12/07/2026: It was wonderful to celebrate my birthday in this historic restaurant with my family. The best casoncelli in the valley. Everything is delicious and high quality, including the homemade desserts. The staff is always welcoming, especially Elena, who is excellent! We've known this place for over 20 years, and it's always nice to return.
05/07/2026: Location: The place is very original and classic, beautifully decorated both inside and out. It's on the main road of ValPiana and is a popular stop for locals from the plains.
Menu: It offers classic Bergamo fare, with generous portions, but more like a restaurant. Prices are fair, and the quality reflects the price; in fact, the price is lower than the quality, which is very high. The taragna is good, although I think it's a little too cheesy, but it's still fine. The rest of the food is delicious. I had the wild boar, which was incredibly tender and flavorful; it didn't taste too gamey, which I really appreciated.
Service: The waitresses are kind and attentive, always available.
Definitely worth a try if you're passing by!

18/08/2026: A positive experience, excellent food, welcoming and very professional staff, and a beautiful terrace overlooking the valley. I had a tagliata, excellent, and the meat was very tender. I don't know what the pizza is like, but I had the focaccia, and the dough was truly excellent. Excellent value. I recommend it.

A plus for Marco, who was very kind and attentive.

27/06/2026: A good pizza restaurant, excellent quality food, moderate prices, and a lovely, spacious veranda where you can enjoy dining. The service is sometimes imprecise, but if you arrive before 8:00, it doesn't take too long. I dined there on a Friday evening, during the summer, and I saw Renée coming in for dinner even after 9:00. Reservations recommended.

12/10/2025: Is it possible that it rained for 30 minutes at 8:00, you go at 12 and the chairs are still wet because they can't dry them?
Is it possible that one time there's no wine, one time there's no beer, one time there's no Coke?
Is it possible that I order an aperitif and after it arrives, 25 minutes later the platter arrives, and I've already finished my drink and have to leave?
Then they never notice you're out and you always have to wait 15 minutes before they notice.
The bathrooms are always dirty, with no toilet paper or hand towel.
The owner swears in front of customers...

22/09/2025: But what happened since last year? The outdoor terrace is completely dirty, the aperitif price is unchanged but there's no platter. What a shame! Two stars, not one, just for the kind waiter.

02/05/2025: Siamo stati alla Taverna Rottigni per pranzo il 21 aprile 2025.
La location offre una vista sulle montagne e sulle valli meravigliosa, e l'interno è curato nei minimi dettagli e molto caratteristico.
Per antipasto abbiamo preso due taglieri di salumi e formaggi buonissimi e le polpettine alle erbe e formaggio filante all'interno...assolutamente da provare! Primi piatti deliziosi e la polenta targna è da non perdere.
In 4 persone prendendo 2 taglieri, 1 porzione di polpette, 4 primi, 2 taragne con formaggio, 1 targna semplice, 2 dolci, acqua, vino e 3 caffè abbiamo speso intorno ai 125€. Tappeto qualità prezzo eccellente e non tarderemo a ritornarci!
05/04/2025: Mio ristorante preferito quando siamo in zona.
Difficile che mi deluda, sempre buono l’ antipasto della casa, buonissimi gli involtini e ottima la polenta taragna con funghi porcini.
Una cosa però mi ha deluso, il filetto ordinato da me, sono riuscito a mangiarne solo una piccola parte, il resto non si riusciva nemmeno a tagliarlo con coltello da carne.
Un piatto sbagliato può capitare
Mantengo una valutazione comunque positiva.

21/04/2025: Ci veniamo da anni e i prodotti sono sempre ottimi, sfornati giornalmente. Il personale e’ gentile e accogliente.
E’ sempre un piacere fermarsi.
09/01/2025: Giorno 5 gennaio .Nonostante qualche recensione negativa,decidiamo di andare a provare la colazione,brioche e spremuta fresche,abbiamo trovato personale gentile,tavoli puliti, cani di media taglia in veranda esterna, e una squisita pasticceria.
nonostante fosse arrivato un cappuccio al posto di un latte bianco per mia figlia,è stato rifatto in tempo breve.
Abbiamo trovato un locale e sito completamente rinnovato.
Complimenti!! Sicuramente torneremo per provare i caffè gourmet dall'aspetto molto invitanti.👏

23/12/2024: Siamo andati ieri sera a prendere un aperitivo io e mio marito, uno da 6 e uno da 7 euro, ci hanno portato qualche stuzzichino per altro non richiesto, come del resto si usa all'ora dell'aperitivo, e cmq non era certo un tagliere da 6 euro. Conto 19 euro! Mi dispiace , ma non ci andremo piu', prima ci andavamo ....
03/11/2024: Ci siamo stati più volte per l'aperitivo.
Location meravigliosa e gestita da ragazzi giovani e davvero molto molto molto competenti. Gentilezza, raffinatezza contraddistinguono questo locale. Prossimamente proveremo anche il ristorante.
Consiglio assolutamente.
Bravi a tutti siete professionali e di una gentilezza disarmante.

04/08/2026: We had a short vacation in Serina, but we were happy with our stay at this hotel, which we highly recommend.
The atmosphere was unique, the rooms and linens were meticulously cleaned.
The owner was helpful, very friendly, and a great person to talk to, along with his mother.
