08/02/2026: Rude I won't comment on the food, which I presume is excellent. Two of us showed up with a baby a few months old, and we were told to wait, saying a table would be free in half an hour. We returned after a while and were told that the people at the table had already reached their second table. So we waited outside for another twenty minutes, asked for an update, and were told they were at the cafe. After another fifteen minutes, the waitress came out and told us, verbatim, that she was sorry, but the gentlemen had no intention of leaving the table, so they wouldn't let us sit. Something like this had never happened to us in over 15 years of frequent restaurant visits around the world. We're not that bad; let us know why you didn't want us.

The location is breathtaking, nestled between the Rocca dei Borgia and the Cavaterra waterfall. What sets this restaurant apart is the meticulous attention to detail in pairing food and wine. It's clear that each dish hasn't just been prepared, but also carefully crafted for its accompanying glass, creating a harmonious dialogue that enhances the nuances of both. Special praise goes to the Chef: her hand is masterful. Her ability to balance complex flavors with such elegance and attention to detail is rare. Each course tells a story of passion, impeccable technique, and respect for the ingredients; you can clearly sense the love she puts into every single creation that emerges from her kitchen. Completing this picture of excellence is the owner, who expertly and graciously oversees the wine service. His selection is of the highest quality, and his passion for explaining the wines—explaining their origins and the rationale behind each specific pairing—transforms a simple dinner into a true lesson in style and wine culture. Thank you for providing my evening with such a high level of care and hospitality. It's rare to find such a perfect marriage between the kitchen and the dining room: I'll definitely be back.

19/04/2026: We started with a truly noteworthy first course: Pici all'amatriciana with pecorino cheese. The pasta had just the right texture and the sauce was rich and flavorful, with the local pecorino cheese adding that extra touch of character. But the real surprise was the dessert: chestnuts boiled in rum and cream. A perfect tribute to the fruits of the Cimini Mountains; the natural sweetness of the chestnuts paired divinely with the strong note of the rum and the softness of the fresh cream. A balanced and unpredictable combination. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, making the lunch even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money. If you pass through Caprarola, this is a must-see gastronomic stop!

31/01/2026: A little gem overlooking the Calanchi. Very good food, spotless bathrooms, and truly friendly, unobtrusive staff. I recommend the ribollita, roast potatoes, and beans alla Bagnorese. The local wines are definitely worth trying. See you soon for dessert!

27/04/2026: As always, a delightful stop, where the food is truly excellent: authentic, carefully crafted, and flavorful dishes. All this is accompanied by great professionalism, courtesy, and—not least—a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Don't miss the bruschetta with caper pesto and the pasta with nettles: simply excellent.

12/03/2026: A very unique venue nestled between the cave and the tuff rock, very welcoming and with a very pleasant furnishing style. You dine in a lovely, tranquil atmosphere with light background music that cheers up the evening. The gourmet dishes are of excellent quality. Of course, the price is noticeable, but it is money well spent....

11/04/2026: Before we were seated, the waitress consulted with the chef and informed us that we might have to expect a slightly longer wait. In fact, our dinner stretched to three hours – but we did get four courses plus an amuse-bouche. Both the kitchen and the front of house were staffed by only one person – while this wasn't noticeable in the quality of the food, it was evident in the wait time and the waitress's apparent stress level. Overall, however, it was one of the best culinary experiences we had during our two-week road trip.
