I was truly impressed by the selection and quality of the cuts of meat: I was able to try several, all truly excellent. The option of grilling was also greatly appreciated. The appetizer selection was a little less impressive, but still good. The only flaw I'd like to point out is the service, which had several errors and omissions. The atmosphere was very pleasant, with outdoor seating. I'll definitely be back and recommend it.

What does aretè mean? aretè Greek word (ἀρετή) that originally meant the ability of anything, animal or person to *perform its task well*... and there's no doubt about it, but to my regret I didn't find it in this place... a truly welcoming atmosphere with just one flaw... the paintings... they should be a little more careful, given that their shape could cause problems for those with allergies, as they are cushions made of different fabrics... other than that, it's impeccable in style and elegance. Typical Salento food is quite good. I'd give the artisanal ice cream an 8. The noise from the chairs, however, is deafening... I understand that tables need to be rearranged for new diners, but with more grace, possibly on the part of the waiters, by opting for rubber pads under the chairs, which they consider essential to leaving other customers in an atmosphere suitable for enjoying dinner. Would I go back? maybe but this time I would opt for the splendid winter garden outside with furnishings that would take you back in time, fully experiencing a story in today's modernity

An ancient building, perhaps an old country house. Ample indoor parking. You can enjoy traditional Salento dishes, excellently prepared, high-quality meats, and pizzas. The ideal place to spend a quiet evening dining with friends. The staff is attentive and meticulous.

Warm and welcoming place, the food was truly excellent, from the appetizers to the meat, including an exceptional rib-eye steak, and the service was warm. A great experience.

Osteria Aretè is a true gem. A charming and well-kept location, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive and truly friendly service makes you feel right at home. Excellent, high-quality ingredients are prepared with intelligence and respect. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the traditional dishes are showcased without unnecessary overhauls. Everything is delicious, from appetizers to dessert. Excellent value. A place you'll want to return to again and again.

The location is charming, the staff courteous and knowledgeable. We ordered a starter of beef tartare with burrata, garnished with truffle, and the off-menu dish was excellent fried cardoncelli mushrooms, all delicious. We then moved on to the main course: 1kg of Danish Florentine steak... it melted in your mouth. To finish, dessert was "zoccolette" with Nutella and pistachio. I highly recommend everything I've described, as shown in the attached photos. An experience worth repeating!!!
