14/05/2026: I'm writing to report the terrible management we experienced during today's lunch at your restaurant. While the food was decent value for money, the dining room service was a complete disaster. The staff insisted on seating us in the worst possible seats in the restaurant. We were seated next to a couple who spent the entire meal kissing and kissing, making the meal extremely awkward and uncomfortable due to the forced proximity. Added to this was the disastrous order management: the waiters continually got the dishes wrong, and the waits were incredibly long, wasting a lot of our time. The dining room staff should show greater attention and flexibility, both in managing orders and assigning tables, to ensure customer comfort.

07/06/2026: A true hidden gem off the beaten track! Anyone looking for an authentic and outstanding culinary experience on Lake Como should definitely not miss La P'Posteria. For us, this restaurant was an absolute stroke of luck and a real insider tip! Food & Cuisine The food here is simply superb. No matter what you order from the menu, everything tastes excellent, is freshly prepared, and perfectly seasoned. A particular highlight for us was the beef tartare: The truffle salt served with it is simply divine and gives the dish a sensational touch. It's worth the visit for that alone! Atmosphere & Clientele The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, and everything is spotlessly clean. What we especially appreciated and what made the evening perfect was that during our visit, it was almost exclusively locals with hardly any tourists. That's exactly what we were looking for – an honest, local restaurant with Italian charm, far removed from typical mass tourism. Service The experience is rounded off by excellent service. The team is attentive, warm, and makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. Conclusion Everything is just right here: fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and superb service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend La P'Posteria to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine!

06/04/2026: Great place not too far from Lake Como. The staff is nice and helpful. The apartment is good and has all the basic things. The breakfast was great, especially I loved the croissant and coffee. The place has a pleasant Italian vibe, which was perfect for our trip :)

18/05/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ The waiter brought us the menu and then disappeared completely. Even though we were the only guests—apart from five locals at the regulars' table—we waited for 40 minutes without anyone taking our order or even coming back. Finally, we left. Very disappointing service.

30/05/2026: One of my favorite places in Como. It's one of those places where everything works so well that it's hard to find anything to criticize. The cocktails are always carefully prepared and truly excellent, the aperitifs are plentiful and high-quality, the staff is friendly, professional, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The prices are also absolutely fair for what they offer. After two years, I still return with the same pleasure as the first time, and I think that says it all 🥂🇮🇹☀️

17/08/2025: It's a very nice hotel. We woke up to the sound of birdsong and a lake view. We had dinner at the hotel and it was very enjoyable. It was very enjoyable to sit and chat in the garden and in the rooms in the evening. My only problem was that there wasn't a separate shower in the bathroom. We had to pull the shower curtain and shower in the bathroom, which left the whole place covered in water. It's not safe, and I wouldn't recommend it.

15/11/2025: I dined with friends at the hotel's lake-view restaurant. The dishes were exceptional, tasty, and well-balanced, presented with style. The service was simply excellent and exudes a noble hotel tradition that is hard to find these days. I can't review the rooms, having not been there, but the restaurant was a truly pleasant surprise. Probably the best I've visited on Lake Como.

01/05/2026: Aside from the truly lovely location and beautiful view of the Circeo coast, the rest was very disappointing: slow, improvised and inexperienced service, poor quality food and extremely expensive bill (small, bare salads cost 14 euros!!!). Never again.

24/04/2026: Nice place. Service okay. But charging €7 for a small bottle of Ichnusa beer is unacceptable.

18/05/2026: We stayed at the family run Albergo Il Vapore for 2 nights and the hospitality we had from Pinuccia and Simone was second to none. The evening dinner at the restaurant we had was so good we ate there 2 nights in a row! The fresh pasta and fish dishes were deliciously prepared by the chef Simone.... make sure to book if eating here as its very popular! Highly recommended!

Albergo Il Vapore is everything you hope to find in Italy — authentic, family-run, warm, and completely unforgettable. The setting in the heart of Menaggio is beautiful, but it’s the atmosphere and homemade food that truly make this place special. Every dish tasted like it was made with genuine care and tradition. Fresh pasta, incredible flavors, simple ingredients done perfectly — the kind of meal that reminds you why Italian cuisine is loved around the world. You can feel the passion in every plate. The service was equally wonderful: welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely kind, making us feel more like guests in someone’s home than customers at a restaurant. What we loved most was how authentic everything felt. No tourist traps, no unnecessary fuss — just outstanding food, a charming atmosphere, and a memorable experience shared together. Easily one of the highlights of our entire trip and without question the best lunch we had in Italy. If you’re visiting Menaggio, do yourself a favor and eat here. We’ll be talking about this meal for a very long time.
