09/05/2024: Locale scenografico ma accogliente e intimo. Personale numeroso ed efficiente. Menu ricco e stimolante con ampio spazio alla tradizione. Lista dei vini discreta bene organizzata con ricarichi adeguati. Chef presente anche in sala per consigliare e descrivere i piatti proposti. La zuppetta di astice merita il viaggio. Tortelli di zucca top e risotto con le spugnole ben cucinato. La torta di rose con zabaione e gelato non al livello delle altre portate. Con un vino di medio costo spesi 90 euro. Da provare.

I will miss the kindness of Mr Tano and his staff, the elegance of the room, with its paintings and the round tables in the corners. I will regret his Mantuan cuisine at the highest levels. 29/05/2024: Reading the menu you are initially struck by the high prices, but then they are justified by the attention to every detail and the excellent flavor of each course! Very beautiful plating, very well balanced flavor combinations and excellent dishes. The price includes cover charge, bread (focaccia actually) and water, however many times you need it and this is something that surprised me. We were treated to an appetizer and a dessert with coffee. The place is small and quiet, the waiters are friendly and the climate is very pleasant. Appreciated detail in the bathroom: the presence of sanitary pads; what makes the attention to detail in this place stand out. Advised!

Really good food, attentive and kind service, good choice of wines. Price in line with what we ate and drank. It also has a large outdoor space. Definitely coming back.

16/06/2024: Excellent dishes, ingredients well combined to create a real explosion of flavors in the mouth. A revelation. It's a shame we couldn't have lunch near the windows overlooking the river that flows right next to the restaurant, because it was already full, I recommend booking in advance.

The rooms are welcoming and well-kept and the staff are friendly and helpful. The quality of the dishes is high, both for the palate and the eyes. The presentation of the dishes is excellent. The price is adequate for the quality.

23/04/2024: Nice place, full of history inside, competent owners. Ate very well. I love pumpkin tortelli and they are special. I will definitely return with my family, on a Sunday with a visit to the city of Mantua which is always worth it.

15/07/2024: Il locale, ristrutturato di recente,si trova all'imbocco di un antico ponte sul fiume Oglio da un anno vietato al transito. L'atmosfera rispecchia lo scorrere tranquillo dell'acqua, l'assistente di sala è cordiale e pacata. Il menu è vario con diversi piatti della tradizione mantovana. Io ho preso un fantastico antipasto con giardiniera accompagnato da pane e grissini fatti in casa , mio marito ha optato per i ravioli di zucca anch'essi buonissimi. Ma la vera chicca è stato il pesce gatto fritto, un piatto assai difficile da trovare in altri territori: un'esperienza particolare.Io invece ho preferito i bigoli al torchio con ragù di sarde. Al dolce,pur invitante, abbiamo rinunciato perché le porzioni erano veramente abbondani . Buona la scelta dei vini. Abbiamo scelto un aromatico Lugana.

26/06/2024: Tutto quello che ti aspetti da una trattoria qui lo trovi. Cucina con prodotti genuini e ben fatti. Gli antipasti con i salumi ci sono piaciuti molto, così come i tortelli. Dessert della casa molto buoni. Prezzi onesti. Una bella esperienza.

18/07/2024: This place in the center of Mantua, found somewhat by chance, amazed us with its traditional dishes. We started with a mixed appetizer consisting of: a platter of cured meats accompanied by a very particular homemade sauce, a platter of mixed cheeses with mustard. of apples, a plate of soft polenta with some slices of cotechino and a capon salad with dried grapes and pine nuts, Everything really excellent. We continued with a tasting of drunken risotto made with sausage and cooked with local Lambrusco and with tagliatelle with duck ragout. For the latter a special mention is needed because I had never eaten such good tagliatelle with duck ragout, If I hadn't been full by now I would have happily eaten another plate. To finish they brought us a local liqueur accompanied by the inevitable sbrisolona cake offered by the house. The service was excellent, we will definitely return

20/07/2024: Attirati dal menu interessante decidiamo di pranzare in questo piccolo ristorante. Ci ritroviamo in un ambiente informale e accogliente. La titolare sorridente, brillante e disponibile nelle nostre richieste. Cibo ottimo, misto tra tradizione ed innovazione, con ottime proposte vegane, vegetariane e celiache (cosa assolutamente non scontata). Ci capita poche volte di uscire da un ristorante così soddisfatti, mangiando bene e spendendo il giusto. Prossima visita a Mantova, torneremo sicuramente!

Reservations are recommended, as the place is often fully booked. A la carte menu with Mantua cuisine and also vegetarian dishes. All very good. The pumpkin tortelli are excellent, absolutely worth trying, and the agnoli. Of all desserts, Belgian pudding. Excellent wine selection.
