Frey Bar In Capiago intimiano

A very nice and welcoming bar both inside and out, with excellent pastries and coffee. The staff was also kind and welcoming; I was served by a nice, friendly, curly-haired guy with glasses.

The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and the place itself is cute. However, the service was disappointing. We had to wait a long time before anyone acknowledged us or explained where to sit. If it had been our first visit, we would have been left standing at the entrance not knowing what to do. Even though staff were around, no one came to assist us for quite some time. Overall, the food and value were good, but the service could be much more attentive and welcoming.

(2026) This year at Frey's bar: excellent variety and quality of pastries for breakfast, always available even late in the morning, and the desserts are always good at any time. The staff and service are always top marks! The following review is from a few years ago.....>It's true that it was 10:30, but for breakfast, all you could find were two croissants and a dry tart. It seems truly miserable! They should change suppliers, this is poor quality and quantity. Excellent service. (2025) I returned to the bar again, and I must say that the supply of pastries for breakfast has improved significantly. The service and location are always excellent.

I arrive at Como for work in the morning and usually stop by for a coffee and a croissant. Normally I order at the counter, but this time the staff let me order at a table, which was great. As for the cappuccino today, there was so much foam that there was hardly any coffee in the cup, which wasn't the case before. I think I might need to find a different cafe next time.

A good bar with friendly service, just like you remember from your last holiday in Italy.
