but since Lorenzo got married everything has changed the terrible service long faces staff who are not suited to this job. exception for wife who is always kind and nice. It makes me sad to write this but it is like this..

23/06/2025: A wonderful discovery surrounded by greenery! We had the pleasure of stumbling upon this enchanting agriturismo, nestled in the woods, where simplicity meets the most authentic authenticity. The place is well-kept, welcoming, and surrounded by nature, with goats roaming peacefully, contributing to a truly unique atmosphere. The cuisine is one of the highlights: everything is made with goat's milk produced on-site, locally sourced (or even closer). We tried an unforgettable berry sorbet, incredibly fresh and rich in flavor, and the equally surprising cheesecake, which in our case was topped with cherry. The owner explained that the flavor varies depending on the seasonal fruit, making each visit unique. You can also purchase the products retail, a great way to take some of this deliciousness home with you (we opted for goat cheese). The most precious moment was the chat with the owner: a delightful person, passionate and deeply attached to her work. Her attention to customer service, product quality, and environmental care is evident in every detail. We are staunch supporters of authentic businesses like this, which stand out in an increasingly industrialized world for offering authentic, genuine flavors made with love. My fiancé and I will definitely be back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a simple yet heartfelt experience.

13/06/2025: I had the pleasure of dining here recently and was extremely impressed. The setting is welcoming and well-kept, perfect for a pleasant evening. The service was impeccable: the staff are attentive, friendly and professional, making you feel immediately at ease. But the real star is the food. Every dish we tried was a real treat, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and presented beautifully. You can feel the passion and care in every detail. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, I will be back soon!

15/06/2025: If you are trying to find an oasis of pure awe, you should give this lido a chance: there is a nice pool, but if you feel stubborn you can always give the lake a try. You can have also your lunch, or your little glass of prosecco thinking about the meaning of life scanning the waves, thinking then that life isn't so bad. If you sunbath, remember to use solar screen. Might be a little pricey buuut worth the shot.

12/06/2025: It was very nice. The cafe was good. Prices were reasonable. There was enough space for everyone. The kids loved it. The tall, slim staff member was very friendly. You can swim in the pool or lake.

17/05/2025: Muy buena relación calidad-precio en este restaurante que requiere un aumento de personal de servicio. Muy buenos platos. El menú de la mesa dice 12 € para el almuerzo completo, pero falta 1 € para el café, por lo que el total es de 13 € si también obtiene el café. Lo que me intrigó del menú fue la escritura de dos bocadillos incluidos. Me pregunté, pero ¿quién puede comer más de dos bocadillos por comida? Obtuve la respuesta cuando trajeron los dos sándwiches realmente pequeños, deliciosos, pero microscópicos.

17/05/2025: What a hidden gem! This is the ultimate quirky restaurant. The food is superb!! The homemade bread was amazing. We had melt in the mouth calamari, no breadcrumbs no batter!! Awesome!! My main course of Frito lake fish was amazing, no hint of oil, crisp and hot as was the verdure (vegetables). Excellent! My pannacotta had a perfect wobble. Beware the portions may be too much.

28/02/2025: Excellent dishes and very kind staff, I took a piadina with a particular cooking of turkey which at first I thought was raw, but realizing I was wrong and that it was simply a particular flavour, I asked for a tuna piadina and they didn't charge me for the first piadina, they were very kind in their explanation and treatment, despite my insistence they didn't want to charge me

04/08/2025: If you're looking for a slice of paradise in the mountains, Rifugio Menaggio is a must-see. After a regenerating hike immersed in nature, arriving at the refuge is a true reward: the staff welcomes you with a genuine smile and a warmth that immediately makes you feel at home. The mushroom risotto was a true delight, creamy and rich in flavor, perfect after the effort of trekking. The view from the refuge is breathtaking: majestic mountains, clear skies, and a rejuvenating silence. The garden is the ideal place to relax, read a book, or simply enjoy the scenery. And for those who love adventure, there's also the option of pitching a tent and sleeping under the stars—an experience I've had and highly recommend.

02/08/2025: A magnificent place that I've known for years and with a stunning location... very easy to find, with parking just before the trail to reach it. The approach is very easy, scenic, and well-marked and maintained. Once you arrive, you can continue to the summit of Grona either from the via ferrata or the trail, enjoying a devastating view of both Lake Como and Ceresio and the small (but beautiful) Lake Piano. The refuge is stunning and super welcoming with excellent food, draft beer, a terrace and lawn below where you can peacefully rest or sunbathe :)... in short, a unique and wonderful place... highly recommended to everyone 🔝 (photo from the top of Mount Grona)

16/06/2025: tartare and temaki, I sent them back because they had a strange taste and in fact after 10 minutes I went to the bathroom to vomit.

11/08/2025: The staff were friendly enough, but the pizza was truly inedible. We ordered two Margheritas and a seafood pizza, both of which were awful... avoid this pizzeria...

28/07/2025: We came here for dinner yesterday, but a very rude staff member, possibly the owner, completely spoiled the experience for us. Despite the restaurant being no more than 20% full, he refused to let us sit at a table with a lake view. Instead, we were made to sit facing a socket, while several lake-view tables remained empty. It was late, and no other guests were arriving. The food was mediocre, and the service extremely poor. We were genuinely surprised – until now, we’ve always enjoyed Italian food and hospitality. Sadly, this experience was a real disappointment. We do not recommend this place.

24/07/2025: Il menu pranzo costa 15 euro con antipasto primo secondo e caffè e fin qui tutto bene, ma se per caso ai prende solo un piatto il costo è comunque 15 € e se disgraziatamente si prende una pizza ed una bottiglia d'acqua anche qui il costo è di 15 € ( a conti fatti una pizza Margherita costa 6€ acqua 1€ caffè 1€ e mi viene da dire resto mancia?) Se è la loro reale politica serve che venga riportata così che il cliente possa scegliere se andarci o meno

06/08/2025: Super friendly and attentive, fast service, authentic Italian food, and very fair prices for good quality. Despite the street location, the ambiance on the terrace was also lovely. All the staff were very friendly. The four of us enjoyed all three courses, coffee, and a nightcap on the house, and we would come back. Thanks for the great evening! :-)

27/07/2025: A very well-stocked e-cigarette retailer, you'll find everything you need. What really sets it apart, however, is the courtesy, kindness, and helpfulness of the managers and employees. Not just for e-cigarettes and the like, but also as a bar and tobacconist, my go-to place in the area, without a doubt. Ample parking nearby, easily accessible. Excellent overall!!!
