The patty turned out to be just a bit of fried egg; I had at least expected something plant-based. The fries were average. The disappointment was compounded when I was charged for a drink I hadn't ordered. Of course, I got a refund for the overpayment.

04/05/2026: Smeraldo in Brescia is an absolute winner. The pizza and pasta are both out of this world—fresh, full of flavour and just done right. The service is warm and easygoing, which makes the whole experience even better. Great food, great people. Definitely worth a visit!

02/06/2026: Pier Trattoria in Coccaglio is a high-end restaurant. Meticulously crafted, elegant, spacious, and bright, it offers a truly pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The menu deserves special mention: a wide selection of à la carte dishes and numerous off-menu options, all very inviting. We chose some traditional dishes and were completely satisfied, both with the generous portions and the quality and deliciousness of the preparation. A well-deserved 10. The beef in olive oil also deserves praise. The wine list is also good, with a wide and well-stocked selection. Service is provided by friendly, pleasant, and professional staff, always attentive to the needs of guests. Finally, a special mention goes to Pier, the owner: present, attentive, and capable of making all guests feel at ease, right at home. An experience I recommend without hesitation.

12/06/2026: We are absolutely thrilled! Excellent food, excellent service, and a wonderful view of the lake. The side salad deserves special mention; it was a proper mixed salad with a delicious vinaigrette, not some dry, sloppy bowl of salad with just a sloppy dressing of vinegar and oil. We will definitely be back during our vacation. A big thank you also goes to the owner himself, who answered all our questions about the region. We highly recommend this restaurant! Update: We visited Peter and his wife's Restaurant Holland again during our vacation. This time, the chef outdid herself. We didn't eat better at all during our entire trip! Her pasta was already fantastic, but the fish and meat dishes were incredibly delicious! Thank you again!

03/05/2026: We came with friends and ordered six pizzas. For the first part of the evening, the staff were very welcoming, and great attention was paid to intolerances and allergies (written everywhere). The menu was beautiful, beautifully designed, and organized with specific sections for those with intolerances and allergies. Unfortunately, they mixed up the orders a bit, with pizzas arriving with ingredients missing or where it was clearly stated not to be included. The waiter also explained to us that the restaurant was particularly busy, but they'd prefer to have a few fewer tables so they can be more attentive to customer needs and avoid overwhelming the kitchen.

03/05/2026: A spacious restaurant located in the center of Desenzano, yet slightly away from the hustle and bustle, with a beautiful courtyard. The attractive colors and relaxing decor allow you to enjoy delicious dishes in complete tranquility. The bigoli with fava beans and anchovies are excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable for the service, presentation, and quality of the dishes.
