22/10/2025: A must-see in Selvino. Above 16 degrees Celsius, you can enjoy excellent views. Prices have risen over the years, and the chairlift is perhaps a bit pricey, but it's worth it. Families should try the adventure park.

25/01/2026: We decided to return to Pizzeria La Ruota after a long time because we've always been happy with the quality and menu options. We were seated in a cold dining room; we mentioned the inconvenience and were informed that they'd turned up the heating (something we hadn't noticed during the two-hour dinner). We asked for a cheese board to share for three people and, after a full 30 minutes, we were served three cheese boards for the modest sum of €9 each, when we only wanted one to share. We also had two plates of gnocchi and a pizza, but only saw it 15 minutes after the gnocchi arrived. The service was truly poor, and we spent the entire dinner wearing jackets. We were very disappointed by the decline of this place, which doesn't invite us back.

26/07/2026: We were there 15 days ago, unfortunately I have to say that we were not satisfied, everything was missing, bread, first courses only two portions we settled for the veal with tuna sauce, normal polenta because the taragna ran out etc etc. I must say that it was midday and there were not many people yet so you judge for yourself.

22/02/2026: I stayed this weekend at the end of February, taking advantage of the gorgeous weather for hiking and taking advantage of a Smartbox worth €60. I'm writing this review because I don't understand the frustrated people complaining about the €20 supplement per person: just do the math and you'll see that a property like this charges at least €80-90 per night for the overnight stay alone. I think it's pretty pointless to argue about the supplement, especially since otherwise, instead of giving them away, you could just buy Smartboxes for yourself instead of booking on Booking.com or other portals. We were offered an additional €66 per couple for a full dinner and breakfast, but we had already made other plans for the weekend and didn't take advantage of it. The menu, the photos, and the aromas were very inviting, however, and the fact that the room was almost full for both dinner and breakfast confirms this, thanks in part to the central location in Selvino, halfway along the main street.

25/11/2025: A beautiful village nestled in the Bergamo hills. Small and well-organized, the fact that it had snowed the day before made the atmosphere even more Christmassy. The hotel is beautiful and well-designed, located in an excellent location, and well-maintained. The spa is just the right size for relaxing. The sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation bath, and shower are all perfectly placed, as are the outdoor hot tub and sauna, which offer a stunning view and total privacy. The owners are very kind and helpful. Tamara and Diego clearly care deeply about what they do and believe in their guests' well-being. The food is also excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape the daily grind.

10/08/2026: A true monument to rudeness and disorganization. Stopping by on a Thursday, market day, means finding yourself faced with signs that are laughable, not to mention shamelessly warning that coffee at the counter is served "only to street vendors." In practice, if you're a passing tourist, your presence is unwelcome and you're treated with obvious annoyance by rude and completely inadequate staff (see attached photo!) Crowding this total lack of hospitality is the embarrassing attention to the place: dirty windows, minimal hygiene, and a general atmosphere of neglect and total disorganization. Rather than leave them even a single euro, it's better to move on. Embarrassing, to be polite. P.S.: Thanks to Ms. Anastasia for the clarification, which explains a lot. It's still emblematic that the former management is the one who's putting their face forward, and that the NEW management doesn't even have the courage or interest to personally respond to such serious complaints about hygiene and service. Their silence says it all!

09/08/2026: Finally, under new management, Mrs. Gabriella has brought this place to life. As a local, I must say that, unfortunately, under the previous management, especially during the winter months, it was often closed. The new owner is courageously revitalizing it and bringing quality to every aspect. Excellent food, nothing pre-cooked, even handmade, non-industrial first courses. The second courses are also well-prepared, and, if we agree, they offer house specialties. As has happened on more than one occasion, when we're in a group of 30-40 people, namely the group that is part of the "social café," they even accommodate us with the price. It goes without saying that the place is spotless, the kindness and hospitality are paramount, and now so is the skill of the staff after the first year of training. Also, speaking of price, you can enjoy the business lunch during the week at noon, always with a great selection. Therefore, I highly recommend it. Right now, I think it's one of the best places in Selvino in every way. Congratulations to Gabriella and the staff.
