07/08/2024: A wonderful surprise.. discovered by chance and will now always be a point of reference. Valentina's kindness, unique quality of food... you can feel the 0 km, something that you can no longer taste. My 6 and a half year old daughter said: mum when we pay you have to say that everything was delicious and very good... so coming from a little girl it means a lot. Highly recommended.. in addition to feeling at home, I can finally say that I can enjoy genuine products as I once did. Thank you very much and see you soon for sure. A hug Sara Lisa and Marco

11/08/2024: Our first Refugio of the trip and it was indeed a very nice experience. The owner was very friendly, he gave us extras at dinner, and chatted with us about the history of the Refugio and the region, about their home made digestivo, about how they get their supplies and some of the hidden gems of the region. The rooms were clean, the whole cabin was very tidy and neat. Their beer was also amazing, and the views breathtaking.

13/08/2024: Very nice location, relaxing away from the hustle and bustle and the furnace, very good lunch and dinner, typical and generous dishes. You will just need to equip the rooms with blackout curtains and ceiling fans, for example, because it gets a little hot at night.

25/07/2024: Un localo storico di Milano, sono tornata dopo qualche anno e sono rimasta delusa. 1) una cameriera con i capelli sul viso che continuava a soffiarseli via. 2) la stessa cameriera che ritirando i piatti fa cadere (accidentalmente) le posate addosso e mi sono unta la camicia. Ci può stare ma almeno chedere scusa. 3) ho preso i calamari con la caponatina, questa era ghiacciata di frigo. 4) la tagliata e arrivata senza una foglia di insalata/fetta di patata/spicchio di pomodoro, bella stesa sul piatto: un po' triste! 5) i tempi di attesa eterni, siamo arrivate alle 7.45 e non era affollato. In compnso molto molto buona la focaccia che ci hanno offerto. Forse era una giornata no, ci ritornerò per riprovare perchè era un ristorante delizioso

19/08/2024: Eating with a beautiful view of Lake Como and the mountains. We were staying nearby and drove past la Trave upon arrival. The food is of good quality, delicious. The staff speaks English, also a plus. About the food itself: we chose the fish as antipasti. That was delicious. It might be an idea to offer a fish platter with different types of fish from Lake Como to give it a local touch. (that's what we hoped for) Then as a primi piatti the walnut ravioli (ravioli con salsa di noci) and the homemade gnochetti. Top dishes. As a secondi the beef with mushroom and the brasato con polenta. For dessert the tiramisu and the panna cotta. Top quality desserts What was a shame is that we always had to actively ask for a new drink. We walked in ourselves for both the drink with the main course and the starter. We wanted to eat with a full glass instead of an empty glass. In addition, the plastic tables are not pleasant to sit at, you can hardly fit your legs.

16/08/2024: Had lunch on mid-August 2024. The quality of the products is excellent and plentiful. The staff are helpful and kind. Location and pleasant climate...the only flaw is finding the parking...but we will definitely return!!

08/08/2024: Wonderful nostalgic Italian restaurant where you can get really old-fashioned dishes! Here comes the real Italian who eats out. No mass tourism, no snacks, but a nice Italian restaurant. Good food, good dishes and a quiet place to sit.

05/08/2024: The ravioli filled with scampi cream are truly spectacular!! An explosion of authentic and exquisite flavours! The venue is very welcoming and intimate. The staff are friendly, smiling, attentive and helpful. My compliments! I will definitely be back!

30/07/2024: I was alone for lunch. I found very attentive service and very good fish dishes. Simple cuisine, generous portions and fair prices. I recommend taking the fried calamari, cooked very well and not at all greasy

26/07/2024: Thieves,,, nothing but thieves, six first courses, six second courses, six water, four coffees, 33 ml small beer, three grappins offered on the house 👹,,, they said,,, menu of the day a first course six euros,, ,a second seven euros,, two bottles of wine,, poor quality,,,three hundred euros,,, don't go to that place,,,

30/08/2024: The places I like. The place is not huge, it is well looked after and clean and the chairs and rulers are very reminiscent of the taverns of the past. The choice on the menu is not rich and in my opinion this is a good thing firstly because you don't get confused seeing 200 dishes and secondly because if there are only a few dishes to make, they are able to "take care" of them more in the kitchen! However, the menu has sea and land dishes and also a menu for the little ones! Everything was really delicious and I really appreciated the desserts which are not the usual bindi desserts that are now served in 90% of restaurants, the tiramisu and profitterolls were made by them and you could feel it! Even though it was our first time there, we were welcomed as if we were at home and Maurizio, the owner, really treated us like old friends! The environment is really quiet and this allows you to dine and chat peacefully without having to shout to be heard! Maurizio (who also offered us an excellent citron bitters) stopped with us to chat, telling us about all the "theme" evenings they do during the year and I can't wait to participate in the risotto one with ossobuco but in the meantime I look forward to the nearest late summer evening where paella and sangria will be served! TOP!!

Standing out in the varied menu is the beef in oil, an ancient recipe - dating back to the end of the 16th century - not to be missed. Courtesy and friendliness add to Trattoria Speranza that genuine feeling of the past.

08/07/2024: Una tipica trattoria lombarda, con ottimi piatti. Il manzo all'olio è la specialità ma anche i primi sono ottimi, i casoncelli in particolare...che dire: se la volete provare affrettatevi!!!
