29/03/2026: Exceptional. We tried the classic tasting menu and it was truly extraordinary: each dish was an explosion of flavors, taking us on a true journey through the Carnic region. An authentic experience and highly recommended. The wine tasting was also very interesting and thoughtful, with unconventional choices perfectly paired with the dishes, bringing out every nuance. Finally, the service was impeccable: the staff were professional, attentive, and exceptionally kind. One detail we greatly appreciated was the attention given to our dog, for whom a small bowl of homemade meat kibble was prepared, along with water. A truly worthwhile experience.

Some dishes are interesting and elaborate, both in presentation and preparation, while some options don't justify the price: €13 for a late-season radicchio dish with four pine nuts and a mousse is too much. Bread is not included, but it could easily be included in the €3 cover charge. The table setting lacks some attention: a runner or placemat would be appreciated to avoid having to put bread on the table. The desserts are excellent!
23/03/2026: I attended the cooking class organized by the restaurant. Chef Pierre is a wonderful person, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer excellent advice. The quality of the ingredients was undeniable, and the preparation was on par with the best restaurants. The pairings and plating were the result of careful study and great skill. I will definitely be back.

07/03/2026: Perhaps one of the best Michelin-starred restaurants I've ever been to. Michela and Emanuele Scarello run this restaurant in the heart of Friuli. The experience is extraordinary, starting with an aperitif and freshly prepared table setting. I tried the classic tasting menu; chef Emanuele Scarello takes you on a journey of fresh, vegetal and citrus flavors in every course. All courses have a "doppio," or a combination of the main course. We also had an off-menu dish that amazed us. The pastries were a surprise: desserts that aren't sweet, blending with savory notes to bring a perfect experience to a fresh conclusion. The service was impeccable; Maître d' Michela made us feel at home and left us with a little something to make our remaining days in the Collio area special. I hope to return soon.
05/03/2026: Perfect anniversary! My fiancée and I celebrated our third anniversary yesterday. We couldn't have chosen a better place! They welcomed us right away with an aperitif, followed by the tasting menu. A unique experience, with a perfect balance of seafood and meat dishes. I'll remember the pigeon for a long time! The pastries were also delicious. The service was meticulously maintained. Recommended for anyone looking for a special evening.

06/04/2026: Entering A Thousand and One Nights or One Thousand and One Nights is a bit like finding yourself inside the famous fresco of The School of Athens, watching Plato and Socrates argue at center stage. Everything seems constructed to suggest depth, culture, and meaning, but the feeling is that the diner remains more of a spectator than a true participant in that truth. Like Socrates, one might begin to ask simple questions: what am I really eating, how much is this dish really worth, where lies the substance behind the appearance? And it is precisely from this internal dialogue that doubts emerge. The prices are positioned in a range that promises a rich experience, but often the perceived quality of the ingredients doesn't seem to fully support that promise. The flavors, which should be intense and distinctive, sometimes seem muted, almost as if they were adapted more to please everyone than to convey a true identity. The case of cod is emblematic, which in some preparations reaches the point of completely losing its recognizability, leaving one wondering whether what one is eating is truly cod or a vague interpretation of it. Plato, in the painting, points upward, toward the world of perfect ideas, a Platonic level where everything should strive for absolute excellence. Here, however, that Platonic ideal remains suspended, while something more earthly, more ordinary, arrives on the plate than one might expect. The atmosphere, the setting, and the theme work, but they risk becoming the true center of the experience, relegating the food to a secondary position. Socrates, on the other hand, brought back to an empirical dimension, would arrive at a much simpler and more concrete conclusion: the bill is real, the dishes are what they are, and the empirical result of the experience is that one ends up spending more than the food, in its essence, can truly repay.
02/04/2026: My friends and I have been coming here since we were at Sello, 20 years ago. It's one of our favorite places, and even though we haven't lived in Friuli for many years, every time we return it's a must!
