Ristorante Pizzeria Ancora In Bergamo

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were truly delighted. We started with a tuna carpaccio that was simply exceptional: incredibly fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. The oysters were also excellent, high-quality and perfectly served. We then ordered two pizzas, both very good, with fresh ingredients and a light crust. A wonderful discovery that will definitely make us return. Kudos to the entire staff!

We discovered the All’Ancora restaurant in Santa Flavia, Sicily. The dishes are exceptional: perfectly al dente pasta and crispy fries. The grilled veal is unforgettable, and the vegetarian dishes are exquisite. As for the desserts, especially the almond ice cream, they are a true invitation to return! There really is something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable, and Paul's friendly service is memorable. Thank you for the warm welcome, the service, and these delicious dishes. It gives us a wonderful impression of Sicily: kind and welcoming. Absolutely 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The owner is a wonderful host. The staff is friendly. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is velvety, with its lights, colors, and furnishings. The place can be a bit noisy when the room is full.

We had two decent pizzas, very thin, well-cooked, but nothing exceptional. Service was poor, and I'm being generous because drinks usually arrive immediately after you order. We had to repeat the order after the pizzas had already arrived. None of the very few waiters ever came over to check if everything was okay; they seemed like they were at a funeral. The atmosphere was very hot, noisy, and the decor was excellent. They don't have ginseng in 2026! I don't think I'll be back.

We often return for a casual lunch or dinner just steps from the center at the Ancora restaurant! We've tried many delicious dishes, including meat dishes, and the kitchen also offers pizzas, but a special mention goes to the fish, always fresh and well-prepared! The chocolate cake is breathtaking! The service is very prompt, and the recently renovated atmosphere is truly welcoming and relaxing.

A restaurant with a clear identity problem. The exterior is reminiscent of an '80s pizzeria, while the interior attempts to be a more sophisticated, dark, and refined restaurant. But this difference doesn't create an interesting contrast: it creates confusion. There's no clear direction, neither aesthetic nor gastronomic. The menu follows the same logic: dishes without a clear line. It's not contemporary Italian cuisine, nor traditional, nor international. It's simply a confusing offering. Unfortunately, the execution doesn't help either. Sautéed mussels, tiny and flavorless. In these cases, it would be more correct to immediately point out that the product isn't up to par and not offer it. Paccheri with seafood: raw pasta and, above all, completely devoid of flavor. The individual ingredients couldn't be distinguished—cuttlefish, clams, mussels—everything had the same indistinct taste. The clams, moreover, tasted overcooked. Generous portions and a moderately low price (€37 with drinks, no wine), but the problem is that the taste experience is completely lacking. I know another restaurant with the same owners that I really appreciate: here, however, we're on a decidedly different level. A place that could have potential, but currently lacks direction.
