11/09/2025: Great place for a casual evening with friends. Excellent food, especially the Classic Smoked Burger, probably the best sandwich I've ever had, but the patatas and churros are also worth trying. Excellent value and super friendly staff.

It's a small bet on the location and the honest work of those who earn their living day after day, without the constant influx of tourists from all over. This is what brought us here. A remote location, with an uninviting exterior and a simple, quiet, and tranquil interior. We found the dishes delicious and authentic in their simplicity. For me, this is what exploring different lands should be about. What's the point of repeating what you see in influencer videos, thinking you've achieved the best? More truth, less stereotypes. Eat here, it's worth it; you won't regret it.

09/11/2025: The atmosphere is immediately warm and welcoming, a true living room where you immediately feel at home, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The tasteful decor creates an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. But the real added value is its owner. Not only is she incredibly friendly, she's also a true master of the art of mixology and hospitality. I didn't just order a drink from the menu: I asked her for a recommendation, and she guided me through a selection of flavors, offering a passionate and knowledgeable description. The result? A perfect cocktail, balanced and made with the highest-quality ingredients. A five-star experience that I recommend to anyone passing through! I'll be back very soon!

25/10/2025: We had a wonderful time visiting Barlento multiple times during our recent visit to Morciano di Leuca. Enrica and her staff were very welcoming and the service, cappuccinos, and pasticciotti were amazing. Beautiful location for watching the sunset and next to a park the kids could play in. I can not recommend this bar enough for people wanting a great spot to share a drink and chat. Thanks Enrica and everyone there for the great times! We will be back!

22/09/2025: We spent a week in the heart of Salento, where tradition, family, and nature blend perfectly. The inn is managed and maintained by the entire family, where the new generations continue local traditions. The room was spacious, comfortable, and meticulously maintained. The terrace restaurant is truly magical. The traditional dishes are special, with an authentic flavor. The inn also offers orecchiette pasta and cheese-making classes and workshops. In the basement, there's a hot tub converted from an old water cistern. A place that stays in your heart... that gives you a moment of life that will remain forever etched in your memory. 28/11/2025: We dined at Scarpetta Hostaria for the first time, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I've had in Lecce. The restaurant is elegant but never formal, with attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. One of the aspects that struck me most was the attention to gluten-free options: all the dishes served were completely gluten-free, from appetizers to main courses, without any restrictions. A truly rare plus, especially with dishes of this caliber. This was one of the few times I've even been served gluten-free bread so I could enjoy the house-made olive oil: a simple gesture that demonstrates care and sensitivity towards those with specific dietary needs. We followed the house's recommendations for warm dishes, a selection of appetizers that proved excellent: very fresh fish, light and crispy fried foods, and crisp, never overpowering flavors. The red snapper as a main course was the true star of the evening: perfectly cooked, soft and flavorful, with balanced garnishes. A dish alone is worth the visit. The service is impeccable: attentive, knowledgeable staff, always present but never intrusive. Each course is carefully explained, enhancing the experience and conveying all the passion behind the kitchen's work. The value for money is absolutely right considering the quality of the ingredients, the skill behind the dishes, and the overall experience. It's one of those places that leaves a lasting impression and makes you want to return, and in our case, we certainly will. A restaurant that combines tradition, flavor, and customer service, even when it comes to gluten-free options, without compromising on quality. Highly recommended for those seeking a high-quality, authentic dinner with attention to every detail.

15/10/2025: What a fantastic place to unwind. The staff are very helpful and dedicated to making our stay as comfortable as possible. Beautiful, comfortable, and clean rooms with a spacious terrace. A good restaurant with delicious Chardonnay wine. A lovely and wonderful pool with a fantastic bartender. This gentleman went above and beyond to make us a delicious lunch and gave us great tips for day trips. In short, we highly recommend this location. Fantastic!

12/11/2025: NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OLD MANAGEMENT!!!! If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Yesterday we spent the evening at this restaurant to celebrate San Martino, an evening organized with a set menu by the restaurant. As soon as we sat down, we noticed water falling from the ceiling and we pointed it out to several waiters, who very calmly told us, "Yes, yes, it's normal," which for me, isn't. We were 13 adults and 7 children (5 in high chairs and 2 sitting as adults). Only 2 of these children ate two simple plates of orecchiette with tomato sauce, since the others were all small and in high chairs. When it came to the bill, we had the unpleasant surprise: ALL the children were counted as children's menu items, even though they only ate two and a simple plate of pasta. The explanation was that they had taken up a seat at the table, so it was fair to pay as if they had eaten. Are you kidding me? I understand charging the maximum cover charge, and not even considering they didn't use anything, but you're supposed to charge for what you consume and order, not for random things!!! Crazy stuff. I've never had anything like this happen to me in all my years of experience in the restaurant world, nor even as a customer, and I have to say, after yesterday, you've lost customers. And on top of that, they charged us for 14 menus when there were only 13 of us adults. Not to mention the fact that the pasta was bland and overcooked, the meat looked anything but grilled, and a fly was found inside a water bottle (they use glass ones that you fill yourself), a terrible experience. Absolutely avoid.

07/12/2025: Perfect service, a wide selection of wines, traditional dishes, and creative dishes. Very helpful and friendly staff. Outdoor seating is also available. A wide selection of fine regional and national wines. We recommend trying the traditional dishes!

23/10/2025: The place is small but refined and clean. It's located in the historic center, so it's easy to reach on foot. The service is young, professional, and friendly. The dishes are definitely the highlight of this place; the sea urchin carbonara is out of this world, and after trying it, I've never ordered it anywhere else. Overall, I recommend this place if you're in Otranto, especially for a romantic dinner.

21/10/2025: We had a great dinner with great service and high quality of the dishes. Because of a fish allergy and pregnancy they adjusted the menu for me. Which was really kind and delicious! They even had great sparkling 0.0 wine! Thanks for the great evening.
