03/06/2026: I had dinner with my wife. We ordered orecchiette with broccoli rabe, orecchiette with meatballs, and bombette pasta. We also ordered chicory and fava beans, which wasn't on the menu, and the very kind owner accommodated us. What can I say... the food tasted like homemade and so delicious we'd return. Thank you for your hospitality.

31/05/2026: By far the best dinner in Puglia. After a week in Puglia, visiting restaurants, osterias, masserie, and trattorias, I was convinced that Puglia is the southern region with the worst food. However, this restaurant is a real gem. I ate probably the best raw shrimp and scampi of my life. The first course with sea urchins was excellent (half portion in the photo). The prices were fair, the waiters were friendly and welcoming, always ready to explain the dishes and joke with the customers. A restaurant I will keep in my heart and will definitely return to when I visit Puglia.

09/06/2026: A very nice culinary experience. The service was a bit slow, but the setting is lovely if you book in advance. We were there on Bastille Day, so it was very crowded and we were stuck in a passageway.

05/06/2026: Fantastic restaurant. The service was exceptional. The food so fresh and beautifully prepared. The chef prepared off menu dishes for a gluten free member of oour party. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Wonderful.

10/05/2026: After a while, greeted by a brisk lady (who served in her usual attire, stepping away from the register), we were placed in a large, welcoming, and clean room. A distinguished and kind gentleman with graying hair and glasses took our orders, explaining the details. So far, so good. The waiter arrived, polite, but... but... when he poured the wine into the glass, he spilled it... not done... OK. We waited an hour, I realized it was crowded, and finally we tasted what friends had been raving about... and here's the rub... the first course, orecchiette, tasted like the mass-produced ones, the sauce was a little... limp, but the flavor was more than decent. Ahhhh the pasta, like linguine with sea urchin sauce!!!!! Help..... they had disappeared, drowned in the oil... but maybe it was the sea urchin-flavored oil... we'll never know. I wanted to ask the cashier or at least tell them to say hello, maybe they were on vacation at the beach... the second course arrives... well, here we go again!! Excellent portion of mixed fried food, BUT... it wasn't good, it wasn't crispy, prepared in a hurry, perhaps not floured well??! Filthy, almost tasteless... there are much better options in less highly rated restaurants... basically, they had no flavor. I went to the cashier, not even asking how lunch went... I wanted to say something but was stopped... I definitely won't be returning easily, much to the delight of the managers. The customer must be "lulled" and not a guinea pig to be given anything, also because you can't make fun of a Salento native. Too bad, the great kindness of the maître (the gentleman with glasses) was not enough to not darken this day. Ah, this is NOT an accusatory criticism, but an opinion that serves as a suggestion to always be more....more!!!

02/06/2026: We had lunch today. The staff were friendly and professional. We ate very well. Everything was seafood-based, with a raw tuna, salmon, and shrimp appetizer; paccheri with abundant, cleaned scorpion fish; and fried calamari and shrimp. We'll be back.

We were walking around Gallipoli and found ourselves in the old alleys of Gallipoli... full of restaurants... we decided to have lunch here because we were won over by the friendliness of one of the owners and I must say it was an excellent lunch... very fresh fish cooked to perfection... impeccable service and attentive to the customer's needs... the desserts are super, especially the tiramisu... I highly recommend it...

03/05/2026: I was pleasantly impressed by the place, which features a large olive oil press in the dining room and other traditional dishes. The food is homemade and excellent, the service is fast, and Sandro's friendliness is priceless. I'll definitely be back. TOP
