A historic establishment, where nothing is missing, not even good salami to pair with excellent wine... and here the Schioppettino reigns supreme, given that this is the Colli Orientali area, and especially the Schioppettino subzone. Excellent and fast service. Welcoming and friendly.

As with every trip to Friuli, a visit to Da Mario was obligatory. Still fantastic! Food, service, atmosphere – everything was top-notch. The junior owner and his incredibly warm waitress took wonderful care of us. It couldn't be better. We'll definitely be back.

We've been visiting Mario's for at least 25 years and are delighted to witness the generational transition without the slightest loss of quality. The dishes have evolved without losing their fantastic flavor. A visit to Friuli without eating at da Mario's is simply unthinkable.

We stumbled upon it today after touring the Collio wineries. From the outside, it exudes authenticity, and inside, it confirms a simple yet welcoming atmosphere that immediately whets your appetite. The staff are extremely kind and knowledgeable, the food excellent—I had the pork tenderloin, which was a delight, but the rabbit tortelli weren't bad either. The wine was excellent (we took home six bottles), and the desserts were exquisite. I can only recommend this trattoria; it will definitely be our go-to next time we're in the area. Special thanks to the young man who welcomed us and took our orders.

I returned after a year and I always found it top notch from the welcome to the food and the whole family. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO STOP AND EVEN TO LEAVE HOME TO GO THERE.

03/06/2026: A wonderful experience. When I arrived, it was already packed, but we tried to get in line anyway. A member of staff stood in line asking how many of us there were and told us the estimated time it would take to get a table, which was accurate. The place is beautifully decorated inside, and the restrooms are spotless. The only thing I would recommend is putting more stable tables outside, because having a table that moves while you're cutting the meat isn't ideal. The staff was friendly and quick to serve the dishes, which were delicious (we chose seafood pasta and a cutlet). The service charge is €4, which seems a bit high, but it also includes a plate of rosemary focaccia to start the meal and orange sorbet with limoncello to finish, both of which were very well received. Also, a special touch is that they bring a bowl of gummy bears with the sorbet, which I really appreciated. That said, the value for money is fantastic and I can't wait to go back to try other dishes.

Vecchia Osteria alla Pieve

12/07/2026: We really appreciated the chef's presence, who personally came to our table to take our order. The kids were super happy with the homemade tagliatelle with meat sauce, which were truly excellent. We were having dinner with friends, who ordered two tagliata: excellent quality meat, perfectly cooked! My husband and I tried everything, but it's a shame we couldn't eat the ciarcions we'd ordered because the chef unfortunately forgot our order. I feel compelled to defend this osteria because we all make mistakes, and few know how to cook such perfect dishes with such passion. It was an unexpected event that can happen, but it doesn't change our minds: we'll definitely be back!
12/07/2026: We booked for a quiet Sunday lunch. We found everything excellent: the carefully prepared traditional dishes, the tasty, quality cheeses. The staff was attentive and friendly. It's wonderful to find places like this.
