07/04/2026: Driven by curiosity to discover a good restaurant serving traditional cuisine, I chose this place, attracted by the large number of positive reviews. The place is charming and reminiscent of old inns, but with a modern twist, which I appreciated. Perhaps because of the expectations raised by the name and the reviews, I expected something more, especially from the appetizers (12 euros per person). The portions are rather small: few courses and often with only one tasting per person, giving the impression of being a bit modest for the price. For main courses, we tried the bombette (10 euros for 5), which were decent and overall enjoyable, and the petti di cavallo (horsemeat pieces). However, the latter didn't convince me: the sauce was too thin and flavorless, while the meat, while not tough, was slightly rough and not particularly pleasant. Honestly, you can find better versions even at festivals... not to mention the homemade ones! In conclusion, for me, it was a disappointment. It might be fine for a tourist experiencing Salento cuisine for the first time, but as a local, I'd be unlikely to return.
