09/06/2025: evening in the center of Gallipoli, walking around the historic center, we chose among all the restaurants the RosiNella trattoria.. family-run.. but I noticed that the quantity price is a little higher than average.. given that we are in a seaside location and paying a shrimp 6 euros x 4 in my opinion a little out.. and as for the seafood salad.. it was more of a small octopus salad 🐙.

30/06/2025: Vecchia Otranto is a wonderful little restaurant tucked away in the quiet backstreets of Otranto – a true hidden gem that delivers on both charm and flavour. We began with a beautifully cooked starter that was fresh, flavorful, and elevated by the addition of fresh oregano, which added a lovely, aromatic brightness to the dish. It set the tone perfectly for what was to come. For mains, we had the sagne 'ncannulate with shrimp – a standout dish with homemade pasta and deep, authentic local flavors. We also tried the tagliolini with tuna, another pasta made in-house that was rich, light, and full of character. These were perfectly complemented by a local rosé made from the Negroamaro grape – crisp, dry, and just right with seafood and pasta. We ended with a classic tiramisu – creamy, balanced, and the perfect finale to a fantastic meal. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making the entire evening feel relaxed and welcoming. This is a place that takes pride in local ingredients, traditional recipes, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Otranto who wants an authentic, delicious dining experience.

28/05/2025: There were four of us at Corte del Casaro: Two adults, a toddler, and a baby. We were looking forward to our visit – especially because of the many positive reviews we had read beforehand. Unfortunately, our overall impression was rather mixed. Ambience & Atmosphere The location is truly beautiful. The restaurant is idyllic and stylishly decorated – you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The presentation of the dishes was also consistently appealing. This is where the restaurant definitely scores points. Food Our culinary experience started off promisingly: The appetizer plate was excellent – ​​varied, fresh, and full of flavor. My wife opted for the beef with chips – very tender, beautifully seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Our daughter was also pleased with her Margherita pizza – classic but solid. Unfortunately, my own main course was disappointing: The chicken was simply not tasty, and the grilled vegetables were bland and uninspired. I returned half – something I only do in exceptional cases (when I asked why - nope). It was neither the quality nor the taste one would expect from a restaurant with such aspirations. A real shame, especially after the strong start with the appetizer. Service Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to the standard the location suggests. The staff was mostly reactive – orders were taken correctly, but proactive hospitality was lacking. A proactive glance at the table or a quick question would have been appreciated. A smile, too. Value for Money The prices are reasonable and quite fair – as long as the quality of the food matches up. In our case, that was only partially the case. Conclusion I like to give restaurants a chance to convince me – in this case, unfortunately, only my wife and daughter were completely satisfied. The ambience and individual dishes demonstrate the potential that Corte del Casaro has, but my dish and the service unfortunately had weaknesses. After the many positive reviews, I had expected more. Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars – with room for improvement

25/05/2025: Last night I celebrated my birthday with my relatives here at Santa Lucia. I must say that I was surprisingly satisfied with the welcome, very cordial, the service, young and dynamic, and the menu, decidedly good. Next event we will gladly return.

25/05/2025: I was at Voglia yesterday, in Piazza Cappuccini in Tricase, and I can say with certainty that it is a must-see for those who love well-made desserts. It is a place specialized in bomboloni, Krapfen and lobster tails filled with special and super delicious creams: Rocher cream, white cream, pistachio cream, hazelnut cream, chocolate cream, Kinder Bueno cream... and the list goes on! Every bite is a bomb of flavor. The desserts are always very fresh, filled on the spot and with quality ingredients. An explosion of flavors that makes you want to try them all. Personally, I tried the lobster tail with Rocher cream: simply spectacular. Plus, while I was there, I was lucky enough to hear celebrations in perfect Neapolitan style, a warm and cheerful atmosphere, which made the experience even more special. Even though we were in the heart of Salento, for a moment it seemed like we were in Naples, but without excess or confusion. There are two small flaws, however: 1. You can only eat outside, so you have to keep an eye on the weather. 2. Parking is complicated: I found a place about 5 minutes away on foot, but I assure you it was worth it. In conclusion: Voglia is a corner of irresistible sweetness in Tricase. If you are in the area, don't miss it. Once you try it, it becomes difficult not to come back. I tried the bombolone al Kinder Bueno at Che Voglia in Tricase: a real bomb of taste! Soft, creamy filling and sweet at the right point, with that delicious touch of Kinder Bueno that makes it irresistible. Highly recommended for a super enjoyable break!

28/04/2025: A small address in the heart of the old town, a real butcher's shop which offers good grilled meats and local wine for good value for money. You can even choose the meat from the stall! The service is pleasant and attentive.

19/06/2025: I used to come here as a child with my parents every time I went down to Puglia. I practically grew up in this restaurant and after a long time I came back and the food hasn't changed at all: fresh and delicious. An exceptional welcome and service. I wish the best to this place and all its staff.

19/06/2025: The atmosphere of the restaurant is simply enchanting. The service is top notch: attentive, friendly and never intrusive. And the pasta… Without exaggerating, it was the best I have ever eaten in my life. Authentic flavors, with excellent quality ingredients, carefully chosen and worked with a mastery worthy of a true perfectionist. I can't wait to go back!

21/06/2025: Everything perfect... From the food to the service. Dinner with my husband, we were welcomed in a pleasant way in a welcoming environment. We tasted a fabulous cutting board and an equally excellent second course accompanied by a good wine, fast service attentive to details, in particular the owner Luca made us feel at home highly recommended.

27/04/2025: In an old, perfectly renovated room, with exposed tuff block walls, there is this elegant tavern that offers typical dishes of Salento cuisine. We had fried calamari and prawns and an almond and fig semifreddo washed down with San Marzano: all excellent. Nice staff.

05/06/2025: The place is nice from an aesthetic point of view, but unfortunately the overall experience was not satisfactory. The dishes were rather poor compared to the price, leaving the feeling of an unjustified bill. The service was very disappointing: slow and almost non-existent. To get a simple bottle of water we had to go directly to the pizza chef, since the waiter was sitting at a table chatting, completely uninterested in the customers. The quality of the food was average, nothing that stands out or makes you want to come back. Too bad, because the potential is there.

03/06/2025: Arrivati verso le 14 a Castro avevamo esigenza dj mangiare qualcosa. Ci siamo affacciati dalla piazzetta che da sul porticciolo e abbiamo visto questo locale con tavoli solo all'aperto. Nonostante non avessimo prenotato e ci fosse molta gente ci hanno fatto accomodare e abbiamo mangiato. Personale davvero cortese e qualità delle portate di buon livello. Consigliatissimo.
