21/09/2025: Drawn by the excellent reviews about the food, I decided to try this trattoria. I arrived and there was no one ready to welcome me. After about ten minutes, a waitress came out of the kitchen. A brunette with plates in hand, I politely asked if it was possible to order takeout. She, very annoyed, replied, "Wait, I have to ask the kitchen," and went to the table to leave the plates for the customers. Immediately afterward, another waitress came out, this time a brunette and even more annoyed than the previous one to see me, still with plates in hand, saying, "Tell me." I, again very politely, asked if it was possible to order takeout. She, walking straight towards the customers' table, said, "No, no, yeah, we're stuck tonight, not tonight," which, for those who don't speak Roman, means that tonight they were full and very busy. All this happened on the way from the kitchen to the outdoor area without either waitress deigning to stop and speak with me for a moment. Let me start by saying that when I arrived, there were three tables outside, two of which were children's and the other perhaps parents'. Yes, there were two more tables that hadn't arrived yet. I understand that it's a trattoria and that the service can be spartan and that the conversation can be very casual, but that doesn't mean the staff should be rude to customers. They didn't even try to ask me what I hypothetically wanted to eat or even suggest quick and easy alternatives to prepare given their busy evening. I arrived there intending to get two lasagnas to go, a dish that I don't think they make on the spot but which simply needs to be reheated. I'm absolutely not criticizing the food because, alas, I didn't have the chance to try it because, as you can imagine, I left without even a goodbye, but the staff absolutely needs changing. You can't work in front of the public and be so rude and surly. I can expect that from a young woman, if that's the case, but not from an adult. In short, change the staff, which, based on other reviews, I'd say isn't exactly excellent in terms of politeness and courtesy. Even the welcome, even though it's in Roman dialect, can be friendly. This, too, is part of the experience and what keeps you coming back, not just the good food. Even if it's just a trattoria.

21/09/2025: Old-fashioned Roman cuisine in a small trattoria tucked away in the heart of Fiumicino. Excellent value for money... and quantity! A la carte menu and daily specials. We ordered a zucchini flower, two supplì, a mezze manica alla carbonara, a handmade tagliolini with cacio e pepe, meatballs in tomato sauce, water, a half liter of wine, and two coffees for a total of €57. We had the pleasure of chatting with the ladies who run the place, who are pleasant and courteous. One of those places that, once discovered, you can't wait to return.

21/10/2025: Nothing to complain about, the dishes and flavors are unique. They fully respect Sicilian cuisine. A very characteristic place. What can I say? #1.

17/09/2025: We had a delicious meal at Quarantuno! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We walked by at 6:00 PM with our two young children, looking for an early dinner. Although they normally don't open until 7:00 PM, they opened an hour early especially for us. And the food was excellent! One of the best dinners we had during our vacation. The combination of their hospitality, the lovely atmosphere, and the high quality of the food makes Quarantuno an absolute must-visit. We will definitely be back when we're in Pietrasanta again!

27/08/2025: We were there last night to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the four-course tasting menu, which certainly exceeded our expectations. The dishes were well-prepared, with innovative and very interesting pairings, and the service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, all in a truly enchanting setting. We greatly appreciated the service, which was able to advise and guide us through the selection of an excellent wine and a few treats to celebrate the occasion.

18/08/2025: We stopped for a pizza by the slice. They use delicious DiMarco flour, crispy, and top-quality ingredients. Absolutely worth trying!

17/08/2025: I've never had such a seafood salad and grilled meat!!!! The Sugherino appetizer is highly recommended!!! Max and Marco, the guys who run it, are incredibly kind. After our first experience a week ago, we've already been back a second time and were once again very satisfied!

19/10/2025: I'm returning to this place after two years, and unfortunately I have to say that today's experience was worse than the last time... First of all, the staff was kind, but disorganized and inattentive: we had to remind them of several things, such as changing empty water bottles, providing glasses for the sparkling wine toast, and, since it was a birthday and they knew about it, especially the writing on the cake... I've never seen a birthday cake served without a writing... a terrible impression (later, at our request, they put a "handmade" Nutella writing on it, even worse than the plain cake). It's also absurd that we had ordered vegan desserts to be served at the same time as the cake, and magic... they were brought from outside, complete with a bag, 10 minutes after the cake was served, obviously at our request: clearly forgotten and purchased on the spot somewhere... The food was average, and the music was too loud to allow for quiet conversation between diners.

18/10/2025: A very nice and well-kept place. We really appreciated the oval table, which allowed us to enjoy the evening even though there were only five of us. Delicious pizza, top-notch fries. Really well done!

24/08/2025: What a wonderful change of pace after a long trip through Italy. A great selection, especially for vegetarians and children: wholesome, handmade, modular, practical, and delicious. And an extensive international beer and aperitivo menu. You sit comfortably in a courtyard enclosed on three sides, which opens onto a quiet parking lot—how beautiful would the world be without cars! The music is good, but could be a bit quieter. The fries are fried in fresh oil at a good temperature; an all-around great place with friendly people.

14/10/2025: We went for a meal about a week ago, based on the reviews, and we had high expectations, but it wasn't like that. There were 5 of us, and we ordered an appetizer (a platter of cured meats to carve, bland eggplant with peppers, and 5 pieces of cheese with the very good prosciutto). The bread was definitely from the day before, it wasn't fresh. The first courses arrived, excellent ravioli, nothing to complain about, but unfortunately the spelt sagne sauce was undercooked and ruined the dish. The amatriciana was good, even if the pasta was a little undercooked, but the lamb wasn't up to par. Fat everywhere, not enough meat, and very greasy. The desserts were nothing special, the king's salami was unimaginable, and the mimosa cake was very sweet. We were a little disappointed, as we had high expectations. The staff is friendly, and the price is fair. The limited variety of dishes leads you to choose the "least bad." There was one thing that is still not clear: we had asked for something light for the second course but we were offered sausages, lamb or scamorza with ham when we saw scallops with potatoes in the other dishes... The house wine was not good and unfortunately we will not return.

28/09/2025: Finally, for a traditional osteria, you have to leave Rome. The menu is varied and fixed price. Appetizer + first course, wine, and water = 25 Appetizer + second course, wine, and water = 25 Appetizer, first course, and second course + side dish = 30 The menu is typical of an osteria. Don't expect anything gourmet. I highly recommend it!

29/09/2025: A historic pastry shop in Trastevere that retains all its old-world charm. We tried the Sachertorte with cream: a generous slice and truly delicious. A must-try for quality sweet treats in Rome.

12/10/2025: Very relaxing atmosphere, top-quality dishes, well-cooked and never boring. The best thing is the option to choose between a tasting, at half price, or a full portion. So I was able to try several dishes, each one better than the last. The staff was kind and attentive. The tiramisu was spectacular. I will definitely be back.
