04/05/2026: We have had a lot of great meals on this trip, but none surpassed our dinner here. The gorgeous patio was a quiet and sophisticated backdrop for exceptional boar ragu, pork ribs that (literally) stunned us, and fabulous dessert. The local vernaccia wine was a great compliment and they gave us an adorable little parting gift for tomorrow. I wish I could come back again and again. On our next trip to Tuscany it will be the first reservation we make.

20/04/2026: The guy who owns this place is super super nice and the meats and cheese he curates are top notch. His wines are also fantastic, we ended up returning to the shop after having lunch there to buy a few wines from his stock! Highly recommend.

Such a high standard is difficult to describe in words: simply spectacular in every way. If I could give more than 5 stars, I'd give it 100 without a second thought. A sensational, unforgettable and practically perfect experience.

07/05/2026: I've never eaten such a bad pizza in my entire life! NEVER! The first pizza was burnt and tasteless, the second wasn't burnt but still just as bad. I strongly advise against going there. I expressed my feelings to the waitress who was apologetic. I was dismayed to have to pay for what we were served! A disgrace!

17/05/2026: We went to Osteria del Carcere for lunch with a group of friends. Knowing that the restaurant is small and intimate, and since there were six of us, we preferred to book in advance, a very good choice. The place is truly beautiful and charming, conveniently located just steps from the splendid Piazza della Cisterna in the heart of San Gimignano. The atmosphere immediately immerses you in the perfect Tuscan atmosphere. The welcome was fantastic. The owner greeted us and was immediately delightful, putting us at ease with a smile and great cordiality. As for the food, the menu offers an authentic experience of typical Tuscan cuisine. We focused on their signature dishes and were thrilled: the soups and crostoni were simply excellent, flavorful, and made with authentic ingredients. Last but not least: the bill. When it came time to pay, we had a wonderful surprise: we spent significantly less than we expected. A truly excellent value. A genuine, pleasant, and tasty experience. Highly recommended to anyone passing through!

Highly recommended, even for locals. PS: The house wine, even the Riserva version, isn't the best, although it's attractively priced.

24/01/2026: This ravioli place is amazing ㅠㅠ The wild boar ragu was a bit dry, but I understood and ate it because they said it was an authentic dish ㅎㅎ The staff were all friendly and the atmosphere was great! There are also a lot of locals!!

24/04/2026: The absolute hands down perfecto panini sandwich in all of Italy! The bread was toasty crunchy on the outside, with a light & dough inside. I ordered the IL Magnifico with Tuscan pepperoni, mozzarella & Rocky salad greens making a tasty, satisfying mid-day meal. Paired with a frosty cold Birra Moretti beer. Lastly, when capped with a coffee flavored gelato from Gelatoria Dondoli — “This must be heaven!”

The ambiance is dreamy, the seating is incredibly comfortable, and the service is attentive and warm. Highly recommended – a must-visit if you're in the area!

09/04/2026: Charming spot with excellent service. The local Chianina beef was delicious, and I loved having an option that let me taste it without committing to the full ribeye. The setup created a warm, welcoming feel with wonderful views, and the local Tuscan dishes were delicious and rounded out the experience beautifully.
