02/06/2026: Giggetto is undoubtedly one of the most famous restaurants in the area, well-known and consistently well-reviewed. I tried it for the first time and was not disappointed. The location needs no introduction: it's fortunate to be on the lake in a breathtaking setting! Eating al fresco among the trees in the garden overlooking the lake is priceless. The menu is classic, with simple dishes for all tastes (both meat and fish). Everything is well-cooked and the ingredients are top-quality (the sea bream was truly excellent). The service could be improved. We had the fried lake fish, perfect in quantity (in fact, I'd say abundant) and quality! The purgatory beans, baked sea bream with potatoes, and sliced ​​tuna. It definitely deserves its name!!

24/05/2026: Today, I and some friends did the same. Torre Alfina Castle was very beautiful, and lunch was at Capannaccia da Ciccio. Very good dishes and fast service. The wild boar in salsa verde was definitely the most popular, but overall, we had a great time. Ciccio is a true professional and manages all his customers very well. You feel at home, eating in a farmhouse in the middle of the countryside.

16/06/2026: We loved this place and went several times. They have a buffet lunch and amazing pizza! The lunch choices were all really tasty and wholesome. They focus on pizza at night because they are a local favorite and they get busy. Super reasonable. The location is incredible in this medieval village.

10/06/2026: Pizzeria da Gigi stands out as one of the greatest highlights from our trip. There are good - even other great restaurants in Soriano, but Gigi’s is special. As an American looking for local food made with care - this is the peak. The people were so kind, and even shared which dishes were specific to Soriano. If you’re not a local, but want to feel like one stop in. We’ll be going again before we leave.

06/06/2026: A stop worth making! A true trattoria. Authentic food, homemade pasta. Delicious main courses. Reasonable prices. The exterior is very pretty but right next to the road, making it very noisy. The interior is quaint with a magnificent fireplace, so I recommend eating inside. Regarding the noise level, I'm referring to the outdoor seating.

04/04/2026: I've eaten lake fish in Garga, Iseo, Como, Trasimeno... I've never seen such attention to detail in any restaurant, using locally sourced ingredients: the fish is caught by the father, prepared and cooked by the mother, and served by the children. Truly excellent, with decent portions and fair prices. A truly magical place, I hope they never change their formula because this one is a winner. Thank you so much for this experience!

01/01/2026: They have various options depending on how much you want to eat. It's an old-fashioned osteria where you spend practically the same as in the past and perhaps even eat better. The food is good, authentic, and very filling, with reasonable prices and quick, friendly staff. Perhaps one of the 5 stars I've given is the most deserved. 03/06/2026: Excellent restaurant in a small village, very convenient for those passing through Orte who want to stop for a bite. Fantastic location, friendly staff who know how to serve food. We've eaten here twice, and both times confirmed the excellent quality of the dishes. The carbonara-filled ravioli and picanha are definitely a must-try.

18/05/2026: Exceptional swami meat! Florentina was not great. Beautiful decor and kind staff. Minimum meat order was 1kg per meat type, which we did not know before coming to the restaurant. On the pricier side. Dessert was delicious as well!

Excellent service, and they even took off the bill a pappardelle with wild boar that I didn't eat (I reordered another first course). Unfortunately, the meal wasn't good. The owner of our B&B had advised against it, citing a change of management, but having found it in the osteria guide, we decided to try it anyway. We would have done better to listen to him.

05/04/2026: An excellent discovery in the Tuscia area of ​​Viterbo: Il Vecchio Mulino is a typical restaurant where great cuisine and the beauty of the region meet. If you can, book a table on the small terrace: the view of Civita di Bagnoregio and the ravines is simply breathtaking and worth the trip alone. Then the food arrives, and you realize it's not just the location that's special: lamb offal, tagliolini with fresh asparagus and truffle, roast lamb, pici pasta with bacon, pecorino cheese, and cherry tomatoes... all truly excellent. In short, a perfect day. Also noteworthy is the service, very friendly and professional from the moment you book. Places like this don't just happen: it's definitely worth a visit, but book the terrace ahead of time because it's the restaurant's true gem.
