25/03/2025: A super interesting location, with an old-fashioned feel. Mrs. Giuliana ("the innkeeper") is an interesting woman, who sits among the guests and among the employees, helping with everything that happens in that location. The food is good and the bohemian atmosphere makes all the difference. I recommend making a reservation! People are waiting to be seated at a table, like at a bar, you won't believe it😀...we waited about an hour before we were invited to a table. The interesting thing is that most of them are Italian!!! I recommend it with all my heart!!!

17/03/2025: Ho conosciuto questo tempio di gastronomia ittica pochi giorni orsono, grazie ad un signorile invito della Famiglia Ghisleni, che ha raccolto attorno a sé giocatori, dirigenti e giornalisti che hanno vissuto il miracolo sportivo della Virescit, arrivata ad essere la seconda, sorprendente squadra di calcio a Bergamo. Da fuori il locale non attira certamente l’occhio, ma tutto si trasforma varcata la soglia, soprattutto per la grande professionalità di Manrico e di tutto il suo staff, in cucina e in sala. Pare che trovare posto in questo ristorante sia impresa ardua e questo, in effetti, è già un buon segnale. Iniziamo con uno strepitoso Antipasto ovviamente di pesce, crudo e cotto, tra cui spiccano ostriche, capesante gratinate, scampi, gamberi, polpo in insalata, carpacci e buonissimi moscardini in umido serviti a parte. Scegliamo di proseguire con le bollicine che hanno iniziato la serata con un brindisi per ricordare il presidente Sandro, anima competente e generosa di quella squadra orgoglio di Boccaleone, il suo quartiere. Il primo piatto è a tema: “Risotto viola ai frutti di bosco con Camembert e scampo”, equilibrato e perfetto nella cottura, operazione non facile quando è da servire per l’intera sala. Sorprendente pure il “Raviolo ripieno di branzino, capasanta, scampi e agrumi” accompagnato da rametti di salicornia, l’asparago di mare, un tempo chiamato anche “dei poveri”. Crediamo però che la portata dalla realizzazione più difficile sia stata la “Spigola arrotolata con scampo, vongole e purè alla barbabietola”, piatto che sorride agli occhi ed al palato, frutto di grande intuizione, scenograficamente di fascino e con gli ingredienti che ben si sposano tra loro. Non contenti, gli impeccabili operatori di sala ci avvicinavano cartocci ripieni di fritto misto leggerissimo e verdurine in tempura, segnale di generosità che proseguirà in seguito con piatti ricchi di scaglie di formaggio Grana. Chiusura trionfale con un “Cannolo con gelato di vaniglia, crema chantilly e frutti di bosco”. Abbiamo quindi cenato benissimo, in una serata densa di emozioni, amarcord, abbracci e visione di un filmato che ci ha portato indietro nel tempo. Carla, Massimo e Roberta Ghisleni non avrebbero potuto scegliere insegna migliore per ricordare la loro squadra in viola. Come la maglia e lo strepitoso risotto.

13/04/2025: I had dinner with friends in this place and we ate polenta with mushrooms, polenta with egg and truffle flakes, polenta with cheese. Platter of mixed cheeses, colonnata lard with fried gnocco and caramelized onions. Platter of mixed meats. All dishes were great! All accompanied by a Ca de Frati white wine. Excellent quality/price! I highly recommend this place where kindness and quality reign supreme.

16/02/2025: Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante tipico bergamasco e ci siamo trovati molto bene. L’atmosfera è accogliente e il personale gentile. I casoncelli erano davvero buoni, così come i pizzoccheri, che avevano un ottimo sapore. Tuttavia, sul menù non era indicato che fossero conditi con la panna. Per gusto personale, li avremmo preferiti senza, perché avrebbero esaltato meglio il sapore della salsiccia e dei porcini. Detto questo, la qualità del cibo è ottima e le porzioni abbondanti
