17/11/2025: We were there yesterday, Sunday lunchtime, four of us: a wonderful experience, worth repeating. The dishes were all excellent, from appetizers to dessert. The staff were friendly, fast, and discreet. The atmosphere was quiet, thanks in part to the warm, soft lighting and the wood-burning stove (we were seated near it). The desserts are all homemade, and the ingredients are local. Highly recommended.

28/09/2025: My partner and I spent two nights in Viterbo. It was right across the street from our vacation rental, and we decided to have a few wines. The next morning, we had breakfast there, and in the afternoon, when they had a wine tasting with great music, we went back again. The owners are lovely and treated us wonderfully. The atmosphere was very pleasant and friendly. If we return to Viterbo, we will definitely come back.

22/11/2025: The restaurant has been completely renovated inside! You can eat outside on the terrace, a real treat! The pizza is amazing! Roman-style pizza is a real treat. I've been there many times, and it's definitely worth coming to Sipicciano just to spend an evening at the Scalette!

07/02/2026: I was invited to lunch at this restaurant, having been told days in advance that I was celiac. They mistakenly served me a gluten-containing entree. I ate it, and they only realized it later. Unacceptable. I do not recommend it for those with intolerances.

16/10/2025: We're a group of Spaniards in Tuscania. We've been to several different places, and they've all been really nice except for this one. First of all, due to the language barrier, they brought us a pizza board that we NEVER ordered (she tried to give us the leftovers). She told us she only had that, and when we told her we wanted something else, she said goodbye. Once we paid for the drink, we were about to leave, and the owner said she'd made us a whole pizza (it had a tomato-based crust, nothing else, and again, WE NEVER ORDERED THAT), and she ended by saying that we should be Spanish and go back to our own country. The rest of the waiters were very nice. The owner was unpleasant and xenophobic. EDIT: I'm editing the review so I can respond to the owner. We arrived at 8:50 p.m., when the place, on Google, says it's open until 11:00 p.m. on Sunday. If you want to close early, it's not your customers' problem, as they arrived more than two hours early. If not, change the hours you listed on Google. Secondly, we NEVER got around to ordering ANYTHING. You brought us the leftovers you had, and when we paid for our drinks because you kicked us out for not wanting the leftovers, you said as we were leaving that you were making another pizza we DIDN'T ORDER. A pizza that was on the counter and was just dough and tomato, nothing else. At least you're not denying that you're a xenophobe who told us to go back to our country; that does you credit. I repeat: If you're coming from outside, don't visit this place. There are many others where you'll be treated with love and respect, and where you'll eat incredibly well.

12/10/2025: Terrible service. He tried to give us what he had left without warning us or even asking. After telling us we didn't want that, he treated us rudely and told us to pay. We left without dinner and with a very bad taste in our mouths. Disgraceful.

06/03/2026: The beauty of the place and the kindness of the staff don't, in my opinion, match the food. Given the area, we ordered mixed grill, fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, and polenta. The grill, especially the bottom, was completely burned and nothing special; the fettuccine was tasteless, and the polenta was average. I expected much more.

08/12/2025: One star is too many. I don't understand how they have all these positive reviews. Lunch for two: we ordered two first courses, one of which is pictured to show the gnocchi floating in oil. The fettuccine was cold and broken into pieces with two spoonfuls of sauce poured over it, with very fatty guanciale. A side of porcini mushrooms and potatoes, which were also floating in oil and soaked in it, was delicious. The two tomato bruschettas to start, a complimentary dish on the house, were delicious, except that when it came to the bill, the side of mushrooms and potatoes, which were originally listed at €10, was marked down to €20, a price cut amid much controversy. At checkout, there was terrible confusion and a hostile and surly attitude that made us never return.

23/02/2026: Pizzeria and restaurant located in the main square of the village of San Martino al Cimino. A welcoming location, it offers pizza and good food made with local ingredients. Friendly staff, moderate prices. A bit noisy when busy.
