12/09/2025: Beautiful beach, not too many people, quite a few pebbles when you get into the sea... we take deckchairs and a parasol, they insist on sticking us with other couples (smokers) even though there really aren't many people!! Just look at the photos!! The food is good and the prices too for a beach restaurant... to do again

13/03/2026: A modern restaurant just outside the old city center. For us the first time to visit. We were early so the place was empty. That made the atmosphere on that moment a little bit less. Also the plastic flowers are not ideal to improve the ambiance. However the place was empty only two tables were presented close to the entry and toilets. That was a bummer because at the end of the restaurant there is a very cosy place to sit with an outdoor fireplace. The food was good, but not excellent. The service was also just good. We loved the drafted beer, that was an unexpected good beer to drink. All by all a nice evening, but regarding to previous reviews we left with a small disappointing feeling.

04/03/2026: Zio Giglio, the only truly gluten-free pizzeria, a celiac can assure you! Their homemade pizza dough is nothing like the usual frozen pizza bases. The gluten-free deli is incredibly well-stocked and, honestly, so good you'd never guess it's gluten-free. For a sweet tooth like me, stepping into Zio Giglio is like stepping into heaven. Their krapfen? Simply amazing: soft and light, a far cry from the chewy, hard-to-swallow treats we're often accustomed to. The place is simple and welcoming, but the owner is the real deal. An example that left me speechless: recently, I sat in the outdoor dining area and, despite my being the only occupied table, the owner didn't hesitate to turn on the heating without me even asking. Takeout service deserves top marks: every time I've ordered, everything has been ready at the agreed-upon time, without endless waits. Finally, it's impossible not to mention the presence of disabled people on the team: their kindness and enthusiasm touch the heart.

02/03/2026: A Lecce institution. The first pizzeria to offer gluten-free options. Delicious, fresh, and high-quality ingredients. A paradise for celiacs, where they can enjoy a worry-free dinner from appetizer to dessert. The outdoor gazebo is a bit chilly, but the interior is truly charming, albeit small. Friendly and polite staff.

17/02/2026: Let's start with the fact that the food is delicious. The staff is always friendly, quick to serve, and available to answer any questions. Pericle also knows how to recommend dishes perfectly, making you feel immediately at ease and enjoying his wonderful dishes. The atmosphere inside is cozy and comfortable, and in the summer you can also eat outside in the square, where you can admire the beautiful historic center of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: SPECCHIA. I highly recommend it and would love to return 👍👍👍

30/01/2026: Away from the chaos of Salento, there are still small villages waiting to be discovered, where you can also find unique places where flavor and quality are a pleasant surprise. Aquanegra Paravineria is a true gem in Castrignano de' Greci, an indoor dining room where the counter displays products, cured meats and cheeses like a typical Florentine shop, and many labels to choose from. Whether it's a rich aperitif or a tasty dinner, at Aquanegra you'll be spoiled for choice with first courses, exquisite meats, pizza, and of course, you have to save room for the desserts, which Luca Moriero, an extraordinary host, prepares personally, having a background as a pastry chef. The outdoor seating is a typical Salento courtyard, with fairy lights, plants, and white stones adorning the perimeter, leaving room for the starry sky.

08/12/2025: I had a very positive experience at AquaNegra Paravineria. Located in the heart of Grecia Salentina, in Castrignano dei Greci, it presents itself as a place that goes beyond a simple wine shop or restaurant. The name says it all: "AquaNegra" is a clear reference to Negroamaro, a typical grape variety of Puglia, and particularly of Salento... "Paravineria," on the other hand, is a term that, through a play on words, refers to everything that revolves around good wine, good food, and everything healthy. As soon as you walk through the front door, you immediately notice a very welcoming space, built in Lecce stone, despite its size. Opposite is the corner for the pork butcher's shop and delicatessen with hanging hams and the corner for the pizzeria with a wood-fired oven. Browsing the menu, you immediately understand the restaurant's signature style, with a vast selection of cured meats and cheeses, including excellent meats, as well as a selection of pasta dishes and pizzas. The gastronomic offering is vast and varied, as is the extensive selection on the wine list, featuring regional, national, and even international labels. For the occasion, we sampled the truly excellent cured meats and cheeses platter, a pizza with bresaola, almonds, and buffalo mozzarella, which was also delicious. This was also a very well-cooked Angus steak, succulent and delicious. The service was courteous and competent. The price wasn't at all high considering the quality of the ingredients used... €32 per person, a glass of Negroamaro, water, limoncello, and cover charge included. AquaNegra... a well-rounded gastronomic experience you absolutely must try...!!!
