28/03/2024: What a confusing and disappointing experience I had at a restaurant I had enjoyed in the past and looked forward to visiting again, and introducing to my parents. We had booked a table for 9pm and had come a long way to come here. We arrived at 8.45pm and ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizers arrived, and we ordered first and second courses. The starters were good, although not as good as previously, and everything was fine except that our red wine had been forgotten. But then: after finishing the starters, the waitress informed us that the kitchen was closed and the food we ordered would not arrive! We were told we could still order a pizza if we rushed, and we reluctantly did so knowing we couldn't find anywhere else in time to order, and we were hungry. The pizza wasn't as good as before, bland in some places and too salty in others, but really, that's not the point here. We booked a table, arrived on time, and placed our orders. At no point were we told that we would have to order quickly because the kitchen was about to close, otherwise we certainly would have done so. How can we then suddenly be informed that the kitchen is closed when we are halfway through the meal! This is incomprehensible. I could see that our waitress was very upset with how things had turned out, and I feel sorry for her. However, an apology and compensation from management would have been the right thing here, and neither was offered. After trying to negotiate the price, we decided instead to pay the bill in full and never return. The appetizers were good, even if not as good as previously, and all was good except our red wine had been forgotten. But then: after we had finished with the starters, the waitress informed us the kitchen was closed, and the food we had ordered would not arrive! We were told we could still order pizza if we were hurried, and we reluctantly did so as we knew we couldn't get anywhere else in time to order, and we were hungry. At no point were we told that we should order quickly as the kitchen as about to close, or we would certainly have done so. 04/04/2024: A perfect restaurant for truckers just at the motorway exit, but you don't have to ask to take a shower, it's 2024 and they practically offer you a hovel to wash yourself, for €2.50, and it's really an offense to the dignity of the person, a small investment would be enough, with a price certainly not €2.50, with such a strategic point it would be paid for in a short time, and they would offer a nice service. NB of course this is my thought, bye
