Excellent local food. Very efficient and friendly staff. Also ideal for a quick stop off the highway.

A genuine and welcoming place. The owner and his son are kind and make you feel at home. Excellent food, with the liver arrosticini and "sbagliati" arrosticini being the standouts. The latter are a real treat: as an Abruzzese, I've never found them anywhere else, and I have to say... they work great! Thanks again for your hospitality.

For lunch, we stopped at the Marlon restaurant, inspired by its excellent reviews and traditional local cuisine. The handmade fettuccine with ragù and the cacio e ova balls, rich in local cheese, were indeed excellent and plentiful. Unfortunately, something went wrong with the arrosticini, some a little burned and slightly undercooked in the center, and they arrived quite late (we'd been told they were cooking a few minutes earlier...). The roast potatoes were rubbery on the outside and very hot on the inside. However, we accepted everything, without finishing the potatoes. The problem arose when the owner asked me if everything was okay, and I said yes, but mentioned the arrosticini. At this point, with an exaggerated reaction, I was told that I should have mentioned them while I was eating them, because they would have replaced them with others that were properly cooked. Even though my good-natured response, like "OK, next time I'll mention it right away," wasn't enough, the owner continued to reiterate his point even more forcefully, forgetting to apologize at least a little if things didn't go smoothly in the kitchen this time. And thank goodness I didn't say anything about the potatoes.

A trattoria where quality cuisine and professional management are the real stars. The atmosphere is simple and informal, but it easily takes a back seat to the authentic flavors and expertise of the owner and his family. I highly recommend Pier Paolo (Lugo di Romagna)

We had a wonderful time. The food was traditional, tasty, and delicious, the portions generous, and the welcome was truly wonderful. I recommend trying the Centerba, a fragrant local liqueur.
