21/10/2025: If you are driving in Italy you can't go wrong with Si Montalcino Hotel. Clean, well kept with a very friendly staff. great parking that is close to the hotels lobby. It's only 5 minutes away from Montalcino which is a nice place to visit.

01/01/2026: In the magical village of Volpaia, the Osteria offers a refined and elegant atmosphere, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and dishes that showcase local ingredients with a delicately exotic touch that will surprise you. 29/12/2025: Highly recommended. The dishes are exceptional, and you can immediately see the attention to detail (as well as a lot of passion). Bonus: pet-friendly! Our dog, Barolo, was treated like a true prince. If you can, stop by and try the pumpkin buttons!

11/02/2026: I had lunch with two colleagues at this tavern on the recommendation of a friend, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The place is truly beautiful and welcoming. The lunch was excellent, featuring typical dishes I'd never tried before. Everything was delicious, and you can tell the quality and attention to detail in the dishes. The owners, Marco and Lorella, welcomed us warmly and kindly and recommended their best dishes. The gnocchi with pecorino cheese and fresh truffle and the pici with wild boar and porcini mushrooms were especially noteworthy. They're definitely worth a try! I'll definitely be back.

11/02/2026: Negative: The quality and portions are overrated for the final price. I don't recommend the pork chops: €21 for five chops (100 grams of meat in total), tasteless, accompanied by four pieces of raw potatoes. Positive: A vast selection of wines, a charming location, excellent service, especially the friendliness of the waiter Francesco.

01/11/2025: The restaurant is located in the center of Castellina in Chianti, making it easy to get to from wherever you parked. It's a busy area, so it's not the right place for those seeking tranquility. The food is very good and excellent value. The menu varies based on the season and the availability of fresh ingredients. Excellent service (with room for improvement due to the young staff; there's always time), a great atmosphere, and a wide selection of wines. Thank you.

26/10/2025: Excellent porcini mushrooms steak, superb wine list with top-quality wines and sparkling wines. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff is attentive and ready to make you feel at home. I recommend it and will definitely return. Well done!

06/01/2026: We went to this restaurant for New Year's Eve dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the menu, which was truly spectacular! We were enchanted by the appetizers right from the start, but when they served us the ramen, we thought it couldn't get any better. Instead, the tortelli exceeded all expectations. The wine pairing was also very well received, especially the red "Le Cupole"! The service was impeccable. Usually at New Year's Eve dinners, the food and service are on the "lower end" despite the high prices, but in this case, the cost was absolutely worth it! I highly recommend it.

31/12/2025: Ristorante da Ciacco is truly an excellent restaurant. It seamlessly combines friendly service, lovely atmosphere and amazing food. One can choose to sit either in the comfortable inside area or outside. If you choose the latter, your experience will only be magnified. Sitting outside is surreal....you are virtually next to a 500 year-old church in a beautiful medieval village. Tuscan dishes are generally simple....characterized by locally sourced foods, the freshest ingredients and presented in a non-fussy way. Ciacco is different. The creativity and presentation of the food is truly amazing and the dishes are some of the best I have ever had....Tuscan or otherwise. I’d mention the Tonno (tuna) I had or the risotto, but chances are great that they may not be available the following day as the menu changes constantly, depending on what the cook may have found that day at the market. Ciacco is known in the area for having fish on their menu....something not typical in this area of Tuscany. I have had numerous fish dishes at Ciacco over the years and they have always been fantastic. I always seem to leave the restaurant in amazement as to how spectacular the meal was.....a meal easily on par with the best meals I’ve had at some of Europe best restaurants. In short: if the opportunity should ever present itself, do yourself a favor and stop by beautiful San Quirico d’Orcia and eat at Ristorante da Ciacco!

23/12/2025: A must-visit destination for travelers, lovers of good food, and, above all, great wine in Radda in Chianti. Riccardo Porciatti and his staff are a testament to hospitality, professionalism, and expertise: they showcase a top-quality selection, ranging from local Chianti Classico to the great Piedmontese labels, not to mention top names from Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Champagne. A must-visit for anyone who wants to experience Chianti with a glass to match.

20/12/2025: Had a lovely lunch here today. Food and service were top notch. Excellent selection of local wines. Purchased a few bottles to take home as well. Forgot to take pictures of the restaurant so enjoy pictures of the countryside around Radda :-)

28/10/2025: We were mostly very disappointed, almost angry. The price is absolutely unjustified. There was mold in the shower, the beds were worn out and hard. The Wi-Fi was unusable (9 Mbps download, 0.1 Mbps upload). The heating was inadequate, and the extreme noise from the heater made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was bad, with a limited selection, an extra charge for individual eggs (?????), and dry bread. The restaurant also tries to offer a premium experience, but only the price is premium. Tiny portions, cold food, and a waiter who clearly didn't know what he was doing. He literally massacred the wine cork because he didn't know how a waiter's knife worked (somewhat embarrassing for a winery). Then, while I was eating, he cleared the table (at times leaning over me) and said, "Don't worry, you can continue eating." For a dinner for two people costing around €150 (without even getting full), that's quite cheeky. We ended up leaving two days early because the accommodation was truly awful. In summer the outdoor area is certainly very nice with the pool and the view. You have to give it to the hotel, the location is really, really nice. EDIT: After seeing the response from the hotel, I have to clarify: I did indeed bring up that we were unhappy with the accommodation and especially the points about the bed, the internet, heating and the shower. In fact, just behind me while bringing up the issues at the reception, there was another guest who confirmed that they had exactly the same problems (!!). I didn't say that we'd leave because I had a work meeting the next day. I said I had to work and I'm unable because the internet is unusable. I understand that some things were bad luck, but overall the price didn't represent the quality. I do appreciate that the staff was mostly friendly, but there are some non-trivial issues that need to be addressed.

21/09/2025: The food is fantastic. I recommend the mixed platter with various house specialties, including pappa al pomodoro, cured meats, cheeses, and flans, plus samples of the daily specials. The staff is super friendly and welcoming; you feel at home and pampered. I would definitely go back.
