The Bergamo trip is coming to an end. Tomorrow I have to go to Lecco. Today I had lunch at a restaurant in downtown Bergamo. I plan to go to Esselunga in Bergamo and do some shopping. First of all, it is a 10-minute walk from the accommodation. Go to Taverna_del_Gallo_da_Salvatore. I looked it up on Google Maps and found it had good reviews as a local restaurant, so I visited. The road is beautiful, and the owner is very nice. The menu includes Casoncelli (Casonsey) pasta, the signature pasta of the Bergamo region. Ordered 3 dishes including seafood pasta, burrata cheese, and bread topped with tomatoes. They say you can't order pizza for lunch. Spaghetti del Gallo allo scoglio 18 euros (Our Spaghetti specialty with clams, mussels and crawfish) Casonsei nostrani alla Bergamasca 11 euros (Ravioli typical specialty of Bergamo) Burrata di Andria con bruschettine al pomodoro fresco 11 euros (Mozzarella cheese from Puglia filled with cream and served with bruschetta and tomatoes) Total 40 euros. Really reasonable price for food suitable for 3 people. This is a local restaurant where you can eat Bergamo food at a low price. Although it is a little dark, there are many paintings inside the restaurant, giving it a European feel. The food came in the following order: kasonsei, seafood pasta, and salad, and I enjoyed it. Charming boss and the pizza maker as well. Wonderful people who make you spend your time in a very pleasant way. It is surely one of the places that I will repeat in Bergamo, despite being a little far from the high city it is worth walking a little. And enjoy good food, excellent pizzas

Tried it for a pizza with friends. Undercooked pizza and only packaged desserts.... maybe it was the wrong evening..... nice staff.

Delicious, generous portion and low price! 3 of us ate with loose wine and very fresh and rather delicious fish! I'll be back!!

The risotto and the seafood platter were delicious and the Chardonnay wine very good. The prices are very good for the quality offered by the restaurant
