05/05/2026: A friend and I went to a pizza and foccacia making class one afternoon. The experience was wonderful and so much fun. I truly learned how to make them both. They provided unlimited wine of our choosing while we were in the class. The instructor did not speak English so another employee was with there to interpret everything. We were able to eat everything we made after with wine which was delicious. I think this would be fun for older children (9 and up) to participate in also. Another day we were bike riding and went there for lunch. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious … you truly taste the freshness of the farm to table experience. They had a tour group booked for olive oil and wine tasting so they were very busy accommodating the tour group and private diners . Did not matter to us ….the surroundings provide a beautiful view. We just relaxed and enjoyed the authentic Italian experience. Thank you for 2 amazing experiences!

11/06/2026: This very special place hosted our 50th wedding anniversary in May. Our guests stayed in their comfortable authentic rooms and the Locanda provided both wonderful tuscan food and drink multiple times over a 4 day celebratory period. Nothing was too much trouble The Maccari's are a wonderful welcoming family skilled in both culinary and customer service The locanda is spotlessly clean, provides exemplary service and welcomes guests from all over the world alongside locals. Their traditional tuscan fare is cooked to the highest standard. The stand out dishes for us are the burrato with anchovie topping, pici al ragu and the sliced beef with various accompaniments. The wines are wonderful You need not go further than the house red which is an excellent rosso di montalcino. We have just read negative reviews with incredulity. Nothing could be further from the truth as far as our experience from multiple visits to the Locanda in Castelmuzio.

04/06/2026: A very positive experience in a lovely restaurant with excellent food. The fried octopus and spaghetti with octopus were delicious, as was the pizza with caramelized onions. The caramel and mango cream sauce was excellent. Kudos to the kitchen and the professionalism of the service... Everyone was capable and professional. A warm thank you to the owner, who showed us his courtesy and attention. Recommended.

29/05/2026: Worth a Michelin star!. We even made a detour to dine again the next day. The owner/manager fitted us in as the restaurant was fully booked. Food was superb ,so was the service and the owner discussed our order to change it to our requirements. It made our trip through Tuscany unforgettable. Nick & Leonie Adelaide, Australia

17/04/2026: What an amazing experience. Welcoming owners in a cozy ambiance and the food was delicious. I suggest you share the charcuterie for one as it was enough for 4 people to enjoy with a lovely selection of pecorino cheeses and meats. I enjoyed my vegetable and bread soup and spinach.

31/05/2026: We stopped here for lunch during the Eroica on our motorbike tour. Even though we hadn't booked, the owner was incredibly kind and welcomed us even though the place was packed. The view is incredible. I recommend enjoying a glass of Brunello with cured meats and cheeses—everything is delicious! Highly recommended!

07/06/2026: Lovely restaurant! We were surprised by the high-quality of the food and the wonderful plating- not what I was expecting from a small town restaurant. Very reasonably priced for what you got. I would go out of my way to come back. The wine was incredibly reasonable.

29/05/2026: Since we were staying at the hotel next door for two nights, we booked a table for the first evening. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day. The food is excellent, the wine too, the view is lovely, the prices are reasonable, and the waitress Amalia is delightful. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

25/05/2026: Da Nisio has really good food, antipasti, pasta, and desserts were genuinely excellent, and the spritz was a proper spritz, the kind you actually want in Italy. We tried a secondo with wild boar, and while the flavor was great, the meat was a bit chewy for our taste. Service is the biggest improvement point here, it was not the warmest, and the pacing was all over the place, our main came basically right after the antipasti, and before we had even had the chance to order wine (which we had to chase for). Then later, once they got busy, everything slowed down a lot, especially ordering dessert and getting the bill. When the place is full it gets noisy, but it is well decorated, prices are ok, and honestly we would still recommend it for the food.

11/12/2025: A pleasant place, the owner is friendly and helpful, the wine is good, and the prices are fair. It has very convenient private parking and is easy to get to. The only flaw: my Chianti stew wasn't good. The cut of meat was probably not exceptional, which is a shame, because the sauce was excellent. The first courses and appetizers are good. The local pecorino croquettes are worth trying. Prices are fair and the portions are generous. The wines are mostly their own, good, and competitively priced. Definitely worth trying again.

15/04/2026: I went to eat at this restaurant on the recommendation of local friends and based on the positive reviews (4.4 stars), but honestly, I can't understand how anyone could like such a place. I'm from Naples, so I'm used to a whole different level of cuisine, but here it's not just about taste: the quality of the products and the condition of the place were truly disappointing. The restaurant was packed despite it being a Tuesday night, but I had a terrible impression from the moment I entered: the place was tiny, tables were packed tightly together, and the smell of food lingered (I left with smelly clothes). There was also a cat at the entrance, which immediately made me consider leaving, but unfortunately it was already 10:00 PM. The place overall seemed unclean and neglected: old and dirty doors, and a single bathroom for men, women, and disabled people, with a decent but barely functioning sink. As for the food, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The appetizer of cured meats, which were supposed to be Tuscan, was absolutely subpar, the portions very small, and above all, unpleasant. The sliced ​​beef, which should be a highlight in Tuscany, was completely tasteless and served very raw, even though I'd asked for it to be medium rare: it wasn't even rare, but practically raw. The side dish (caponata) was also truly awful; I left it all on my plate and even mentioned it. I also left the meat and didn't even ask for it to be cooked more; I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. The wine (a €22 Chianti) only made the experience worse. I didn't order dessert, coffee, or liqueur. In conclusion, the place is small, not very clean, and the food is very low quality. I don't understand how it gets all these positive reviews: if it were possible, I'd give it zero stars instead of one.

14/04/2026: Antica Osteria di Bazzino is a true gem located at Via Giovanni Montorsoli, 63, in Poggibonsi. This quaint restaurant manages to convey the authentic atmosphere of Tuscan tradition, with its walls adorned with old photographs that tell the story of the city. As soon as you enter, you sense a warm welcome and attention to detail that make the dining experience special. Service was surprisingly quick, allowing us to enjoy our dishes without long waits, which is always a plus. As for the food, the fillets with porcini mushrooms and vinegar were a true masterpiece. They were cooked perfectly: tender and flavorful, each bite melted in your mouth, enhanced by a wonderful combination of flavors. We paired our meal with a glass of house wine, which proved to be an excellent pairing, further enriching the dining experience. In short, Antica Osteria di Bazzino is a place where Tuscan culinary tradition blends with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area who wants to enjoy a good meal in a charming setting.

A special location, a village on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and Lazio, and the chef was on top of his game like never before in showcasing the local ingredients. The tasting was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish had something unique to offer, even the smallest bite. I would have said it was impossible to rank in order of goodness, because the extremely high quality of the suckling pig, the sea bass, and the scampi were all on par. But alas, all the courses had to capitulate in the face of the foie gras, an absolute masterpiece, an explosion of flavors, textures, and even temperatures, sublime, enhanced by the stellar pairing of the white wine we were offered... When you leave, the only thought is what the autumn menu will be like. Many thanks to the chef, the sommelier, and the entire team, young but truly knowledgeable, unobtrusive yet always present...
