21/08/2025: We spent five nights in the Natisone Valley, and during our stay we went there almost every day for every occasion. Bread, pizza, baked goods, and pastries…all the products sparkled in the windows and in the baskets, making us stumped. Before leaving, we also picked up a piece of "Cuor di Marrone" (if I weren't allergic to nuts, I would have loved to try the famous Gubana!); it was so delicious and it gave us a sense of luxury. It's a real treasure; I'd go there every day if I lived nearby…in the meantime, we'll definitely try buying online for the special occasion.

30/07/2025: My wife and I happened upon this place yesterday on our way back from Udine. We were truly impressed by this place. First of all...even though it was crowded, the two girls (I think the owners) welcomed us with a smile, warmth, friendliness, and customer service!!! Secondly, the food and wine were EXCELLENT. They gave us really good advice. A wonderful discovery and a stop to remember on our way back from Udine!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

19/07/2025: We tried the tasting menu and it was an excellent experience. The view is splendid, the atmosphere elegant and relaxing. The food is of the highest quality, with well-crafted and flavorful dishes. Everything was impeccable, from the presentation to the flavors. A great strength is the service: the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever being intrusive. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended for those seeking refined cuisine in a panoramic setting.

05/08/2025: "Closed for health reasons, for an unspecified period of time." This was written on the front door on August 3, 2025. So unfortunately I can't share much experience about the place.

17/07/2025: An old trattoria serving delicious homemade dishes. I didn't see a menu, but the dishes are listed verbally, and you can sample several. There were five of us, and each of us ordered two half portions. We ended up sampling up to three different first courses each. The options included herb risotto, tagliatelle with mushrooms, pennette with sausage, and delicious pumpkin gnocchi that were worth the whole meal! Side dishes are available buffet-style, and included in the cover charge, I'd say. The side dishes included boiled potatoes, salad, radicchio, beans, boiled chicory, Russian salad, sweet and sour onions, and probably more I can't remember. For the main course, we ordered a taste of venison, and it was served with white polenta. Drinks are also included in the cover charge: they bring still and sparkling water and wine to the table by default. Everything was delicious, and the price was reasonable for the service (about thirty euros per person)!

13/08/2025: "I Dolci di Irma" is a little gem nestled in the mountains of Valbruna. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pastries and an atmosphere reminiscent of home and tradition. The atmosphere is warm and meticulously crafted, with wood, warm colors, and decorations that make you feel like you're in a corner of an Alpine fairytale. The variety of desserts is impressive: fragrant strudels, soft and delicious buchteln, cakes of every kind (the wild berry ones are truly exquisite), crumbly biscuits, fragrant tarts, and homemade jams. Each product is handcrafted with fresh ingredients, many of which are local, and you can taste the difference from the first bite. The portions are generous and the prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality: a slice of cake costs around €2.50-3.00, and jams between €4.50 and €6. The service is generally friendly, although on occasion I felt a bit rushed in answering questions, especially during peak hours. A written menu would help you choose more quickly from all the delicacies available, avoiding having to ask for everything verbally. Details aside, this pastry shop is a destination in itself. It's worth traveling a few extra kilometers just to stop here for breakfast or a revitalizing snack after a hike in the mountains. A slice of cake, a herbal tea or coffee, and the view of the Julian Alps outside the window: that's all you need to feel happy. I highly recommend trying it, and be warned... after the first visit, it becomes a regular stop!

06/08/2025: A charming place, with an atmosphere steeped in Napoleon and the Treaty of Campoformido, even with an "N" on the ice bucket for the wine! The owners are all busy: mother and daughter serving, and father in the kitchen. The grilled fish is excellent. French is spoken ;-)
