19/12/2025: Perhaps the best hidden jem in Siena. We wanted some seafood and trust me, this is the place for seafood! Just 3-5 minutes from the main square, this place surprises with its creativity (pumpkin pie with mushrooms as an antipasto) and knocks you out with it's delicious seafood! Great service as well and English is spoken. One of the best in Siena!

13/11/2025: This place was so lovely! It’s a family run restaurant and hotel and we immediately felt welcomed by their warm greetings and service. The food was excellent. I forgot to take a picture but the chicken was so tender and perfectly seasoned and the gnocchi and roasted vegetables were cooked perfectly. It’s only steps away from Piazza del Campo and in a beautiful area. Highly recommend!

02/11/2025: We only went to the restaurant for lunch; the food was excellent. We ordered the carbonara, and it was one of the tastiest dishes. The place has personality and tradition, which makes the experience more immersive. 10 euros per dish in Oct/25.

28/12/2025: I visited this place with my 9-year-old son in the fall. I'm finally leaving a comment. There are quite a few rooms and the grounds are spacious, and the owners seem to be diligently maintaining the place, keeping it clean and well-organized. The food was especially delicious, and the owners were proud of it. It's a farmhouse, so it's located on a very rural road, but access to Tuscan cities famous for their wine, like Siena and Montalcino, is not bad. However, you'll need a car. We had trouble with our rental car, so we took a bus to the nearby towns. The buses were few and far between each day, and it was a 30-minute walk to the bus stop, so I wouldn't recommend it. The bus schedule at the bus stop was pretty accurate. I'd love to go back again when the area is greener or when you can enjoy the pool. Thank you for giving me a ride to the train station when I checked out. Hope to see you again.

31/10/2025: The shop is small but stocked with tons of wonderful Sicilian desserts. They even make the 7 veli (literally, "seven veils"), which takes you to heaven. The cassata is delicious and has a well-balanced sugar content, never cloying. The cannoli are filled fresh, as is traditional, with pistachio or other flavors. They also have delicious arancini. And then there's more, like jars of sauce for pasta with sardines. It's small, but it takes you back to authentic Sicily. A lovely surprise in the city of Siena. And truly excellent products.

22/10/2025: I have been cannoli hunting and these are some of the best I’ve found so far! We won’t have time to go all the way to Sicily this trip, but we sure got a taste of it. The lady at the counter was so sweet and let me stumble through my attempt at ordering in Italian despite my awfully-English pronunciation. She gave them to me wrapped up so cute. I also got an arancina to try for the first time- great first impression!

14/10/2025: We wandered in by chance but were immediately struck by the beauty of the wine bar, which was converted from a cellar. It was truly charming. The crostini were one better than the last, excellent cured meats, and excellent wine! The sommelier, truly kind and knowledgeable, recommended and explained every tasting. The local products from small, truly delicious wineries were delicious. It's impossible to leave without a bottle of Montepulciano red! Definitely not to be missed!

27/09/2025: Strolling along Montepulciano's main street, past the windows of artisans, painters, wine shops, restaurants, churches, museums, and exhibitions, while waiting to return to Genoa, drawn by a beautifully furnished wine tasting shop, we were greeted with elegance, professionalism, and empathy by a lady whose kindness and beauty immediately made us understand that this would be a wonderful experience. And so it was, and will remain a fond memory of this brief stop in a splendid Tuscan town. To begin, we enjoyed two glasses of wine, a white and a rosé, both fantastic. A selection of platters, carefully arranged by the lady, included excellent cheeses, cured meats, and a historic giardiniera. Then, a taste of a wonderful historic wine, Grono di Pierino Farina, a delightful aroma and flavor that satisfies the palate and leaves the mouth full of flavor. The lady spoiled us with her helpfulness and knowledge. We were truly satisfied and delighted to have spent so pleasantly part of our short stay in Montepulciano in this characteristic establishment.

17/10/2025: While riding my motorcycle along the Eroica dirt roads, I stumbled upon this fantastic hotel/restaurant. It's a family-run hotel, and I was struck by the kindness and helpfulness of the owners and staff. The service was impeccable, with garage parking for motorcycles and bicycles. The room was cozy and, despite facing the street, very quiet. The bathroom was tidy and everything was spotlessly clean. I also had the pleasure of trying their simple yet delicious cuisine. The crostoni were excellent, and the tripe, made according to grandma's recipe, was fantastic, all washed down with a nice glass of Montalcino red. The breakfast, with both sweet and savory options, was also excellent. What more can I say? If I were to pass through the area again, I would definitely stay here. Excellent value for money. Best wishes to the owner, a motorcyclist whose name I don't remember, for her trip to Mont Saint Michel, although given the weather, I'd recommend postponing your stay.

12/10/2025: Everything was perfect, the room was perhaps a little dark with artificial lighting (the bedroom), the bathroom was fine. Everything you need was there, the cleanliness was top-notch, and the garage was closed for motorcyclists. The dinner was perfect... the chatter at the bar and the selection of whiskeys and rums were top-notch. The owner is a woman to be admired.

15/02/2026: A restaurant where hospitality and kindness truly take center stage. The quality of the food is unquestionable: excellent ingredients, carefully prepared dishes, and simply top-notch pizza. I was pleasantly surprised by their homemade tiramisu, completely gluten-free: a real surprise! The cream was exquisite, delicate, and perfectly balanced. A MUST TRY 😉 My sincerest compliments to the entire staff for the professionalism and passion evident in every detail.

26/11/2025: A true old-school trattoria in the center of Asciano where substance is valued over aesthetics! It's actually called "the village restaurant." The pizza menu is truly extensive: red, white, calzone, pinsa; the meat dishes are also tempting. We shared a pappa con burrata, truly delicious and creamy. Then we tried a pinsa and a pizza: in my opinion, the pinsa dough was far superior, while my husband preferred the pizza with its nice thin crust, which is hard to find these days! We finished with cantucci and vinsanto, a classic you can never go wrong, and a tiramisu with cantucci and vinsanto, truly delicious, with just the right amount of alcohol, a good cream, and garnished with almonds and caramel! We drank three red beers on tap. I'm talking about a bill outside of any market, only €50!!! (I should point out that we had a small discount due to the agreement with our accommodation in the city) but even if it had been €10 more it would have been way below average these days!

08/01/2026: Without a doubt, one of the best pizzerias in Siena, with gluten-free options available. The homemade pizza dough is delicious. Service is quick, despite the attention paid to every order and the large crowd. I recommend it.

23/12/2025: Hands down, my favorite place. Gluten-free pizza is truly PIZZA, and, at least in Siena, that doesn't happen often. They have tons of delicious gluten-free options, and my friends have always loved the gluten-free pizza, too. Plus, the staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. 🥰 Unfortunately, when the place is particularly busy, you have to wait a little longer, but it's absolutely worth it!

11/01/2026: Lovely, cozy restaurant with delicious seasonal dishes and a very curated selection of wines for all budgets. The prices are higher than your usual Osteria, but so is the quality and the impeccable service. Congratulations, you have found a jewel!

03/01/2026: We went here whilst we were staying in Siena an we enjoyed it a lot ! The fegatini with brioche bread was so delicious and the roasted tongue was really soft and buttery. I absolutely recommend trying the chocolate lava cake which is so decadent ! The crema catalana is also really good and the food is also quite traditional. Service is really good and the atmosphere is cozy and enjoyable! Slightly on the pricier side but I recommend to stop there whilst your in Siena.Remember to reserve !
