Old-fashioned osteria. Simple but authentic cuisine.
11/05/2026: We arrived and none of the dishes shown in the Google Maps reviews or the photos displayed outside the restaurant were available. The owner doesn't even give you a menu; he just tells you what pasta and sauces they have. He doesn't speak or understand English, so it's a bit difficult to communicate, but at least he's friendly. It's hard to get his service, though, because he's the only one there. The food is worth it. Generous portions.

28/04/2026: I went to Avalon Pizzeria in Bolsena and had a really good time. I had a calzone, which was very good and well-filled, and I washed it down with a cold beer. The kids also had a great time; the atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly. The service was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a positive experience, we'll be back!

We dined here with two other families (three families with children in total). The welcome was excellent, and the space is suitable for large groups. We focused on the pizzas and were all satisfied: well-cooked and light. We also had several beers and liqueurs. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly. We'll definitely be back!

21/04/2026: Homemade cuisine, good prices, a friendly atmosphere, and the outdoor microclimate of Montalto is always pleasant, even in winter!
24/03/2026: We had some very good pizzas, huge, thin, and with a crispy crust, cooked in a wood-fired oven. The pizzas on the menu can be customized to your liking when ordering. The only problem is that they're so big that by the time you get to the end, they're already cold! Recommended.

26/04/2026: After a morning hike along trail 178-178b-178c from the Borgia Fortress in Nepi to Castel Sant'Elia (Cavaterra waterfall, Fonte del Tasso, Pizzo waterfall, Piccio waterfall, medieval bridge), we rewarded ourselves with lunch at Danilo (thanks to Tommy). The two of us had ravioli cacio e pepe, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, tripe, chicory, Nepi water, and Mottura's Civitella Rosso red wine. Everything was well prepared, with quality ingredients, handmade pasta, friendly service, and a fair bill. €84 (including €32 wine).
We'll be back.
27/02/2026: Excellent burgers with meat seasoned with fennel. Beautiful location at the end of the Sponata piste.

26/04/2026: Good hotel just outside the center, well-kept, with friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, excellent for those who want to explore the surrounding area without entering the historic center
12/12/2025: The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the city center and offers on-site parking. The rooms are nice and offer many amenities: slippers, a needle and thread kit, another kit with a nail file, cotton swabs, and makeup remover pads, coffee pods, a bottle of water, and tea bags. The breakfast is really good! They serve both sweet and savory options, and I really appreciated the manual orange squeezer. The service is good and the price is reasonable. The only downside: the hotel doesn't have a restaurant or bar, and there's not much within walking distance.
I recommend it!

28/09/2025: My partner and I spent two nights in Viterbo. It was right across the street from our vacation rental, and we decided to have a few wines. The next morning, we had breakfast there, and in the afternoon, when they had a wine tasting with great music, we went back again. The owners are lovely and treated us wonderfully. The atmosphere was very pleasant and friendly. If we return to Viterbo, we will definitely come back.

10/05/2026: We went as a family; the location is beautiful, right next to the lake, with direct access. We had a first course, second course, and dessert. The first courses were very flavorful, and the grilled fish was delicious and well-cooked. The portions were quite generous, and the desserts were also well-proportioned and tasty. The service was perfect, with friendly and discreet waiters, and the dishes didn't take long to arrive.

15/02/2026: A lunch with wine tasting, everything very good, the meat excellent... The starter was very good even if a little too small.
31/01/2026: My partner and I often eat at Casaletto, and every time is a confirmation. The service is always extremely kind and attentive. I've had the pleasure of trying both the first and second courses, as well as the pizza, and... what can I say? Everything is excellent.
The ingredients are homemade, and the pizza dough is truly light (it's no coincidence that it's listed as a three-slice pizzeria by Gambero Rosso).
The desserts are irresistible: even when we're full, we always leave room for something. The chocolate cake and zuppa inglese are tops!
I can't wait to go back.

31/03/2026: I've been there a few times in the past years, this time the food significantly improved. The antipasti was special, the pizza was among the best I've had and the desserts were great. Staff is very friendly, prices are a bit on the higher range for the region but still fine.
