Paying a mixed grill made up of 3 ingredients, specifically 2 pieces of sausage, 2 small rolls and 2 pieces of skewers TOTAL €12, which overall would have weighed just under 250 grams seems excessive to me, just as a cold cuts platter paid €8 is excessive. € with only 3 ingredients with not even a local selection, apart from the pecorino... moral of the story at Trattoria Iolanda you eat well, but you have to go with a full wallet.
Even 3-year-old children pay a cover charge.

04/03/2024: Really good pizzas, both normal and gluten-free, classic location, nothing special, small room with few seats, which is why a maximum time is given to eat at the table, otherwise nothing to say, pizzas all arrived together (including gluten-free ) and above all, both the dough and the ingredients are delicious. Recommended, even for takeaway.

31/03/2024: I already knew this magnificent place, I had lunch today, nothing to add, everything was delicious especially the millefeuille with swordfish and octopus! The staff is very kind, very attentive to customer needs, especially regarding intolerances, I would recommend it 100 more times! Congratulations 😊

07/04/2024: Very nice place. I chose the fish-based menu of the day. Very good except for the first course in which the fish didn't seem to be there, the pasta was very al dente and the herbs (arugula) were burnt to the point where you felt like you were eating pieces of wood. I'd say it's a dish they should revisit. Excellent starter and main course. I didn't have the dessert, so I can't judge, but the elixir (presented like this) i.e. the bitter with orange blossom, not bad but nothing special, like orange-flavoured limoncello. The parking is negative, non-existent and the lights are too dim that to clean the fish you have to use a magnifying glass and, in the long run, this lighting makes your eyes tired. Anyway, everything is good but not the best. Attentive and perfect staff.

I'm from the area but I didn't know the place, I highly recommend you all to try the dishes on the menu.

21/11/2023: Excellent and non-trivial dishes at Ippazio Turco's informal mini-restaurant in the historic center of Tricase. We've tried almost all of them...although the menu changes often. Sea bream in Boccaccio, Catalan octopus, Millefeuille di Bombette, just to name a few.
The scottona burgers and the now famous Polpanino are also excellent!

04/03/2024: Pizzas with alternative and healthy doughs. Excellent and fresh ingredients. Very kind and welcoming staff. Fair prices. Salento restaurant with star vault and relaxing colours. In the summer you can eat outside in the large internal courtyard. The icing on the cake: it's 200 meters from my house, so I walk there 😁. Highly recommended

02/04/2024: We found ourselves by chance while wandering around the web, specifically on Trip Advisor, and we chose to have Easter lunch in this very welcoming and pleasant place dating back to the 1700s, with a vast menu where you can choose any type of meat, both cut and various types of controlled steaks. and named.
I highly recommend taking the sliced picanha, truly delicious, after all the choice of meat depends on your taste.
Very efficient and polite service.
We were very satisfied and will definitely return!

Let's start from the wonderful place in which this reality is immersed: the historic home of the Piarists, located in the historic center of Tricase, where Antonio Carbone, the innkeeper, in addition to being a genuine person, brings his passion and experience to the dishes historical and researched that it offers. Varieties of fine meats are offered, combined with side dishes and traditional dishes that are almost no longer found on our tables, reviving what were the tastes of the past. The focaccia from Bari, the tarts, the desserts, the bread, all homemade, and these days gentlemen, knowing what you bring to the table is not so obvious and is becoming increasingly difficult.
The service is attentive, attentive and professional.
Having said that, I recommend this place to retrace the traditions of the past and to savor the quality of the meat on offer. A mystical experience.
